  1. So I play with a controller most of the time. I also use gyro it's a perfect balance between M+K and the finer things of a controller. Then games like cyberpunk 2077 use the right joystick to move while in the menu and gyro outputs as right joystick. Is there a mod that can be made to disable that only while in the menu? It's extremely frustrating especially when trying to read something and the cursor is constantly moving off the item!
  2. Summary in bullet points: F4 update Steam,| Mods updated, | Controls in the main menu lost - Controls as far as available, up to the pop-up window with the question: Continue starting? (Due to changed mods) Hello dear community. I have been using Nexusmods for years and have always been able to cope with any mod installation, strange instructions and have also been able to correct minor and major errors. Now I have actually reached my limits and my patience has run out. (And this is my first time, I ask you for help) Every now and then I start F4, ES5 or other games. Today was a mammoth task to complete. F4 latest patch. Before the F4 update I was able to successfully start and play F4 in offline mode. Then I started the Steam update, which involved countless updates to my mods. Mods and game are now fine, BUT... A new game can be successfully made to run. An old save game needs my confirmation (an ESP file was replaced with an ESM, so the old file is of course no longer there.) SKSE, user interface and other mods are up to date. Vanilla F4 - New Game - works perfectly Modded F4 - New Game - works perfectly Vanilla F4 - started old save - problem Modded F4 - started old save - same problem. Modded F4 - New Game - Save / load - works fine Modded F4 - New Game - Save - Change any Mod - my problem has arisen As I have read in other forums, there seems to be a script with a message in the background that prevents me from confirming this "YES" or "OK" button with the mouse / keyboard. The author's suggestion was: Let the game run for 1-2 minutes, at some point you will have control. (I made 2 rolls in the oven and ate them afterwards, ... gave it 10-20 minutes) I also connected a controller as a test and changed the INI accordingly. Fallout4Prefs.ini (bGamepadEnable=0 ;pad off | bGamepadEnable=1 ;pad on) In summary. I can't press YES or NO on the message that appears via mouse or keyboard or gamepad. The mouse can be moved freely. With the keyboard I can take screenshots and open the debug console and also enter data. Do you have any suggestions for me that I can try? Praise the nuke.
  3. Just some advice, please. I use a controller, and I use "Full Dialogue Interface" for FO4. But I get inconsistent menus. I'll approach a modded companion and get 4 conversational choices - none of which are trade. Yet approach them again and the Talk/Trade/Cancel/Follow menu might pop up. I can't grasp how I can guarantee getting the trade menu to arrive. Is it a distance thing? Or random luck? Thank you.
  4. Hello, Sitting in the chair and playing skyrim with keyboard and mouse all the time can be painful, so Ive been using some spare xbox360 controllers to play from far away and easily. I can do all the vanilla actions of the game with the controllers, however, I cant use the mods that require hotkeys to activate (eg Pagedown,V,X,Num6,Num3) etc. Ive noticed that the left throttle of the controller is empty, I would like to get those keys (pgdown,V etc) mapped into there. But i dont know how to, Ive tried looking for something that would do it for me but all i found on the Nexus was mods that would remap favourites,spells etc vanilla actions into the controller, Ive seen some mods that come with txt files for remap but i simply dont know how to edit those txt files into mapping as i said, pgdown, numpad (buttonwhich are used by my mods) into the controller so, ill really appreciate if someone can help me into this remapping buisness, thanks :smile: (sorry for bad English)
  5. I want to play this game with my Steam Controller. And that's fully possible the way things are right now. But the issue I'm having is the fact that I cannot use both xinput and m/kb inputs at the same time. It might seem like a small issue, but I would greatly appreciate if someone made a mod enabling this to work ^^ As a side note, if anyone were to make a Steam Controller glyphs mod (the in-game key prompts being steam controller ones), I would appreciate that as well. Thanks a lot!
  6. Hello, I hope someone can help me here, i've been Googling for a soloution for hours now and i can't seem to find anything on this.. I have no issue running the game, it's just that when i connect the controller and a few minuts later it drops down to 7 fps ( It gets back to normal when i unplugg it)... like what the hell? Tried two different PS4 controllers, same issue. Tried DS4 Windows, tried steam controller overlay, same problem... Coming from console gaming makes it pretty much hard for me to play on a keyboard and mouse, I just don't feel it... :sad:
  7. Forgive my stupidity, I just loaded up Witcher 3 and got it working fine on my PC. I prefer using the Windows Xbox controller with my games. Several mods happily offer controller settings and suggest keyboard actions, but I can't operate both controller and keyboard. In my Skyrim game I had a little mod that allowed me to use the keyboard (hot keys etc) along with the controller. Is there a setting that allows me to use keyboard shortcuts along with a controller? Am I missing something for Witcher 3? Thanks!
  8. Hello Nexus and fellow forums users! I am in dire need of help and would like to know if anyone can point me in the direction of a mod or config that disables the waiting feature or removes it completely as I need the extra key for a mod and since I don't use the wait feature anyways I felt it would be smart to just disable that feature and use the bind for that. Any and all help is very much appropriated! But before you try to "help" please understand that... I tried google already(hence why I'm posting on forums now)No I cannot "just not press it or just choose not to use it" as I need the feature disabled to use the button for a modI'm using a controller so sadly rebinding with the keyboard does not helpBuying a better/different controller is not an optionI will not "" again i'm using a controller >.>Constantly taking damage is not a good work around for meBinding it to another button is not an option as i'll still need a button for the mod.Again thank you guys for any and all your help!Also, if anyone is curious the mod is called "Lock-On - lock on mechanism by himika"

Hello Nexus community, I guarentee I am not the first to notice this issue, but Skyrim disables use of both mouse and keyboard when a controller is plugged in, assuming we all use the xbox controller. The steam controller is not an Xbox controller, and the mouse joypad settings, and the joypad settings for the right track pad are a bit blocky in movement. However, like in multiple games I have now played with the steam controller, the mouse setting is marvelous for the right pad but does not work in skyrim due to teh previously mentioned disable. I am requesting a mod that will enable or fix this by allowing both controller and keyboard/mouse use at the same time. this would allow full use of the steam controller in skyrim for everyone.

Just recently I had a problem with fallout 3 crashing 1-2 minutes after loading my save file.I am using NMM (nexus mod manager) and the fose and CASM mods and have the latest version of the unofficial patch and I didn't have any problems for long while, all of a sudden the game crashed on me saying windows experienced a problem while running the game I tried running the game through the manager using fose and loaded up my save only to have it crash again after 1-2 minutes. I eventually found out after trying a couple things that it was the vibration setting in the control menu that I had turned on (without realizing it) that was the problem. After turning the vibration setting off and restarting the game (it said I had to close the game and running it again to save the change) I loaded my save and lo and behold no more crashing.So for anyone having problems with constant crashing when loading saves and using a controller try turning off the vibration setting if it's on and closing and running it again like I did.I thought I'd share this method as I do not realize the vibration setting can crash the game (this might happen with Fallout: New Vegas as well but I haven't tried it) PS: if your wondering how I could have changed the vibration setting without knowing it's because I have go into the control menu and disable the controller and then go back into the game to be able to use the console (the keyboard and mouse don't work when the controller is enabled) if anyone knows a fix for this please post, I'm sure I won't be the only one whos grateful for it(again it's probably the same in Fallout:New Vegas but I haven't tried it.)
  11. This issue only seems to happen with a gamepad. When I turn the camera in any direction and then rotate the analog stick, the camera seems to have all of this built up momentum and swings around to try and face the direction I turned the stick, which makes the game feel like I am fighting the controls to aim. The momenum completely stops if I return the analog stick to the resting position (center) Can anyone tell me which .ini setting I can tweak to disable this (or other solutions) Edit (SOLVED) In SkyrimPrefs.ini (in both locations,) I added the line "bGamepadAcceleration=0" under [Controls] and it has been completely fixed. I highly recommend that all gamepad users do this because it makes aiming so much easier.   13. I hate to say it, but I'm at a loss. When I launch fallout through Steam, it runs smoothly, except that it thinks nothing exists, not the dlc, none of my mods, nothing. When I run fallout through mod organizer, the controller doesn't work, constantly skipping down as if I'd tapped twice for every single action, and it doesn't recognize that the keyboard is a thing that actually exists. This is the first time I've picked up fallout 4 in almost a year, and I wanted a fresh start, since simply trying to load an old save had the frame rate of a thrown potato. I reinstalled the game, cleaned the files with FO4Edit, made sure my drivers were all up to date, and started with a very light load order, which I will list below. I'm using a wireless xbox one controller as my gamepad, if that helps. TL;DR: My game is in a Schrodinger's Cat state of f***ed up and I don't know what I did wrong. HALP!!1 UPDATE#1: In an attempt to fix this issue on my own, I've encountered a new problem. Trying to reinstall the same mods the old-fashioned way with Nexus Mod Manager has failed. It has, multiple times, failed to connect to the nexus server, which shouldn't matter, and it either can't or won't add mods manually, including, annoyingly, the data for F4SE. So I'm back to square one, as it were. Please help me, I don't know what I'm doing. UPDATE #2: After further testing, switching from Mod Organizer 2 back to Nexus Mod Manager and installing F4SE by simply copying the files from the data folder straight into fallout 4's data folder, the controller problem persisted, and when launching the game using the vanilla launcher, the controller worked properly again, therefore I must conclude that the issue with the controller functionality must have something to do with the script extender, or how I installed it. Which is inconvenient, because I do not have a mouse and keyboard suitable for gaming with, and I had planned on installing a few mods which require the script extender. if possible I would still appreciate help with the various problems I'm having.   14. So, Steam lets you remap the buttons of a controller, and I remapped my Xbox360 (PC) controller to more closely match those of the previous games. I'm looking for a way to change the button prompts in game, to match my controller remap. The game is running on UE3, as far as I understand. Now, with some knowledge of how these things work, but without any real modding knowledge, how would I go about doing this? And I really really want to do this. ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated, as dead as this 'Arkham Knight forum' seems to be! TBH, I should probably look for some UE3 modding guides, but I wanted to start here, and see if anyone can help me :smile: However seeing how few mods there are for this game compared to to the previous ones, I'm not holding my breath. The previous ones mostly had only skin mods too, as do this one. I wonder why that is? This would also technically be a reskin. I really hope it's possible. REpeating myself here, ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated! I'll do the work myself if someone could just show me the right direction. :smile:
  15. Okay so I actually have two requests for mods specifically tailored to work with the Split Screen mod. I've been able to use Split Screen along with a program called WinSplit Revolution to achieve a really solid split screen configuration. There are just a few annoying issues which I would like to fix but I don't know how. Firstly, because the menus seem to rely on the mouse cursor to function, we run into an issue where we cannot both use our inventory/menus at the same time since the mouse cursor is basically being split between the two instances of the game. What I need is a mod that can disable the mouse completely in the game and use only controller inputs to navigate menus. The second issue I have is that since I have two 1920x1080 windows forced to take up half the screen, the aspect ratio is naturally going to be halved on the x axis. What this causes is any movement on the x axis (side to side) on the screen feels MUCH slower than movement on the y axis (up and down). I know that it's not actually slower, but it feels significantly slower and really odd when you go 90 degrees and suddenly you're hauling ass up or down the screen. So what I need is a mod that will only increase the player's walk speed on the x axis by something like 1.5 - 2 times speed so that the x speed will match the y speed in the stretched configuration. I think the speed fix should be relatively easy. I don't know how to solve the issue with the shared mouse cursor though. I'd appreciate any help with this.

Hello to everione i just purchased Skyrim SE and i wanted to play with my Xbox 360 Wired Controller, but the sensitivity is crazy on the game, and i noted this on the SkyrimPrefs,ini The Mouse sensitivity stays the same always but everytime i change my sensitivity in game using the controller and the GAMEPAD sensitivity goes back to fGamepadHeadingSensitivity=0.5001 i cant lower that This are the default sensitivities on the .ini files fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0125fGamepadHeadingSensitivity=0.5001 i tried everything Disabling the mouse acceleration Disabling V Sync use comands like fGamepadHeadingYScale=0.0200fGamepadHeadingXScale=0.0200 or fGamepadLookMaxRotationSpring=20.0000fGamepadLookMultExponent=0.0000fGamepadLookAccelPitchMult=1.0000fGamepadLookAccelYawMult=1.0000fGamepadLookAccelSec=1.0000 is there any fix for the bad sensituvity witha controller on S SE ??   17. Hi, So I want to set my XBOX button to be my screen shot button shortcut. I can't find a good way of doing this and a way to it to be on my controller and not in to my keyboard. I don't want to use the XBOX windows software screen-capture function into this, cause it does this weird flash thing on the screen which messes the picture to be kinda dark. The steam screen capture function would be better in this in my opinion but I don't know how to set it to be on my controller.. I know where to change it but it dose not respond to my controller. SO help would be valued??? And yes I use XBOX controller on the PC and I specially wanna play Fallout 4 modded in doing this. Controller is in my opinion better when playing Fallout
  18. hello! I'm fairly new to nexus so please forgive if this request seems weird but I was wondering if I could request a very small mod? I used to play skyrim on my Xbox for 4 years before finally getting PC version (on sale thank Auri-el) ...but I have a problem I customized my controller on Xbox so it was best for me 4 years ago but I cannot replicate it on my PC skyrim my controllers a tad odd for PC but I do hope I can explane this well enough to make this request a reality my PC controller is a Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 so its layout is more like a PS1 controller with Xbox buttons d-pad above analog sticks at the bottom and the rest is normal on gamepad http://gaming.logite...epad-images.png my current configuration is this d-pad controls arent changed up=up/down=down/right=right/left=left the left analog= when moved pulls up the favorites menu (and thats great!) clicking that left analog button toggles 3rd and 1st person view (I don't switch modes much so its better this way) back=wait (normal funtions perfectly fine) start= big stat filled menu with savefiles and stuff (no change needed) vibration (self expanitory and fine) mode = changes whether analog is used for movement or d-pad (perfectly normal) the right analog=camera (no issue there) right analog button= sneakmode (I need sneakmode so this was a perfect move for me) LB= sprint (no change from Xbox version) LT= left arm attack (no change) RB=shout (no change) RT=right arm attack (no change) now comes the real issue area A=talk/activate (no change perfectly normal) X=sheath (no change perfectly fine) Y=jump (big problem and I hate this the Y button is way to unnatural to use so I changed the Xbox version to menu) B=menu/cancel (I have no issue with the cancel funtion but MENU? I changed this in Xbox to Jump as it was more natural to me) I know this MAY seem crazy /simple/stupid but if at all possible if I may request a script that does what I listed above left analog button=1st-3rd view toggle right analog button=sneakmode B= JUMP/cancel Y= Menu the rest doesent really change...I know this sounds dumb but when I tried to change it myself using other scripts it messed up so many other options and added way to many new ones...and from the ingame customization it DID change B to jump and Y to menu...but it also made Y the cancel button...which screwed me over and broke immersion way to many times so if at all possible I ask the modding community to grant my tiny request for a mod perhaps even a .txt based template so that people can easily configure there own gamepads for Skyrim (emphasis on the ability to choose the activate/cancel buttons) if I personally am needed for anything pertaining to this request PLEASE do NOT HESITATE TO PM ME! I check emails frequently and always reply

I thought about a Mod that let the weapon switch do faster, for example when you press the cross to the left or right to choose weapon it actually switches instantly without extra pressing A, like half life 2 fast switch style for example. In Combat it sucks really when you have to quick draw and you know how its sometimes. Maybe on Keyboard its the same issue i dont know. Cheerz
  20. So, I saw this video early last week and, being a big fan of Dark Souls myself, I thought I would reinstall Skyrim to give just about everything in it a go. That means I've got all of the armors shown off installed, as well as most of the UI mods. I also have TK Dodge and Immersive animations installed. So, to get to the point, I have two major problems right now. I started up in The Chill just outside of Winterhold using Skyrim Unbound and as I was setting up controls I ran into my first problem, that being I can't unbind any controls through the pause menu, leading to me having to set my hotkey for Unlocked Grip to the same button as sneak. I did some research on Google and around here, but no solutions. I tried messing with my controls.txt as this post suggested, but it hasn't done anything yet. I tried changing the file to an .ini and renaming the folder in a couple different ways, thinking the OP had mistyped, but no luck there either. So, after finding a setup I was comfortable with for the time being, I started on my way to Winterhold. There were a few CTDs on the way there which is to be expected for a fresh install with some heavy mods, but I started having a problem that I've never come across before. As I'm walking up to Winterhold proper, probably as all the assets are loading up for that area, my game starts stuttering pretty heavily then completely locks up with all the ambience and footstep sounds still playing. I tried waiting for a few minutes to see if it would fix itself but I don't think that was helping either. After doing my usual troubleshooting and it still wasn't working, I turned to Google to see what kind of problems I may be running into. At first I thought it may have been running out of VRAM, but after trying to disable a couple graphics intensive mods I figured that wasn't it. I have Enhanced Towns and Villages active as well as JK's Skyrim, which I thought might be conflicting causing the freezing but that didn't seem to do anything. So, sensing a pattern, I rolled back to an earlier save and started traveling along the coast to Dawnstar, trying to test if it was just Winterhold causing me to freeze or if it was just going inland into Skyim. So I travel along aways, and after getting right around here, the freezing starts happening again, leading me to think that this problem just starts happening whenever I go inland. So at this point I've got two options, either figure out a fix for this or hunker down and become an abominable snowman for the rest of my days. I'm playing on Legendary edition (obviously), latest version of SKSE, using NMM, and LOOT. The only files that aren't cleaned with TES5Edit are the DLCs.   21. I am aware of Vorpx and will definitely buy it as soon as my vive arrives. It looks great, and is worth the money, for me anyway, because it's currently the only solution for vr skyrim, as far as I'm aware. BUT, even though it has a preset which maps buttons to the vive motion controllers, it doesn't take advantage of motion input. Is anybody up to making a mod for this? There's a mod which does exactly what I'm looking for with Minecraft, called vivecraft. "Skyvive" would be an instant download for any vr gamer.

I have a general idea of how media location controllers function and I've put many to use in reworking the atmosphere of the game, but one thing that continues to escape me is how the Enemy, Neutral, Friend, and Allied faction sets work. I've tried setting the PlayerFaction to an enemy and ally of the faction picked out on the controller, but that doesn't seem to change anything - it still defaults to the Location set. Does this function off of reputation, am I using the wrong faction, or what? If this functions off of reputation, how would I go about setting the player to use specific sets (mostly with regards to exact reputation values) depending on circumstance?

The only things it could add are "Quicksave", "Quickload", and "Screenshot". Useless because it's easy to access it in the start menu.. Thank you !
  24. This game gets very high praise, however for me what really holds it back is the clunky movement. I honestly believe it's some of the worst I've ever experienced in a AAA game. I'd really appreciate a change of some sort to default movement from the wonky jog to a walk, while keeping the sprint as hold A. A secondary request would be just to allow for Toggle Run/Walk to be bound to controller, because the keyboard already has that function with CTRL, but using the controller after that cancels it out.   25. Hey everyone, I was wondering if there's a way to map the sprint action to a button other than L3. I'm using a cheap gamepad that heavily resembles a PS2 controller with x360ce and the dinput blocker because I hate the whole "Button 5," "Button 7" thing. I ask because pressing the L3 button repeatedly breaks the left stick after a while and makes it unbearably jerky, which effectively renders the controller unusable (mind you, this has nothing to do with the quality of the controller -- I find that the quality only really affects how long it takes for it to break, since the same thing eventually happened when I tried both the wireless 360 and Dualshock 4 controllers). I can't afford to buy a new controller every 2 weeks or so no matter how cheap, and I'm not a keyboard & mouse guy. lol Please tell me there is a way...
