It's time to wrap up the spring season of 2024 and extend a heartfelt thank you to all our customers, partners, and team members for a successful start to the year. Our teams have been hard at work across the globe on major refurbishment projects, with our new build team currently finalizing the delivery of Mein Schiff 7 in Finland. As we head into a well-deserved summer holiday season, we look forward to the upcoming fall season of refurbishments and new build projects for the Star of the Seas delivery in Spring 2025. It's good to see the cruise vessel refurbishment industry making a comeback post-pandemic. Looks like 2025 will be a busy year ahead for all of us! KAEFER Oy Refurbishment team successfully converted an existing Video Arcade into a new Thermal SPA, Video Arcade with an updated design, Entourage, and Relaxation Lounge. Our scope included everything from basic design to final installation, and we took responsibility for providing classification drawings for approval, full interior design, delivery and installation, full electrical design, material delivery and installation, full HVAC design, material delivery and installation, and full piping and steel design, material delivery and installation. We completed the project in just 6 months, working in a dry dock only in 24 days in 2 full shifts. The total area of the project is 1500 sqm and includes 4 special rooms: Ice room, Aromatic Steam Room, Finnish Sauna, and Salt room. We also installed 2 new pools with brand new water treatment systems, 2 new decorative water walls and water treatment systems, 7 new experience showers including control units, and 45 pieces of heated loungers. Additionally, we designed and installed a extended A-class water treatment room in the deck below, including all required piping. We're proud of the results and can't wait for guests to experience the new Thermal SPA.
