Accidents involving everyday #chemical products can happen at any time. 📣𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐅𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. UFI is: 👉 a 16-character code that starts with the letters UFI 👉 found on the labels of some products containing chemicals. These products may harm your health if not used correctly. 👉 If an accident happens, the UFI code on the product helps poison centre or, in some cases your doctor, give you accurate medical advice faster. You may be asked to provide the code. Learn why #UFImattersEU 🔗https://lnkd.in/deGtMjBp

#ChemicalSafetyEU - In its October meeting, our Member State Committee agreed to identify triphenyl phosphate as a substance of very high concern, #SVHC, because of its endocrine disrupting properties in the environment. ECHA will add the substance to the Candidate List in November 2024. The committee also approved the non-vertebrate HYBIT test, to be used as the standard information requirement under #EU_REACH, where applicable. Using the test as default is another step towards reducing testing on vertebrate animals. #AlternativesToAnimalTesting 🔗https://fcld.ly/mscoct24l
