This drone can land on power lines and recharge itself for uninterrupted operations. This Ph.D. study aims to develop drones that can autonomously navigate near high-voltage power lines, land on them, and recharge their batteries. Drone Infrastructure Inspection & Interaction Group at the University of Southern Denmark carried out this research as part of the Drones4Energy project.
