Talking about the Nordic-Baltic region, NIB’s André Küüsvek highlighted the region's leadership in sustainable finance, and noted that examples from the Bank's clients who invest heavily in innovation can be followed to increase productivity in Europe. “We must be smart and fast, even if we are small. Always a pleasure to meet our Governors: André Küüsvek and our Lithuanian colleagues discussed unlocking access to capital with Minister of Finance Gintare Skaiste 🤝 As part of the meeting Vilnius, the Minister and André signed a state guarantee agreement for our loan to LTG Link for electric trains 🚆 “Our continuous cooperation with LTG Group companies is greening Lithuania’s transport sector,” said André on the loan. “The fleet renewal will not only help LTG Link attract more travellers to choose trains over cars for their journeys, but also allow them to further strengthen the country’s railway integration with Europe.” ”NIB finances primarily infrastructure developments, energy efficiency and environmental projects as well as supports Lithuania’s long-term strategic goals,” said Gintarė Skaistė during the signing ceremony. “While the Bank has been most active in our public sector, we welcome that more and more investments recently were aimed at the private sector too.” 🇱🇹 Over the years, we have provided around EUR 1.8 billion in financing to more than 115 projects in #Lithuania. #SustainableFinance #IFI Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania
