We are building new homes in Kladno, Czech Republic! Former industrial area will be developed into a cosy new residential area with plenty of green areas nearby. 💚 We have agreed with the Czech housing cooperative BD Portti Kladno on the sale of the first phase of the apartment building project, and the construction of the apartment buildings that belong to it. In the first phase, which is now starting, we will build 85 communal housing apartments, which the housing cooperative will sell to its members. With the agreement, our first housing project will be launched in the city of Kladno in the Czech Republic. The Portti Kladno project comprises almost 200 apartments, which will be built in two construction phases. In the second phase, we will build apartments for sale on the free market. “We are expanding towards wider coverage of the Czech housing market in accordance with YIT's strategy and to support the growth objectives of the strategy period. The city of Kladno offers good train connections to Prague, and a new express train line that is under planning will improve the transport connections even further. Owning a home is considered a more economically attractive option than renting: 42% of respondents view owning a home as the more economically sensible option, while 29% favor renting. 2. Concerns about future renovation needs have increased: 31% of homeowners anticipate that renovation costs will rise significantly in the coming years. 3. Public transportation remains the primary mode of travel. Residents hope that the development of transportation modes will continue to focus on public, pedestrian, and bicycle transport. 4. We have published our Financial Statements Bulletin 2024. Apartment sales and new apartment starts increased towards the end of the year. ”In the Baltic and CEE countries, fourth quarter consumer apartment sales was the highest quarterly apartment sales in three years. In Finland, the increasing trend in apartment sales continued supported by December, which was the best sales month of the year.
