In September, 15 years ago, a man in a leather jacket rang the Codemate doorbell at our old Oulu office. Today, we are celebrating his remarkable 15-year journey at Codemate. We are proud and grateful to have you with us, Lasse Määttä.
Some of us remember Lasse from before his Codemate days. He was an active figure in the tech student [teekkari] community, known by some as the OTIT guild chairman, and a participant in Teekkarien Jäynäkisa [tech students’ prank race] in Oulu and in national competition. 😈
After his student years, Lasse explored many facets of the IT world. From developing and project management to testing and even entrepreneurship. During his time at Codemate, he has also worked as an account manager in customer projects, one of which took him all the way to China.
As Codemate has grown, so has Lasse. Today, his inbox and phone are always open to codemates, ready to offer support and he’s always ready to put himself on the line. He has a unique ability to navigate the balance between the needs of the company and its people, ensuring that Codemate is a great place to work for everyone.
So, let’s raise our glasses to our Chief People Officer, Lasse, and his incredible 15 years with Codemate. Let’s hope that we go forward another 15! 🥂
