Ahoy, great news! We’ll be equipping the 94-story Hainan Center on the country’s southernmost island in the South China Sea, known for its tropical climate. Developed by Hainan Development Holding Ltd and constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd, this 428-meter skyscraper follows the design of architecture firm HENN. When completed, our KONE UltraRope® hoisting technology – which is less sensitive to building sway – will provide a smooth elevator ride, even during rough seas. “We take great pride in contributing to this high-rise project that enhances the cityscape of Hainan,” said Joe Bao (包嘉峰), our Executive Vice President of Greater China.     He continued; “KONE has a long history of providing people flow solutions for high-grade, mixed-use office buildings in complex environments.
