Simple way of simulating fluids with #quantum computers? The latest blog post from our Quantum Labs is by Niccolò Fonio, a visiting PhD researcher from Aix-Marseille University. Niccolò joined our Quantum Labs in September, bringing his expertise in quantum computing and fluid dynamics. In his guest post, he explores Quantum Lattice Gas Cellular Automata (#LGCA), a numerical method for fluid dynamics simulations. He breaks down the topic and explains how LGCA can be used as a "simple" method to simulate fluid behavior on a quantum computer. Niccolò also shares his experience working with our team in Finland, and his thoughts on the potential of quantum computing in the context of physics simulations. These are the 6 most common challenges with traditional APIs (that the Quanscient API solves) Let’s take a look at them together: 1. Complex setups can be a nightmare, involving tricky dependencies and compilation steps 2. Relying on outdated Java APIs creates a steep learning curve and leads to too much boilerplate code 3. Having separate licenses for different software packages increases costs and limits flexibility 4. Licensing constraints often limit the number of parallel simulations and lead to bottlenecks 5. Integration with other tools is typically restricted to those with specific modules or a Java-based architecture 6. Reliance on workarounds, like manual data exchanges and search-and-replace methods in scripts are inefficient and error-prone In summary, traditional simulation APIs can be complex to set up, are specific to single products that solve only certain physics, and offer limited integration options. With the Quanscient API, you can avoid these challenges. To learn how, read our recent blog article below. After all, why deal with complicated setups when Quanscient API can do the heavy lifting? https://lnkd.in/dPjVR_Ff

Engineers, by nature, want to make their work more efficient. In the context of modeling and simulations, APIs are a great way to go about that. Traditional API’s, however, often present challenges with their complexity and limited integration options. Designed with user-friendliness in mind, Quanscient API enables the flexibility and freedom you and your design processes deserve. This is enabled by: • Automatic simulations from your CAD software • Programmatic control of the simulations with Python • Centralized simulation results directly through the API To learn more about the Quanscient API and see it in action, register for our upcoming #webinar! (And yes, all registrants will receive the recording and PDF summary) https://lnkd.in/dnFKh9d4

How Proxima Fusion utilizes the Quanscient API In our recent #HTS webinar, Dr. Nicolò Riva detailed how Proxima Fusion uses the Quanscient API to automate complex magneto-mechanical simulations for their stellarator coils. They faced the challenge of frequent design iterations from their plasma physicists where previously, each new coil configuration required significant manual effort to set up. With the Quanscient API, they've automated this workflow. Here's how it works: 1. Proxima Fusion provides the CAD model of the coil and the mesh (created, for example, with Gmsh) 2. They define material properties, boundary conditions, and simulation parameters in a Python script 3. The API handles the transfer of this information to Quanscient Allsolve 4. Allsolve automatically sets up and executes the magneto-mechanical simulation, leveraging cloud computing and #DDM for faster results 5. Proxima Fusion receives the simulation results directly through the API for further analysis and design optimization This automated workflow saves Proxima Fusion significant time and effort, allowing them to focus on design optimization and analysis instead of managing the simulations themselves. Watch the full clip of Dr. Riva walking through their workflow below, and learn more about the Quanscient API in our upcoming #webinar. Read more and register for the webinar from the link in the comments.
