  1. Hello! I love being able to do ship layouts. Three things that I would love are: 1. Something on Monitors. There is a TV like monitor, and a small desktop monitor. Just having something displayed on them, like ship stats would be sweet. 2. Animated Mannequins. An idle pose for mannequins so they look like guards. 3. SHUT THE F*** UP BRIG COMPUTER. Every time I walk by they stupid brig computer opens. I think I have misophonia, every time I walk by I want to punch something. Best of luck, thank you for all the great mods
  2. Now, I don't have the slightest clue if this is even remotely feasible. Assuming its possible, I think it would be nice to have additional weapon assignment slots for ships. I want to build a gunship where I can have weapons of each "damage type" that is player controlled so I can target enemy ships and have the ability to use suitable damage types to take down enemy ships; but I absolutely love having an automated defense system in the way of turrets to protect my blind spots when in ship battles. Even if there is a way to rework the turret script to not take up a weapon assignment slot and just have it passively active, I'd be totally okay with that too.
  3. Currently, there is a bug in the game that causes Vasco to get stuck in your ship hall ways, or spawn outside on top of your ship. Especially a problem with larger, multi-leveled ship interiors. I did a few tests and it seems like the source of this problem is that other than the Constellation Frontier (the starting ship in the main story), the ship interior spawn markers for Vasco in every other ship is bugged and is never used. When you land on a planet, Vasco is set to spawn in front of the landing bay, in front of the stairs or the ramp. When you are in your ship, Vasco is supposed to spawn besides the landing bay hatch or door inside the ship. But this is currently bugged, and the exterior spawn point coordinates carries over and glitches Vasco upwards through the ship in the same horizontal coordinates he was supposed to be on the ground. Only ship that has a correct interior spawn for Vasco is the Frontier. Only way to prevent Vasco from blocking critical paths (to the cockpit for example) is moving the landing bay on your ship to a place where the ground spawn location does not cross upwards into any important HABs, which can often mess with your whole ship design. Any help regarding fixing this will be much appreciated. Bethesda needs to fix this.
  4. Hello Is it possible to Mod the Crew of the ship. Can you change armor or stats for certain crew? I can not find any answer to this question. Thank you guys for any response provided.
  5. Instead of switching turrets off by manually removing their power in order to board a ship (and not destroy it) one could use the key/button that would otherwise fire the turret (if it wasnt a turret) to toggle the turrets on and of (maybe by doing the enegy thing)
  6. When you land at an location you already visited (for example Cydonia) the game puts you in front of the city and outside the ship. Would be nice if you could at least chose if you want that. I kinda like it to leave the ship on my own beacuse of immersion. But I know that not everyone would like that.

I'm looking for a mod that will either: 1. spawn all companions/crew in the vicinity (within 2 habs away) of the player when entering the ship and when getting up from pilot seat, or 2. an ability to "call" all companions/crew to gather to your current position in the ship, or 3. a marker above all crew that you could see through walls indicating where each crew is hiding I have a very large modded ship and it seems like my companions like to play hide and seek on me! It's frustrating running around the ship trying to find them... If someone could make this mod it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  8. I do not know if someone else has suggested it, but as you may gather from the title, I would like to see the ability to build BIGGER ships in Starfield. Allow me to explain. As soon as the game got out, people immediately started to recreate well-known spaceships across all the various medias. Posts everywhere practically exploded with people showing off "their" version of the 'Millennium Falcon', or the 'Normandy', or even the 'Batwing'. I too was also eager to see what I could create in the game. But, as one would expect, there were limits and building you favorite capital/carrier ships would not happen. I understand why limitations were made, as you have to be able to land your ship in a port and huge starships would just be to cumbersome to work around into the normal play of the game. But that has never stopped Modders before. So this is what I propose: A mod that gives you the option to create a "Capital Ship Class", or a ship that is larger that what can be currently made in Starfield, one where you can build a ship that could be 3x-4x bigger than normal. The obvious problem that comes to mind with this is you can't land it at any port or planet without problems occurring. So then what if this "Capital ship" doesn't land, and instead can only be used in "space", above the planets. And in order to get down to a planet or station you take a "shuttle", which could be any of the vanilla ships in game. I'm thinking just adding another button prompt to go back and forth from planet to ship. Ideally in this fantasy of mine, I would like the Capital Ship to be able to be piloted and fight, which means talking about Mass, engines, reactors, etc. A Capital Ship will likely need "upgraded" reactors, shields, thrusters, and engines; engines and thrusters in particular because of all the mass coming into play. I imagine adding new items that are the same as the vanilla models, but reskinned with updated stats to accommodate the needs of a Capital Ship. --- So that's my idea. I want to feel like I am a Captain piloting a large ship with multiple decks that acts like a mobile home base, hired full of crewmembers from various planets, and together explore the galaxy while daring your enemies to take you on in your ship. I do not think this will be easy, I do not think this will be a small mod, and I am sure as heck don't think I have all the solutions, but that's why this community exists. Give your ideas if you're not scared. Lets have a discussion. :smile:

  10. Having to take my hand off the mouse to hurriedly shift energy to different weapons or systems in the even of unexpected combat is the worst thing. It's the future. Preset configurations that you can swap to with a hotkey on the number bar would be very nice. Maybe 3-4 slots along the number keys to save serious time.
  11. Ahoy nexus magicians, I am down on my knees begging you for this! The problem: As I am sure people have noticed, when you fly to a city like New Atlantis, and open the scanner to land while in orbit, you have to open the star map to land the ship because there is multiple fast travel points in the city, instead of just pressing "R" to land like in other places where there is only one fast travel point. For both options, when you land, you just get a loading screen and spawn outside of your spaceship ( if you have a large/long ship then more times then often you are stuck under the ship, hooray!) This really bugs me out as I hate fast travel and always have enjoyed BGS games slowly, and really want that "lived in feeling" for starfield too. So here is my request: The solution: A mod that removes all other fast travel points so you don't have to go to the star map every time you want to land the ship. AND the most important thing: Activates the landing animation EVERY TIME you land, and spawns you inside the cockpit of your ship, and not outside. - just like when you land on a bare planet or moon. To me, this is how it should have been in the vanilla game, I can't be the only one bothered by this, and I hope it can be fixed without creation kit. Thank you all for working your magic on BGS games, in general, and in advance for this one!
  12. I love the ship building component of Starfield alongside the ability to hire a crew to increase your stats and skills. My 1 issue with this is that it DESTROYS immersion. I hire a doctor for my infirmary module... where do I find her? In the engineering room messing around with one of the benches. General idea for the mod: Auto assign companions to be in their designated modules based on their traits. Medical traits > infirmary Gunner traits > control room/armory etc etc. Lmk if you have any questions or help building this mod (I know some things, just not super skilled).

I was sad to find I have the bug with the Mantis quest, where the lever that is supposed to send the ship up to the surface and finish the quest, does nothing but make me unable to step onto the landing platform. This thread is the closest thing to a fix my google-fu has produced, but alas, it did not work for me (the ship elevator never moved, and the ship itself never appeared above ground). I wanted to request a mod that simply unlocks the ship rewarded at the end of the quest. Feels real bad to go out of my way to complete a quest, only for it to bug out and not give you the reward... :C
  14. Whether in orbit or deep space between systems, I think it would be cool to have the ability to actually live in space on the ship. This could work with designated parking points like invisible stations, so a spoof of a docking procedure could be a parking procedure or automated orbit procedure. Then you can do stuff in engineering and research, prep weapons, use the infirmary and such, get quality time with your crew, even just have a dream home in space. Han Solo didn't need to rent a room or even land for months on end... why should we have to?

  18. I was wondering if there was a way to edit a vendor's inventory? What I'm envisioning is editing the ships and their loadouts so that I can buy custom ships from the vendor. Might be a way to share ship builds with some of my friends that I've made/found and bypass needing to use a different save and losing progress. Thanks
  19. I was thinking of being able to use the outpost builder but for just placing items inside of the ship. So that the player could costumize and personalize it.

  21. Starfield in my opinion should have included a favourites menu for power bar distribution. I'm too slow during fights to distribute reactor power from system to system. I think a mod that stores a few favourite presets that can be hotkeyed to the numbers like the weapons can on ground fights. For example I'm using a preset which has my engines at full power in exchange for my shield being powered and an enemy ship approaches. I can press 2 to switch to another preset where the shield is fully powered and distributed across weapon systems.
  22. as title says, i imagine this would be a tall order maybe even for a bethesda modding vet untill the creation kit comes out but putting the request up here since there is none yet personally i absolutely frikkin hate how they've done space ship movement in regards to directional thrusting and roll maneuvers. as it is now, roll is on A and D while directional thrust is controlled by holding SPACE and using WASD and that is just one of the most messed up, convoluted and f*#@y wucky ways i could ever think of to control a ship's thrusters... TLDR: best of all ofc would be to have new entries made in the options menu for rebinding on the individual basis.. however i imagine that could only ever be done after creation kit release if even then so second option i can think of and would like is to have hardcoded rebinds maybe at best configurable somehow via some file somewhere in a text editor idunno, but to have it force rebind the keys to, for example what in imo would be best is: Q and E for left and right roll - A and D for left and right thrust - then last but not least CTRL and SPACE for down and up thrust. wee rant: i guarrantee if i could get these controlls that i am used to using in other space flight games into starfield that i would improve massively as a pilot, but as it is i barely ever even use the thrust cause it's just so f*#@ing clumsy for me to use and am frankly not bothered to get used to it and learn it just so i can fly a bit better in one single fekking game :q end of wee rant thanks to anyone who even looks into possibilities of making this a thing, iv'e not even remotely the modding skills to make this a thing :| :q hope ya'll have a good day!
  23. Hey! What I´d really love to see is a mod that saves the cargo for each ship seperatly and stops the automatic cargo transfer when you swap ships. I want to have a huge freighter for ressources, smuggling, trading etc. and I want to use a small "fighter" for personal missions etc. But everytime I swap ships out, the cargo is transferred to the new "home ship", so my smaller ship is overloaded and I cant use the storage at all. Maybe someone knows if something like this is possible and can do it. <3
  24. Ctarl-Ctarl race from outlaw star would be nice and maybe eventually grappler ships so we can duel other ships in melee, just a thought. Update: after seeing how they implimented ships as a series of 4-6 loading screens i've come to the conclusion that ship mods are pointless so disregard the ship part.
