I've just recently downloaded Nifskope and every time I attempt to edit Oblivion face meshes the image that shows up is a white untextured face that says "Install Blockhead". I've also encountered this issue when viewing meshes in the construction set but this problem doesn't seem to show up in-game. The character's OCO2 textures look how they're supposed to when I launch the game, they only seem to glitch when using editors. I've installed OCO2 via Wyre Bash like the mod author recommends and the OBSE folder is installed where it's supposed to be. I've searched online and there doesn't seem to be anyone else who's had this problem so I'd appreciate some guidance on what exactly I'm doing wrong.

I've finally started my project of fixing Better Cities' faces, but I'm having a problem that will greatly slow down my progress if I can't solve it: I want to tweak the faces based on OCO2 style, but many of the faces use the wrong (vanilla) texture in the editor, and thus don't match what appears in-game. Those NPCs don't update color changes in the preview either. Shape changes do correctly update the preview, but only for those changes and not for color. I don't get why some faces do use the correct textures (and update the preview) in the editor but others do not. I need to know if there's any way of making the editor use the appropriate texture and update correctly in every case, so I don't have to do trial-and-error opening the game to check for every single tweak I make. The NPCs with this issue are apparently only from Better Cities, no vanilla NPC has given me this trouble. I'm also using CSExtender, in case that info is relevant. Here's some examples of what I see in the editor:

I am seriously lost and have no idea how to install or work OCO2. I have been trying for hours and have gotten nowhere. I really, really need help. I have uninstalled everything Oblivion related on my computer and am currently (30th March 2014; at 21:48 UTC+00:00) reinstalling it via steam. I had tried using Oblivion Mod Manager and Nexus Mod Manager separately and together, dowloaded files through NMM and manual downloads, and have had my resolve worn down to the ground. What I would like is a step by step walkthrough or simply just clear instructions on what I should do to get obse, blockhead and oco2 working together. I have absolutely no experience with modding so please talk to me as you would a five year old child. I realise this may be a big ask but I am extreemly desprate and need a hand. I just want to play without potato heads... If you don't want to waste time writing out a big guide just for me I implore you to respond in some helpful way. Pretty, pretty please with cherries on top!
