We did it again! 😮 Recently, some colleagues from our Home Entertainment and Sound Operations (HE&S Ops) department went back to the Basingstoke Canal and dedicated the day to helping the environment by cleaning the area.   The team contributed to the maintenance and some improvement works for the Canal by cleaning, preparing and painting lock gates, bollards and surrounds. Away from the laptop, the team enjoyed the sunshine, contributed to making a positive change in the local community, got acknowledgement from the people living nearby, and experienced a new way of doing teamwork!   Well done, team, and thanks to Basingstoke Canal Society for the opportunity and your dedication. 🙌🏼   Sony Europe #SonyCares #Sustainability #Environment #SocialContribution

Sony Europe was pleased to welcome the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to their Weybridge HQ to record the second in the series of RNIB Connect Radio conversations. The conversations seek to raise awareness of the features and work that Sony does across all areas of Accessibility and to further connect with the RNIB blind and partially sighted community. At Sony Europe, we recognize the transformative power of data in driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence. Throughout June, our DX Governance department organized a European-wide Data Literacy Month, an initiative dedicated to educating our teams and enhancing their ability to harness data effectively and responsibly. Employees were invited to engage through a series of interactive sessions designed to empower them with essential skills in LLMs, data analytics and AI Governance. From beginner tutorials to advanced analytics sessions, there was something for everyone! We ended the month with an inspiring session from the DX Solutions & Technology team's leadership highlighting several of our exciting initiatives. These activities were well received by all and exemplify Sony Europe’s ongoing commitment to investing in our employees’ development training and upskilling through brand new technologies. The Sony Summer Challenge 2024 has officially wrapped up! 🏆 A massive shoutout to our 1,400 colleagues who participated, collectively covering over 290,000 km through running, walking, cycling, and swimming. Your incredible efforts have raised more than €33,000 for our chosen charity, Save the Children International! You've made us proud and shown what we can achieve together. Trento is the European Capital of Volunteering 2024 (https://lnkd.in/d6YjwfpB), and SSS EUTDC is thrilled to be part of it! As a key contributor to the Trento Corporate Volunteering pilot project, EUTDC is dedicated to promoting corporate volunteering and sharing best practices among local businesses. This month, our team embraced the great outdoors, partnering with the SAT - Società degli Alpinisti Tridentini (Tridentine Mountaineers Society - Bindesi branch) to maintain hiking trails in the local woods. Energized by Italian handmade jam tart 🥧 and armed with rakes, pickaxes, and brushes, we cleared paths, trimmed overgrowth, managed rainwater drainage, and repainted trail markers for hikers and tourists to enjoy. 🌄 This time we worked on the valley, the next goal is to reach the top at 1738 mt! 🏔️ Thank you EUTDC for your contribution to Mountain Safeguard and for celebrating the spirit of volunteering!
