Strategic Project Manager

We are a sustainable infrastructure company with a majority of our business in renewable energy assets. We complement our portfolio of renewable assets with storage, efficient natural gas and transmission infrastructure assets, as enablers of the transition towards a clean energy mix. We are also present in water infrastructure assets, a sector at the core of sustainable development.

Our purpose is to support the transition towards a more sustainable world by investing in and managing sustainable infrastructure, while creating long-term value for our investors and the rest of our stakeholders.

We currently own or have an interest in a portfolio of diversified assets in terms of business sector and geographic footprint. Our portfolio consists of 40 assets with 2,048 MW of aggregate renewable energy installed generation capacity (of which approximately 72% is solar), 343 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power generation capacity, 55MWt of district heating capacity, 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines and 17.5 M ft3 per day of water desalination.

We own and manage operating facilities throughout the North America, South America and EMEA regions. More specifically, in Spain we have five solar energy facilities located throughout the country.

We are currently seeking for a Strategic Project Manager to work with and strengthen our Business Transformation team, based either in the Madrid or Seville office.

Responsibilities

In Business Transformation, we lead projects that drive the execution of the company's strategy, taking a holistic approach to key business challenges across a wide range of topics: from top line/cost savings initiatives or the integration of a new acquisition, to transforming the way thousands of employees work with new digital tools or simply improving our processes. ​

As a Strategic Project Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Business Transformation and lead strategic initiatives to help Atlantica execute its strategy. You will work closely with the various business units all around the world, getting to the heart of the matter and taking end-to-end responsibility for the projects under your scope: from defining the problem and designing the solution, to driving implementation together with the business units ensuring long-term sustainable impact.​

The responsibilities of a Strategic Project Manager are:​

• Lead strategic projects end-to-end, including planning, resourcing and budget management.​
• Report to top management on the progress and impact of projects within their scope.​
• Engage with the business beyond the project to make the best decisions and act as an advisor to business managers.​
• Identify new opportunities for improvement by performing diagnostics in specific areas of any type.​

We are looking for a candidate with relevant consulting experience (ideally 4-6 years), with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent client hands and communication abilities to lead the company's most complex projects, manage issues that arise during implementation, and act as an advisor to business leaders at all times.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, exceptional academics required. Master’s degree is desirable.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - most of our work is in an international environment!

Personal Skills

• Problem-solving oriented and strong analytical skills.​
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to successfully interact with multicultural and cross-functional teams.​
• Quick learning ability, proactiveness and positive energy.​
• Proficiency in Excel and Power Point. Desirable experience with MIRO/MURAL, PowerBI, Power Automate/RPA, MS Copilot.

Technical Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in consulting focused on operations-related topics (manufacturing and/or energy sectors).​
• Familiarity with process design, desirable experience with Lean/Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).​
• Proven track record of playing a leadership role in a work environment.
