Nickbroker Kim's brilliant 'Come On' is concise pop genius, without an ounce of fat to trim. Kurt's songs are consistently top shelf. I choose the cover as my favorite, as I have long loved this Seekers song. I've tried to cover it, and it's difficult. The Fastbacks nail it in a moving and authentic way that remains punk rock. My gut tells me the deep cuts will surprise with more listens and yield a different top pick. A good problem to have. Favorite track: I'll Never Find Another You.

Tom Dyer I would characterize this album as "Business as usual", which I consider a mighty high compliment. Teenage pals take 27 years off, become geezers, then pedal down again. Fuck yeah! Favorite track: The World Inside.

Jay Sometimes one of your all-time favorite bands puts out their first new album in 25 years, and it's AMAZING. Favorite track: I'll Never Find Another You.

mabewa It's just awesome! Given their track record, we had every right to expect this album to be good, But it's not just good! This is completly top-tier Fastbacks, as good as anything they've ever done. They are fast, they are funny, they are dark, they rock hard, they have brainworm melodies, and they don't sound diminished by the years one bit. Just a stunning comeback album, with everything you ever loved about them and more, It's going to be hard for anybody to make a better album in 2024.
