𝘚𝘦 𝘵𝘪 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪, 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪. Participating in the Abruzzo Wine Tourism Movement event was exciting. Thanks Nicola, Fausto and the team for the organization, and for facilitating the discussion with Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline's country manager - a company that "has firmly placed Abruzzo on the global stage". Thank you, Mauro and Vittorio, Ryanair is an important partner for hospitality establishments. The event provided wineries with a significant learning opportunity, thanks to Wine Meridian with Lavinia and Fabio. Challenges emerged regarding online presence, limited weekend openings, and some wineries still not offering enotourism services. However, there is a strong determination to improve, highlighting a deep commitment to hospitality and empathy towards guests. Wineries, with proper training and well-crafted offerings, enable hospitality companies like Discover Tortoreto to provide guests with exceptional wine tourism experiences. 🌍 Three months into 2024 and life is on the move! Wrapped up the last study semester of my International Master on Wine Tourism Transitions and Innovations - WINTOUR with my amazing Wintour 7 Wine Family, and said goodbye to them for a few months while everyone ventured to their internships in different countries. 🍇 ✈️ As for myself, I caught an intercontinental flight to South Africa, my 8th temporary home! For both personal and professional reasons, I'm diving into a new country and culture, enjoying the benefits of remote work and thesis writing from warmer climates especially while starting my remote internship with Winedering, joining the Onboarding and Sales team! 🚀 #NewChapter #RemoteInternship #GlobalExperience #WineIndustry

February was my month to wrap up the academic part of the Master’s in wine tourism, pack my luggage, say “See you later” to beautiful Porto, and start new endeavours in a new destination 🌍 Looking back on my wine tourism journey through Spain, France, and Portugal, I realized I could not choose a better educational program. In 3 semesters with International Master on Wine Tourism Transitions and Innovations - WINTOUR I’ve visited 21 wine regions in 3 leading wine-producing countries, talked to owners and managers of 55 wineries only within the programme, shared options on the wine tourism beauties and challenges with 13 DMOs, and tasted an uncountable number of wines from all over the world. Profound wine education paired with tourism, marketing, and innovation – a perfect blend for the dynamic industry. I also worked for a Relais & Châteaux hotel launch in amazing Priorat and was an assistant winemaker for the 2023 harvest. I believe it is important to be open-minded and explore many businesses within the industry to see similarities, differences, approaches, and opportunities. That’s what I used to do, that is what I keep doing.
