  • MotoGP™ extends partnership with Sportian, Globant’s Sports Division 🤝 MotoGP has extended its long-term partnership with Sportian, the sports division of Globant. As the collective fightback against sports piracy continues, the partnership has achieved breakthrough results in removing illegal content. Since beginning its anti-piracy partnership with LALIGA, co-founder of Sportian, over five years ago, MotoGP has been successful in tracking and removing illegal broadcasts across social media, apps, video-on-demand (VOD) services, search engines, and illegal streaming sites. The technology services, now operated by Sportian’s Piracy Guard, have set a new benchmark for sports anti-piracy. Going forward, the partnership intends to explore the integration of AI and machine learning technologies to support the detection and categorization of pirated content, to aid the continual fight against audiovisual theft. Piracy Guard provides MotoGP with reactive removal of illegal content and proactive monitoring for emerging threats. Over the next year, Sportian will continue to fine-tune these services to adapt to emerging threats, providing proactive security assessments to detect and shut down new vulnerabilities that may emerge across the broadcast landscape, and leveraging automation and predictive analytics to adapt to evolving piracy tactics. MotoGP continues to achieve record-breaking attendances, surpassing 3 million spectators in 2024 for the first time in the sport’s history and reporting impressive growth across global TV viewership and digital channels. MotoGP excels not only in the organization and promotion of the most exciting sport on Earth but also in its commitment in the fight against piracy. This long-term partnership between MotoGP and Globant Sportian is a reference in the market, driving investment in innovations to fight the piracy of live sporting events such as Sportian’s Piracy Guard.  Piracy Guard, a combination of powerful detection tools and expert analyst oversight, ensures that unauthorized streams are identified in real time and swiftly removed. Created from the in-house piracy team of LALIGA, Piracy Guard holds working partnerships with more than 70 of the world’s largest online platforms and Google TCRP certification, the solution routinely achieves a removal rate of over 90%, while gathering insights and intelligence to support subsequent legal actions and dynamic blocking orders. MotoGP will race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until 2031. Winner of Best GP for the Championship-deciding #SolidarityGP in 2024, located in one of the world’s true headliner cities and always packed with passionate fans of the most exciting sport on earth, it couldn’t be a better combination. Since its debut in 1992, the track has become a giant on the calendar, holding 34 Grands Prix so far and becoming the circuit on the calendar with the third most consecutive seasons hosting MotoGP 🤝 #MotoGP will now add even more chapters to our already storied history in Barcelona thanks to this new contract extension. Miquel Sàmper, Minister of Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia and president of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya: "We celebrate this deal, which strengthens Catalonia's connection to motor racing, particularly the Grand Prix, which has been held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya since 1992, over 30 years ago. Securing the MotoGP Grand Prix until 2031 is excellent news for Catalonia's reputation as a host of premier international sporting events. In an increasingly internationalized and competitive environment, Catalonia's ability to maintain a circuit in such a stable manner is an achievement to be proud of." Pau Relat, President of Fira de Barcelona and Fira Circuit: "The extension of the contract until 2031 is excellent news for the Circuit. We are very pleased to continue hosting the premier motorcycle racing championship, which has been linked to the Catalan track since 1992 and has an enormous worldwide impact. At Fira Circuit, we are committed to collaborating with the institutions, Dorna, and the entire MotoGP community to ensure that the Grand Prix consistently meets the highest standards and becomes, year after year, an unforgettable experience for fans and members of the championship." Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports: "We’re very happy to pen this new agreement with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. They never fail to deliver a world-class fan weekend, we always have impressive attendance figures, and the track is so well connected to Barcelona, one of the world’s most culturally relevant cities. This is a winning combination for us and we’re excited to continue racing there." Our next date with the Catalan GP takes place from the 5th to the 7th of September 2025. We hope you can join us! 🏁

  • SEASON LAUNCH: MotoGP raises the roof in Bangkok #MotoGP has landed in Bangkok! 🇹🇭 Our first ever Season Launch was a stunner, with a packed Sunday of different events for fans on site and those watching around the world. We reached max crowd capacity in the stage show and can most definitely confirm that the city has heard we've arrived. The day started with the creation of an iconic picture at the Marble Temple. A stunning building and one of Bangkok’s best-known sites, the temple proved the perfect backdrop for the first class photo of the year. The bikes also arrived in style – on tuk tuks 🛺 and all led by the new BMW M Safety Car 🚨Heading through the streets of Bangkok, the parade announced our arrival and proved the perfect delivery as the bikes made their way to the temple to be put in place for the photo. From there, it was a pitstop for some interviews 🗣️ and then time to gear up for the street and stage show. On street bikes, each rider made their way to the stage on a lap round the block and into the main venue in ONE Bangkok. The brief: do anything you want and make as much noise as you wish. Certainly Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) went for it, with one burnout and then another and another 💨 Not long after, he got some competition from another reliable rubber burner: Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Racing). And then... Finally, the stage. Why do the season launch? To create a fan event to remember, and one that’s completely FREE to enjoy for anyone and everyone. And to make some noise! Not only could the fans see the riders head round to the stage on street bikes, but then they got to hear the MotoGP bikes too. Every factory fired up one of their machines on stage, with the riders giving it a twist of the wrist to show the max capacity crowd the incredible sound of MotoGP ✊💨 The grand finale was also chance for the riders to talk directly to the fans and the crowd. With the season opener set for Buriram in a few weeks as another year appears on the horizon for the most exciting sport on earth, it’s the perfect warm up for many of the fans who’ll make their way to Chang International Circuit for the first showdowns of the year. As well as those who may have just heard what MotoGP is... and all the faithful already watching around the world. See you there!
