📄 Exciting New Research Publication! 💥 We’re proud to share that our #P2R partner Deltares, along with Valeria Di Fant and co-authors Hans Middelkoop, Frances E. Dunn, and Marjolijn Haasnoot, has just published a new paper in Regional Environmental Change! The paper, titled "Supporting adaptive pathways planning using archetypes for climate adaptation", introduces a novel set of archetypes designed to support adaptive pathways planning. These archetypes are based on different combinations of adaptation awareness and adaptation capacity, offering fit-for-purpose methods and tools for policymakers across the globe. The research draws on a wide range of cities and regions, providing valuable insights to help communities effectively navigate the complexities of climate adaptation. 🌱 Keen to learn more? 💶🌡️Insights from Pathways2Resilience partner Regions4 on how to bridge the Climate Finance Gap - a throwback. At #COP29, the MAIA Resilience EU project hosted "Building the Business Case for Climate Finance at the Subnational Level," a high-level side event that brought together experts to address one of the biggest barriers to climate action: funding at the local level. Key Takeaways: 💰 More funding must reach local and regional actors to scale climate action. 🌱 Adaptation remains critically underfunded—less than 2% of global climate finance. 🤝 Public-private collaboration is essential to unlock investment. 📊 Better data-sharing and governance will improve access to finance. 💡 Capacity-building is key to designing bankable projects. The way forward? - Increase direct climate finance for local and regional actors - Develop innovative financial instruments tailored to subnational needs - Strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors - Transition from short-term funding to long-term resilience investments Together, we can empower subnational actors to turn climate ambition into action! 🤓 Read the full event outcomes report and discover key takeaways & recommendations to drive subnational climate finance forward: https://lnkd.in/eY6iT4fh What are your thoughts on scaling subnational climate finance?
