New Era employees were excited to once again volunteer with the New Era Cap Foundation at this year’s Special Olympics New York Unified Bocce Tournament. Special Olympics is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. Employees had a great time scorekeeping, passing out awards, and cheering on the teams. Thank you Special Olympics NY for all you do!

On Friday, September 20th, the New Era Cap Foundation brought together over 150 NEC employees for an incredible day, including our company golf tournament, a beginner's clinic with former LPGA Tour player Cindy Miller, and some fun tailgating with yard games! The New Era Cap DEI Council teamed up with Beau Fleuve Music & Arts for Summer 2024, releasing custom caps designed by council members at community events leading up to the Beau Fleuve Music & Arts Celebration at Buffalo Central Terminal. At the festival, the DEI Council and volunteers offered cap customization with original patches by Buffalo artists The Ghost, Made by Mek, and The Left-Handed Bandit. Beau Fleuve, known for bridging generational and community gaps through art and music, embodies the motto "Culturally Activated, Community Engaged.
