We are a Finnish family-owned energy and environmental technology company founded in 1961.
We specialize in environmental technology with a special emphasis on product research and development work.
The main focus areas of our research and development are on improving energy efficiency, decreasing emission levels, and developing new solutions using renewable energy sources.
We manufacture and sell:
• burners and combustion systems for liquid and gaseous fuels in the capacity range of 10 kW – 90 MW
• industrial heat pumps and water chillers
• ground source heat pumps.
The service activities are in an important role throughout the products' life cycle.
Our products are used e.g. in power plants, pulp and paper, process industry, waste incineration, marine applications, district heating plants, for heating and cooling large buildings and facilities, and for heating private houses.
We have production facilities in Finland, USA and China. In addition, we have sales office in Brazil and Germany as well as more than 70 resellers all over the world.

We have very exciting news! Our LN30 burner has reached a NOx level of less than 20 mg/Nm³ in a reverse flame boiler. The record-breaking low emissions have been measured at a commissioning of a district heating plant near Dresden, Germany.
“We are shocked. This technology is truly revolutionary. No burner manufacturer has ever come close to NOx levels this low in a reverse flame boiler,” says Philipp Schiffer, CEO of Kolb Steamtec, an Oilon distributor in Germany.
Before the retrofit installation took place late last year, the NOx level was approximately 150 mg/Nm3. Hence, the drop to less than 20 mg/Nm³ was almost 90 percent. This level has been maintained in the plant since November 2024.
According to the European Union’s directive, gas-fired plants must reach a minimum NOx level of 100 mg/Nm³ starting January 2025. Consequently, low-emission solutions are needed for plants that do not meet this requirement.
“This is green transition in practice. We are proud to present future-proof energy technology that will serve decades to come,” says Olli Teva, Oilon’s Chief Business Officer.

Our Net Promoter Score (NPS), a key indicator of customer experience and loyalty, reached 39, reflecting the trust and appreciation for Oilon as a partner that understands customer needs.
We are deeply grateful for the thoughtful feedback our customers shared. While we are encouraged by these results, we recognize there is always room for growth. By listening to and learning from our customers, we continue to make improvements and build even greater trust for the future.
