Tulevaisuuden hautajaisissa ei pelkästään sanota hyvästejä Toimistotyölle, vaan avaudutaan myös uusille visioille. Miltä työ näyttää, tuntuu, maistuu ja kuulostaa 2030-luvulle siirryttäessä? Curating Futures - Future of Reading Inspired by last week’s Helsinki Book Fair (Kirjamessut), I used my new FIBRES tool to create a quick overview radar exploring the evolving landscape of reading. The reading market is thriving, boosted by audiobooks, digital formats, and gamified reading experiences that engage audiences in new ways. 💜 Finally, Content Shifts highlight growing interest in niche subgenres, meeting readers’ demand for more tailored content. A lot has happened in this yet short autumn, and that’s been wonderful! First and foremost, there are now over 800 of you following Vivian White. That brings me so much joy! It’s amazing to see people from various fields, and I have to admit—I’m curious about you and your future-driven ideas. The future isn’t just one thing, but what fascinates me most is how differently we all relate to it. Each of us has our own approach and perception, and that’s what makes it so intriguing. We’re always eager to know what’s coming, so we can prepare. But I’d like to shift the focus slightly: let’s remember that we are all actively creating the future as we speak. We explore, we curate, and we shape it—sometimes not even consciously, but always with our own knowledge and experiences. That’s why it’s so important to remember: futures are made together. We need to make sense of the events, trends, and weak signals quietly emerging around us. We need to understand not just what’s happening now, but what we want to create for tomorrow.
