I’m curious about how organized of a framework we might be able to set up for new outfits in Starfield. It would be ideal if outfit types could be sorted by tags and if npcs could pull random outfits when passing through changing locations such as airlocks, home locations, or bathing areas. Likewise, if modded locations add outfit filters tags by default that will make for more immersive worlds. Follower frameworks or outfit managers in the past have managed this for companions via script, but it would be great to just have more immersive npc behavior across the board by default and established categories for newly made outfit mods to filter into. I guess this would also require an injection script to give x number of random from suitable categories to npcs upon first encounter based on faction categories etc. I guess being able to toggle individual outfit distribution per faction might be useful, too. What Crimson Fleet considers formal attire could be different from corporate formal. Not a feature with much apparent use at first, but maybe once there is a mod where CF possesses a luxury space liner it would be useful for them to seamlessly change into punk formalwear while onboard. Imagine the immersion of a world where people don’t wear the exact same outfit every day? For bathing areas, it might be useful by default to include control mechanisms where player can decide between swimsuits only, swimsuits and bodies, or bodies only. I know some player home mod authors already do versions of this. In any case, hope a good outfit sorting system gets set up early on. I look forward to being surprised at how npcs choose to dress. Okay, I guess the pinnacle of random npc outfits would be the ability to compliment an outfit (combination) to increase the chances of that outfit being rolled more often. Some useful default categories for outfits and/or locations [subcategories]: Spacesuit [environment type] [faction(s)] Work [manual and/or mental] [faction(s)] Formal [faction(s)] Home [faction(s)] Casual [faction(s)] Combat [atk and/or def] [faction(s)] Bathing [swimsuits and/or bodies] [faction(s)] Nightwear [pajamas and/or underwear] [faction(s)]

Just a small suggestion...I hope. I run Frostfall and a bathing mod. I find it a bit odd that I can freeze to death in a heated pool while taking a bath or swimming. I wonder if the creators of these mods would be able to tweak their creations to permit me to take a civilized bath in a heated pool without suffering from Hypothermia? Makes life tougher in Hearthfires and Skyfall Estate for starters. Also, since Skyrim, by and large, is not bathing friendly, I wonder how tough it'd be for modders to tweak their housing creations to permit bathing facilities that are large enough to accommodate the amount of water required to satisfy the demands of the bath mod. Or, failing that, I'd like to see a tweak done with the bathing mod so that I can take a shower or jump in a hot tub without the need for that tub to be Olympic sized. It's amazing how tough it is to stay clean in Skyrim. 'Course that was true in real time Medieval Europe as well. Not as much so in Japan, however. Interesting. OTOH, I could just be really immersive and go grubby, thus dispensing with the bathing mod. I really like the idea of ridding oneself of dirt and the accompanying vermin though. It's a tough world.

Hi, I'm Jessica, and this is my first post here, as well as my first attempt at mod creation for Skyrim. Introduction over, so I'll get straight to it. First, I do know that the Drink, Eat, Sleep, Bathe mod exists. I'll get that out of the way now. The thing is, I've tried a lot of needs mods, and I now use iNeed. I love it and would rather not switch to a new one. I would just like the add the getting dirty/needing to bathe part. I also love how it decreases speechcraft if you are dirty. So I want to try my hand at creating a mod just for the getting dirty/bathing need, that works with Skyrim and the DLC. (I have the legendary edition) But I was hoping that someone could give me a few tips on how to manage this? Or direct me to a tutorial/video that would help. Or is this too big of a goal for a first try? Should I try something smaller first? Or just give up and wait for someone else to do it? Would it be simpler to edit the previously mentioned mod to my liking (for personal use only, of course.)? Also, if I create my own, as opposed to editing the other mod, I don't plan to copy anything from the DESB mod, but I doubt this would be a mod I'd make public anyway. So, anybody care to help, or point me to some help? :D Thanks so so much in advance.

Hi (New to modding, fyi) I can't find any MODs that deal with just bathing. I found some fantastic immersion MODs that have it included (such as ZF Primary Needs and Drink Eat Sleep Bathe) but I have Realistic Needs and Diseases and I don't want to replace it. So, can anyone put together a MOD for literally just bathing in any water, and maybe with soaps or cloths included? Compatible with or including a nude mod? I'd do it myself but I'm technologically useless, so I hope maybe there's a gap for that! Thanks BB

I play with TheRealRyanB's "Drink, Eat, Sleep, Bathe" mod on all my characters, and I really like the immersion it provides. However, there is one major inconvenience: bathing areas in player homes. I've found plenty of custom player homes with bathing areas, and I've found mods to add bathing areas to pre-existing player homes (Breezehome, Honeyside, Hjerim, Vlindrel Hall, and Proudspire Manor), but there don't seem to be any mods to add a bath area to any of the Hearthfire homes: Lakeview Manor, Windstead Manor, or Heljarchen Hall. I'm not asking for anything super fancy. A stone pool with water in it, either inside (perhaps in the cellar?) or even outside (on the ground or maybe on one of the rooftop areas, such as the roof of the bedroom wing) is all I want. Failing that ... maybe someone could make VERY SIMPLE bath addition mods for the pre-existing player homes? There are existing mods that add baths to those homes, as I said earlier, but they all tend to be really over-the-top, adding all sorts of other things in addition to the bathing area. Like I said, just a stone tub full of water someplace would be awesome. If anyone is able to do this, I would be extremely grateful. You could even ask TheRealRyanB if he'd link to it from his mod, and if he does, I'm sure you'd get lots of people subscribing. Thanks. I look forward to any and all replies. I know bathing mods have been suggested a couple of times on these forums, but no one seems to have taken it up, and all the requests I found seem like they may be a little more complex. I have no idea how difficult it would be to do, but I'd love to see a cleanliness mod that just uses the in-game dirt textures. Over time, maybe being updated each time you sleep (like Gopher's Pumping Iron; a certain counter goes up as you do things, and when you sleep that counter updates your character's physical appearance appropriately), cleanliness/hygiene decreases. Go for a swim, or maybe stand in a body of water and use a rag or bar of soap or some similar item, and the dirt textures are removed. In terms of consequences, I was thinking simple buffs/debuffs: increased or decreased resistance to disease, maybe speechcraft. Nothing fancy, unless some modder out there is feeling ambitious. Anyone interested?

So after a long day's trek across Monarch getting covered in sulfur and animal guts, or worse, raiding some pig factory or even just walking around on The Groundbreaker, my character really wants a nice hit shower at the end of the day. Especially when npcs in the game are complaining about your odour. So a mod that adds some sort of shower mist visual effect when you activate the taps would be great. Or even just when the bathroom door is closed.
