The first half of this week I've attended the IMC'24, Internet Measurement Conference, from ACM, Association for Computing Machinery held in a privileged venue such as Fundación Telefónica. The conference has been really inspiring and the perfect ecosystem for the first steps of my Industrial PhD. It was my first time in a top-tier academic event and both, the conference sessions and the organization, have been amazing, especially thanks to the efforts of the IMDEA Software Institute colleagues taking care of all the attendees. In this context, we presented our work in a poster titled "Estimating Cell Load from End-user Crowdsourced Measurements in a Real-world Cellular Network", in which I had the pleasure to work with my Thesis supervisors, Zoraida Frías Barroso and Luis Mendo Tomás. We would like to acknowledge WePlan Analytics and especially Eduardo Yraola Crespo for their support and the opportunities they give us to conduct our research. Excited for everything to come! #WeTelecomInsights today in Indonesia 🌍 📱 Market share: Telkomsel is the number one operator in Indonesia (46%), followed by PT. Indosat Tbk (28%), PT XL Axiata Tbk (16%) and PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (10%). 📡 5G users: Although 5G is not yet extended in the country, the MNO with the most 5G clients is Telkomsel (3%). 📞 VoLTE use: Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest adoption of VoLTE, with at least 94% of the country's calls made using this technology. ⚡Latency: Indosat and Smartfren are the operators that have the best latency (with 90% of measurements rated good, at least).
