  • #Recovery in sports centers: more important than it seems. For many players, staying active isn't about competing; it's about playing pain-free and keeping injuries at bay. But too often recovery is neglected until it is too late. #Sportscenters are responding to players' needs by beginning to change that. Recovery services such as cryotherapy, physical therapy, and recovery rooms are no longer just for professionals. Everyday players are looking for ways to stay in the game longer, recover faster, and avoid the injuries that keep them off the field. Integrating these solutions into sports centers is not just an additional service, but is becoming an expectation. Clubs that recognize this need will not only improve the player experience, but also create new revenue streams and increased customer loyalty. We explored how and why catch-up needs to be part of sports center offerings in the article linked to the first comment 👇 🤖 This video is an AI.

  • Our latest 5 a side indoor #soccer #innovation. At WSBSPORT, we always focus on innovation, and our latest design for Sogility St. Louis introduces a unique feature for 5-a-side soccer: an 8-foot side wall. This addition improves the field in many ways: ⚽ More dynamic play - The extended side wall increases the rebound area, allowing more strategic & no-stop play and fluid ball movement. 👀 Total immersion - The raised structure creates a more enclosed atmosphere, amplifying the intensity of each game. 🪑 Enhanced spectator experience - The design can integrate supporting surfaces, improving comfort and visibility for fans. We don't just build fields; we work with our partners to best design and realize their dreams.

  • The rise of #padel in #sports #tourism For decades, #golf has been the staple of sports tourism, with exclusive courses and luxury resorts attracting millions of players worldwide. But a new sport is rapidly emerging, with great potential for the world of sports tourism. Padel is no longer a niche-related activity. With more than 30 million active players and forecasts exceeding 50 million in the coming years, it has all the potential to become a real driver of sports tourism. Top golf clubs have built entire business models around hospitality, networking, and high-end experiences. Now padel clubs have before them the opportunity to follow the same path, transforming themselves into well-rounded destinations that go beyond the game. How? By integrating hospitality, premium services and exclusive events, creating spaces that attract players not just to play, but to have a greater experience. We explored how padel clubs can be inspired by the success of golf to shape the future of sports tourism in the article linked in the first comment 👇 🤖 This video is an AI.

  • Did you know that temperature fluctuations can cause glass to break spontaneously? At WSBSPORT, we prevent this risk by using the Heat Soak Test (HST), a process that simulates the temperature fluctuations glass will experience once installed outdoors. When exposed to continuous temperature variations, glass with high iron content or nickel sulfide (NiS) inclusions may develop microfractures that can lead to spontaneous breakage. The HST process accelerates this effect in a controlled environment, allowing us to identify and eliminate over 99% of potentially defective panels before installation. Here’s how it works: 🌡️ The glass is heated to 290°C and held at that temperature. ❄️ This simulates the thermal stress glass will face due to daily heating and cooling cycles. 💥 If a panel is structurally weak, it shatters during testing rather than in real-world conditions, ensuring long-term durability. We applied this process to the three glass-walled 5-a-side soccer fields we built for DAVENPORT FAMILY YMCA, guaranteeing maximum safety and reliability in a facility exposed to changing weather conditions. At WSBSPORT, we design sports centers with cutting-edge engineering, ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards of performance and durability.

  • The end of traditional #memberships in #sportscenters. For years, sports center memberships have followed the same pattern: fixed fees, long-term contracts and unlimited access. But is this model still relevant today? The way people relate to sports centers has changed along with people's habits. People now seek flexibility, personalization and value-oriented experiences, not just access to a playground. This change is pushing the industry toward new types of membership based on engagement rather than rigid contracts. The most forward-thinking sports centers are already adapting to create a stronger connection with players. We explored the evolution of membership and what this means for the future of sports centers in the article linked in the first comment 👇 🤖 This video is an AI.

More #Sports, More #Possibilities: Inside Socceroof New Rochelle’s First Multisport Facility Socceroof has traditionally focused on 5-a-side #soccer, with adaptable fields that could transform into 6-a-side or 7-a-side configurations by removing common walls. Now, at the newly developed New Rochelle venue, designed in collaboration with WSBSPORT, we've taken it a step further together! This club features the same adaptable format, allowing 5-a-side fields to convert into 7-a-side or even 9-a-side pitches by removing common walls: two adjacent fields create a 7-a-side pitch, while three combine for a full 9-a-side field. In addition, Socceroof has introduced three multisport courts designed for pickleball, basketball, and futsal, featuring high-quality PVC flooring with multi-markings and no surrounding walls. The facility also includes batting cages for baseball training, further expanding its versatility. This innovative design maximizes the ability to provide a premium sports experience within limited space while optimizing the available surface area. We’re proud to have played a key role in the development of this state-of-the-art facility. Huge thanks to Socceroof for bringing this groundbreaking concept to life with us!

  • How #communities are revolutionizing #sportscenters Sports centers have long been seen as places where people go to train and play, but today they are so much more. And not just because of multi-purpose design, which helps people reclaim their time Designing spaces that foster real engagement is not just about providing fields or equipment, but also about building community around a shared passion. #Padel clubs are a great example. These centers go beyond the game, creating environments where players connect through workouts, social events, and shared experiences all linked by a common thread. A shared #passion. This model is expanding to other sports, from #climbing gyms to #running centers. We explored how passion-driven sports centers are shaping the future of the industry in the article linked in the first comment 👇 🤖 This video is an AI.

  • Revolutionizing 5-a-Side #Soccer from #Hockey Rinks Did you know that indoor soccer originated in hockey rinks? In the late 20th century, North American players turned off-season arenas into soccer fields, using the boards and walls to keep the game fast and continuous. #IndoorSoccer was born. At WSBSPORT, we’ve embraced this history to innovate our indoor 5-a-side soccer field. Our new design features 6-foot-high tempered glass walls on the shorter sides, allowing players to strategically use these walls while providing spectators with an unobstructed view. In addition, the compact size of this field brings the excitement of indoor soccer to a smaller, more dynamic 5-a-side format. This makes it ideal for urban areas and sports complexes looking to offer a premium soccer experience in limited spaces or maximize their available space. We're proud to have supported Prestige Indoor Sports of Kortne Ford and Brandon Ramirez in Overland Park, Kansas, bringing their vision to life by implementing the 5-a-side indoor soccer style pitch for their facility.

  • The new rules of #sportscenters design The success of sports centers no longer depends only on the type of facilities, but more importantly on how they are designed and planned. How a space is experienced depends in large part on how it is designed, and this is one of the aspects of design that most requires attention to detail. Design is about clearly communicating the values of the center's brand concept, but it is also about bringing them to life fully, enhancing the user experience. We explored how design should change the sports centers of the future in the article linked in the first comment 👇 🤖 This video is an AI.
