🌍🌞 Update from the Consell Comarcal del Gironès, a member of Sun4All Community of Practice 🌞🌍 In Salt, a small city of the 🇪🇸 Gironès facing significant energy poverty, the Sun4All project supported the creation of a local energy community model integrating public and private sectors. The goal? Empowering the community with self-consumption of renewable energy and selling surplus energy. Key steps included identifying engaged stakeholders, conducting energy studies, and creating an economic plan to support vulnerable households. While the legal framework isn't final yet, the project has paved the way for prioritising vulnerable communities and addressing energy poverty at its roots. Lessons learned? It's essential to combine energy actions with strong communication, foster collaboration, and set short-term goals that lead to long-term impact. Let’s continue working together towards a sustainable energy future! 💡🌱 🔗 Read more: https://bit.ly/3MZ8lBV #Sun4All #EnergyTransition #EnergyCommunities #SustainableFuture #EnergyPoverty #ConsellComarcalGironès
