The big news this week is that the Connectivity Standards Alliance has released the 1.3 spec of Matter. This update brings tons of new device categories as well as other improvements.
A good portion of the episode is also devoted to what went wrong with Brilliant, the smart home wall controller that recently shuttered.
In other news, we saw pushback on Sonos and its newly-redesigned app. It removed several popular features and walked back some accessibility features.
Sonos says that they are working on adding many of these features back and the first major update should arrive by the end of the month.
There's a new Hue app for Mac called HueMenu that allows for easy control of your Philips Hue smart lights.
Finally, we went hands-on with the Ridge wallet that was updated with MagSafe and a few Find My options to pair with it.
