  1. I realize that there aren't that many mods that are WW2 themed based on "The Nexus" for Fallout New Vegas. I might be wrong and i wanted to ask if anybody knew a few mods out there. Stuff from weapons to armor/clothing. Even a re texture type thing were the factions are changed. I wanted to know your thought and what WW2 themed mods would you guys want to see. Who knows maybe a generous moddder would see this and make a few mods for us. Thank you.

  3. Hello all, I have a very odd problem. Anyone that's modded Fallout New Vegas knows that you need the NVSE and 4GB launcher (for the most part). I forget where or how, but I changed the name of the Launcher.exe to something in order to make the game always launch from Steam with the 4GB Launcher, without the bootsrapper. I got a new monitor, going from 1440x900 to 1920x1080. When I try to play FNV, it still locks into 1440x900. I can't get to the bootstrapper, which is what lets you change the resolution, and don't want to mess with the .exe's in fear of messing up what I did. I tried messing with the resolution in the game properties on Steam, but it did not work. Does anyone know what I should change the .exe's to in order to get to the bootstrapper, or how to manually change the resolution to 1920x1080? Thank you.

Hi everyone, ( sorry for my bad english i'm french ) Usually i try to solve my problems by myself but now i'm totally lost... i searched on google for a solution but no good answer for my problem... i tried to use fnvedit for some issues but nothing found... Here my problem: Some random enemies are invincible, i can't use v.a.t.s on them and the "kill" console command doesn't work at all. the only thing i can do is "disable" console command...   5. I've run into some trouble while working on the template of a creature companion. Whenever I try to talk to them no option appears to initiate dialogue, only their name appears.   6. So I've been trying to find out why ENB isn't working properly anymore for me and why I get huge lag main menu and ingame plus why do I get very bad fps on main menu. I tried to see if my Fallout NV worked normally with ENB, but nope. Same there I get huge lag and bad fps on main menu and long loading times and when I try to turn around the game freezes for 5-10 seconds until I can turn around and experience it again. I really hope somebody could help me with this problem. I've turned Vsync off from control panel, tried to tweak enblocal.ini, tried to tweak skyrim.ini and pref.ini, I reinstalled nvidia drivers but no luck at all. I even went to the ENB forums, but didn't get absolutely nobody to help me. I am really getting pissed because I like to play Skyrim with ENB and now suddenly it doesn't work even tho it worked fine last weekend until I uninstalled Skyrim and all mods plus removed ini files. So what I am asking if somebody REALLY could help me so I don't need to waste my time ripping my hair off and banging my head on wall because of something ridiculously stupid.... :dry:
  7. MCM warning message: "DarNified UI has been detected in the HUD but not the Start Menu." I've found more than a dozen attempts over the years to explain how to resolve this, but none of them explain exactly what this error means. If you aren't using the specific mod manager they use, you are out of luck understanding how to apply their lesson to your situation without a lot of research and experimentation. So to save someone else from wasting a lot of time digging into it, this is an explanation of the root cause as I understand it, so anyone can apply their own solution to their particular situation. The basic problem is one of "install order", which arises from multiple User Interface mods (UIs) which have to use the same XML files to change the appearance of the Menus and Heads Up Display (HUD) in the game. The last mod installed "wins" by overwriting files previously installed by other mods. "Mod Configuration Manager" (MCM) inserts itself into the "Pause" menu of Fallout New Vegas (the screen with "Continue", "Load", "Save", "Settings", etc.) to combine compliant mods configuration settings into a single menu. One of the files installed by many of these UI mods is under the "Data\Menus\options" folder, and is named "start_menu.xml". This is the "start menu" referred to in the MCM error message, and there can be only one. Most of them are very similar, with minor variations in font and height for different elements but the DarnUI version adds considerable additional elements. The important thing is that it has all the elements other mods are expecting (as determined by comparing them for differences), so they don't have a problem with it. The complexity arises because the "Darnified UI" (DarnUI) mod needs to be installed earlier in the process than other UI mods. DarnUI makes changes to the size and position of various HUD elements, which is one of it's primary attractions. The later installing mods need to be able to detect or be told that DarnUI has been installed so they can adjust to fit. (This is usually done by installing a DarnUI specific version or patch file.) Unfortunately if they also have a "start_menu.xml" file (which they need if there isn't one already), it overwrites the one from DarnUI when they are installed later in the "install order". This causes the specific DarnUI version of "start_menu.xml" to be lost. MCM detects this, and you get the warning message. Some mod managers like "Mod Organizer" apparently update/overwrite the installed files when they are adjusted in "Load Order" (LO) position, so moving DarnUI later in the LO once all the mods have been installed causes DarnUI's "start_menu.xml" file to "win"; but other mod managers don't. For them, adjusting the LO doesn't help. Once you understand the cause, the solution in the latter case is simple: create an "install package" (a simple 7Zip file will do) that has nothing in it but the DarnUI "Menus\options\start_menu.xml" file copied from the DarnUI package and install it with your mod manager or manually to the "Data" folder after all the other UI modifying mods so it "wins". (Be sure to include the "relative" path so it goes into the correct folder.) MCM recognizes this "start menu" file is from DarnUI and stops complaining, and it works fine with the other mods, especially if they are expecting DarnUI. I install this "override" "start_menu/xml" file after MCM but before "The Weapon Mod Menu" (TWMM), OneHud (oHUD) and "User Interface Organzier" (UIO). "Your mileage may vary." -Dubious-

My game keeps crashing when ever i load into a area it will either just crash and tell me FNV stoped working or the roulette wheel spins it will just stop and i have to close the process. the mods im using are mods a lot of people use and im not using a lot so i cant figure out why this keeps happning I have all the Dlc and the Ultimate version of the game coming with them.   12. Recently I was playing New Vegas, and came across a (modded in) raider with a sniper rifle, standing watch near some frag mines on a table. I just had a varmint rifle, so I was in no way equipped to take him head-on. I decided I'd be smart and shoot the frag mines, exploding him. Sadly that's not what happened. The frag mine I shot just bounced off and the raider turned around and shot me. I know active explosives can be detonated with bullets, could that be extended to inactive ones too?
  13. I have been trying to find a way to transfer Griffon's Wig from Fallout 3 over to New Vegas (with no avail). If at all possible, could someone do this transfer? If so, would it also be possible to make it into a hairstyle to be equipped in the Character Creator? OR, if you know of a good resource that explains how to move items to New Vegas, that would be just as appreciated! Thanks again!
  14. Ok, I downloaded a save that gave me all perks, maxed S.P.E.C.I.A.L. (Only 9 luck for Lonesome Road Glitch), and 100 in all skills. The problem is that the character was level one (I like that since I still feel accomplished); and the maker of the save was too lazy to unlock the second and third (and so on) levels of some perks. One of these is Intense Training and I reached the level where that was the only perk available to choose but I didn't want to encounter the glitch in Lonesome Road with completely maxed S.P.E.C.I.A.L.; The next problem is that you can't not choose a perk/can't not choose a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat to increase with Intense Training. So I am stuck and I need the help of a mod to fix my troubles here or just a small patch to the various flaws in the perk system that disable me from continuing. Note: If you plan to edit my save in some way keep in mind I am in the Honest Hearts DLC and have all DLC if there might be an issue with that. (I have no idea how to use programs such as G.E.C.K. and I'm just guessing with my basic knowledge that that may pose an incompatibility problem)
  15. Hey what's up every body, had a quick question, Can someone give me a step by step answer on what I'm trying to do.... Ok here's what I'm tying to do.. Basicly I have downloaded some great armor mods & some dope weapon mods. I want to go inside the GECK & equip NPC's with the armor and guns. Let's say for example I have downloaded "Drags Modern Gunslinger Armor" and I really want to replace the NCR veteran rangers with it. Does anybody know how I can do that. ?????? Because once I figure it out I plan on changing up all the npc's the way I want. This is my first post & Im a little new to modding. I know how to use the G.E.C.K. A bit. But I'm not on that expert level, ya dig!
  16. Hi! Thanks for clicking on this request! Basically, i would LOVE a mod with the band members from A7X to be in FNV! That means Jimmy AND ARIN! (Dont think i was leaving either of them out! Haters!) So.... I would love to see you do something creative with Matt Shadows, Zacky Vengance, Johny Christ, Synyster Gates, Jimmy Sullivan, AND ARIN ILJEY. Wants: Every band member EXCEPT Jimmy, to be found at a casino (or if you are really good, you can make their own stage, put it somewhere, and make PC buy tickets!) And then, you watch them, (casino you HAVE to sit down, because it will trigger the thing where you cant move, but there is an option to skip!) AND THEN, when the concert/gig is done, they come off stage, and you can press "e" to "talk" to all of them, but only Matt will have dialog options, then he will ask you to find Jimmy "Knife Master" Sullivan! And then you go somewhere to find him, and (not trying to be rude!) but I want it to be a fairly long quest, not just you go one place, go to another, and then another, BOOM its done, I WANT (hence the "Wants" up there) it to go to another land if possible, TO CALIFORNIA! But you cant bring companions. EXCEPT THE REST OF THE BAND!!!!!!! YEAH YOU CAN THEM GO WITH YOU ON THE QUEST : "The hunt for Jimmy 'The Knife Master' Sullivan!" be creative, and I would love for arin to still be in the band when you find Jimmy, BECAUSE THEY ALL CHILL AT YOUR HOUSE (preferably the underwater home base thing, or dont script where they go, make the PC bring them there, and tell them to wait here, which will activate the "chill mode") Maybe you can add there studio too!   19. I'm not quite sure that this is the right place to put this, but it seems like it. Whenever I try to open NMM for F:NV, it shows the loading screen for a split second and then crashes. I put it here because Skyrim works fine, but F:NV doesn't. I don't really know what else to put for now so I'll just put important specs.   23. So today i installed a few mods, and almost everthing works, but everytime i go outside of doc mitchells house, it literally spams my computer that fnv is out of memory. I tried to use the 4gb memory mod but i dont know if i did something wrong... (just placed it in the fnv folder) Even though i start fnv from the fnv4gb.exe it still needs more memory any suggestions?
  24. As a fan of the 1995 film Judge Dredd and its world, I came up with a simple mod idea to implement something from it into the fantastic world of Fallout New Vegas. In the movie, when a Judge or a head of state was decommissioned after his/her long law enforcement duty, they had to undertake the "Long Walk". This meant having to step out from the walls of Mega-City (the futuristic fiction metropolis of 40 million people where the Judge lore takes place) into the harsh wasteland surrounding it. The individual about to undertake this final act (which often meant a quick doom to the perils of the wasteland) would only be given a dark robe (similar to Bright's Followers black robe, perhaps could have better DT), a shotgun with few ammunition (in the film it looks fairly futuristic, mostly made out of metal and semi-automatic. If custom model can't be made, then I guess Riot Shotgun could work. If custom model can be made, the shotgun in the game "Rage" was very similar to give an idea.), and a copy of the "Law" booklet (pre-war book could be used, and just custom named "Law". Black book would work best). My idea was to place somewhere fitting and discreet in the FNV wasteland a corpse/skeleton wearing mentioned robes and listed items for the player to find. As a little "easter egg" would be. A note with some short and intriguing mentions to the film's world could be also left on the body for the player to read ( Example: "Day 27, I have been walking for what seemed like an eternity. The walls of Mega-City are far behind me now, the sand is growing heavy in my boots, I feel so tired...need to rest..." ). I think it is quite lore friendly, as no super-specific details need to be made; and in a wasteland so vast it makes sense to find remains of perhaps once great men/women from far away places.   25. In some areas, my character/landscape is transparent. I can still see the landscape/my character, but whatever is behind it i can see as if the landscape/character is transparent. It happens mainly with textures such as dust, water, and sometimes certain indoors areas such as a room. Any idea why this is happening? I have Rudy's ENB installed, FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting, FNV Project Reality mk1, Interior Lighting Overhaul, Centered 3rd person camera and some armor and weapon mods installed. I also have type 3 body mods installed. HELP?
