Last week, our Asturias-based team partnered with Bosquia, a Certified B Corporation specializing in forest restoration and the recovery of natural spaces, to plant one hectare of native trees in Pola de Siero, a municipality in Asturias. This initiative was made possible by contributions from over 5,000 Volotea customers, with Volotea doubling their donations. Guided by Bosquia’s experts, our employees planted tree species that will support local biodiversity. 🌳 The day also included an environmental session on reforestation and its role in preserving local ecosystems. To commemorate the initiative, we also installed a biodegradable monument recognizing our Volotea Forest. This initiative reflects our commitment to minimizing our carbon footprint, made even more special through projects that engage our teams in local sustainability efforts. Thank you to Bosquia for leading this initiative, our customers for their donations, and our team in Asturias for their support and enthusiasm. 💚 #Volotea #Bosquia #Reforestation #Sustainability #Asturias

We're happy to announce that we've renewed our partnership with Azkuna Zentroa - Alhóndiga Bilbao for the third consecutive year! This year, we’re supporting the new exhibition by Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota, "My House Is Your House," which will be open from May 27th to September 28th, 2025. Chiharu Shiota is internationally recognized for her immersive installations that explore themes of memory, identity, and human connection. Using intricate thread structures, sculptures, and personal objects, she creates deeply evocative works that invite audiences to reflect on the emotions that shape our lives. What makes this new exhibition even more special? A key part is community participation—Bilbao residents are invited to contribute their own stories to the artwork, though submissions are open to all! 🎨 How does it work? 📝 Participants can write a letter or create a drawing about what ‘home’ means to them—what it’s made of, what it represents, and how they would describe it. 🖊️ Submissions must be handwritten or drawn on white paper. 📸 Once completed, the letter or drawing should be photographed or scanned and sent to info@azkunazentroa.eus with the subject line “CHIHARU SHIOTA LETTER” before May 1st. At Volotea, we believe in the power of art and culture to bring people together, fostering creativity and connection. We’re proud to continue supporting projects like these that make a lasting impact in the communities where we operate. A big thank you to Azkuna Zentroa - Alhóndiga Bilbao and Chiharu Shiota for trusting us as partners in this meaningful project. 🤝 To learn more about the exhibition, read our article on Volare: https://lnkd.in/eebAtxkC. #Volotea #AzkunaZentroa #ChiharuShiota #MyHouseIsYourHouse #Bilbao #Art #Culture

At Volotea, our culture is shaped by our people. That’s why we launched our Culture Ambassador initiative a year ago, with one colleague per base championing our values and strengthening team spirit. Some have been with us for over 10 years, while others have recently joined, but all are committed to making Volotea a great workplace. 🌟 Last month, our Culture Ambassadors gathered at our HQ for our first-ever Culture Ambassador Summit! 🚀 During their visit, they toured our Operations Control Center (OCC), met with teams from Crew Travel, Scheduling, Social Media, and more to share insights from their bases. They also presented their 2024 initiatives, discussed employee survey results, and shaped their 2025 engagement plan. 💡 Culture Ambassadors bring our teams closer together through their dedication—leading team-building activities, organizing volunteering opportunities, and supporting sponsorship initiatives. They collaborate daily with Base Managers, Chief Pilots, and Station Managers, and meet monthly to align priorities and bring new ideas to life. Thank you to all our Volotea Culture Ambassadors for your commitment and impact! 🤝✈️ #Volotea #CultureAmbassadors #LifeatVolotea #AviationCommunity #Voloteans

We’re excited to share our Culture Deck 📖—a defining resource that shapes our collective identity at Volotea, capturing the values and behaviors that guide how we work together and grow. It explores what culture is, how it’s built, maintained, and adapts over time, and how it connects to our mission of connecting small and mid-sized European cities ✈️. At its core are our 10 Leadership Principles, which reflect the mindset that drives how we lead, collaborate, and evolve as a team. Our Culture Deck is available as a book at our HQ and bases and digitally on our website. Soon, it will jump off the pages through Principles in Action, a video series where our employees, called Voloteans, share their perspectives and experiences in applying these principles in their day-to-day work and roles. To kick things off, we’ve gathered thoughts and insights from our Founder/CEO, Carlos Muñoz, Special Advisor to the CEO, Roman Pané, General Manager & CCO, David G., and CPO, Cristina Xercavins, in a special introduction video. 🎥 We invite you to explore our Culture Deck and see how it shapes life at Volotea: https://lnkd.in/eRyp2-KA.
