Ninyes Inc succeeded in finalizing a small but critical funding round of 300k before the summer holidays. It was led by Innovestor and finalized by Vaens. We also got some really experienced Finnish and international angels onboard such as Serge Licht, Hannes Wirnsberger and Ilkka Kaikuvuo. Me and Elina are really thankful for the new investors, plus our existing investors such as Stephen Industries for pitching in, who believe in us, in our international growth and in circular economy. As most start-ups know, it has been extremely difficult to get funding during the past 12 months. And strangely enough, even more so for CO2 reducing start-ups in areas such as circularity, sustainability or food tech. Our success in finalizing the round was, naturally, due to a great business model and an already revenue generating phase, but especially due to hard work. We identified about 90 potential smaller VCs and angels, got about 30 meetings and finally succeeded in getting eight new investors. The proceeds of this funding round will mainly be used for our international expansion and one of our focus areas will now be the DACH region. We have already established our office in Berlin, gotten the first local brands onboard and even opened our first small pop-up store in Berlin. So to anyone struggling with your funding efforts, see that your business model is truly relevant, already makes money and then just work hard. Really hard. In our AGM we also nominated some new board members and thus warmly welcome Piia Maaranen, Kalle Hiitola and Seppo Siljama.
