On many occasions, I've been tirelessly stressing the need for a "growth mentality" here, because it's clear there is a lack of it in the ecosystem. There's a strong conservative attitude towards entrepreneurship. Most businesses are satisfied with their current status and show no interest in selling globally, which is crucial for growth. The biggest brands in the country are supermarkets and large corporations that focus on local markets, not driving national growth. Very few companies are actively hiring because they're stuck in a cycle where growth requires talent, and talent requires growth. Growth mentality is the key element there, it breaks the curse. Even the well-known local mega companies, which are not many, are kept alive/productive with millions of funds that smaller startup entrepreneurs have to jump through burning hoops to receive. Biggest technology companies, that are actually occasionally hiring, are practically contractors, outsourcing high-tech innovations to other countries' R&D centers and big brands. Helping billion-dollar foreign global companies earn the next billion, while barely keeping ends meet inside. Even I know and have heard when a contract was cancelled from a well-known foreign global brand, one of these local tech companies was, of course, forced to kick out an established team of extraordinary talents which have already luckily and happily settled in the country with their families and so... There is an immense talent, knowledge and experience already woven to the fabric of the society here, and also it exists within the talents imported from outside, but creating brands and selling globally is the only way to grow any country or company. Apparently, I'm not alone in this view; data of the research from Oxford University backs these concerns. I'm going to do my best to inject "growth mentality" to any corporation, startup, or an indie maker I cross paths with here, because this country deserves so much to grow, due to its beautiful roots. As we already know that current social media is not built for that.

Vetää todellakin sanattomaksi. Me Suomi Oy Ab:ssa emme ole itseasiassa viimeiseen 16 vuoteen onnistuneet juurikaan kasvamaan. Vaan olemme jääneet todella paljon jälkeen verrokkimaitamme kasvussa, esimerkiksi muita pohjoismaita. Samalla ostovoimamme on heikentynyt, ja elämme velaksi jo kohta 17-vuotta putkeen. Tämä maa tarvitsee kasvua. Tarvitsemme viisaampia päätöksiä, sekä rohkeampaa ja ketterämpää tekemistä. Me tarvitsemme järkevämpää valtion verorahojen käyttöä. Me tarvitsemme lisää yrittäjyyttä tukevia päätöksiä, emmekä yrittäjiä rankaisevia päätöksiä, sellaisia kuten nyt. Edesmenneen presidenttimme Mauno Koiviston sanoin; "Tarttis tehrä jotain".
