  1. Okay, so we know Fallout 76 has some updated engine features and is an online only game. That means, more than likely, no porting Fallout 4 into it like with Tale of Two Wastelands. However, it appears that they are likely using the same file formats since we see recycled meshes, textures, and animations from Fallout 4. With that in mind, would it potentially be possible to copy your Fallout 76 master file into the Fallout 4 Data folder to get access to it's new items and creatures in the CK? Even if we can't get the map, due to the new terrain system, we may be able to introduce some of the features into Fallout 4, and be legal about it since you'd need a copy of Fallout 76 to use the .esps.
  2. I have noticed that I have Hearthfires.esm, but I never bought the Hearthfire DLC and Steam doesn't say I have it. Where could it have come from?
  3. So I loaded Falskaar in and was immediately reminded it has yellow leaves for the vast majority of its tree LODs. This clashes with the green-leaved trees I have that moved in from Skyrim. I had this issue in the Rift a while back, and all I had to do was load the treelod file into GIMP, change the leaves to green, and viola. Those were loose files, though, and Falskaar uses a .bsa. While I can easily extract, edit, and repack the .bsa with my recolored LOD file, I'm finding something is going wrong. The game loads and runs just fine, but there appears to be a drastically reduced draw distance. Like, I can see the 'horizon' within the area of fully rendered trees and such. Using tfc will reveal the game is only loading a very small portion of Falskaar... just because I recolored tree LODs and repacked the .bsa? O.o So... what am I missing? Or is there a way to make Falskaar use loose files?
  4. Hello everybody, need serious help here. Im not "new" to this, so im starting to get a headache trying to resolve my Data Files load order. Yes FalloutNV crashes and wont start, the data files are not in order "FalloutNv.esm" is under the Dlcs. IM Not running any mod's just DLC'S So through steam game and dlc were bought. I recently re-downloaded the game back to my desktop to play. "Crashes and wont start" So I have NNM & FOMM & FNVEdit and both re-correct the order... however THE RIGHT order isn't applying to my Fallout Launch Data FIles screen.. Thus Game still crashing... Easy fix right??? Please help. ( Need to apply Right order of data files to launch screen.) Thank you.
  5. Hello I recently moved Skyrim to my SSD as I heard it helps with loading times. However, when trying to open NMM, it cannot locate skyrim.esm and fails to open. NMM is installed on my HDD, which is what is causing the problem. Is there a way to keep Skyrim on the SSD and mod it with NMM or will I have to either mod things manually (and keep on the SSD), or move it back onto the HDD (and be able to use NMM) In short, does NMM have to be on the same drive as the game you are trying to mod? Thanks
  6. I seem to be able to save an .esp flagged as an .esm in the GECK. Everything I've read on the internet says the GECK cannot make these the active plugin. When loading I clicked the 'make active plugin', the word 'Master' beside my plugin did not change but I selected ok anyway. When I saved, it saves as my plugin, not asking what I would want to name my new plugin. Is this legit or is it lying to me a bit and I'm screwing my mod? Cheers
  7. Hello. I've been trying to run my Skyrim recently and it kept crashing. So I decided to snoop around my plugins list. Everything seemed to be in order except I'm missing my Heartfire.esm. I downloaded it when I bought the game and it is in my Steam Library; however, it does not appear to be in either my NMM plugin list or my Skyrim launcher plugin list. My plugin list goes: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dragonborn.esm Dawnguard.esm Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp Any help? I also posted screenshots
  8. Hi there, I just want to say before I begin, and you all probably dread this, but I am new to modding Skyrim, and this is actually my first try. I wanted to make this game look amazing with mods and ENBs, so I did attempt that. Basically, I've been downloading these things for about 2 hours now, and I start up my game every 15 mods or so to see if its working or not, but this time it didn't. I enabled the logs and this is the one that I get every time. Now, I just have the default Skyrim, and I believe this could be related to not having Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. I tried using LOOT but it's really difficult for me to figure it out, however this system does confirm that most of these issues are from missing those DLCs. Here's what LOOT tells me about the problematic mods: Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp -this plugling requires dawnguard.esm to be installed, but it is missing. (It says this about the rest of the dlc, so this is unimportant. However, I downloaded some ETaC mods and it tells me that I'm missing certain mods to go with it, I'm unsure if I should try to install them because of all of my already jumbled up Data folder. I don't want to get more confused. I really want to be able to mod Skyrim without giving up but this is really difficult, and I'm debating just deleting my entire Skyrim folder and reinstalling. It would really help if someone gave me some advice, thanks.
  9. Just like the title says. I'm not even 100% sure Update.esm is loaded, but I'm pretty sure. Not only can I not run any mods, the official DLC don't load either. I'm currently running the game with a barebones load order to try and narrow this down, so here's what I've got: 0 0 Skyrim.esm1 1 Update.esm2 2 Dawnguard.esm3 3 HearthFires.esm4 4 Dragonborn.esm5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp6 6 HighResTexturePack01.esp7 7 HighResTexturePack02.esp8 8 HighResTexturePack03.esp9 9 Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp I normally run with Uncle Sheogorath and Alternate Start on, so I can tell right when it starts that they're not loading, but to test for Dawnguard, I started up a new game and used the console to search for Serana and a few other Dawnguard items, but nothing shows up. I can confirm that MFGconsole works correctly, and likely any other SKSE scripts as well. I first began getting this issue after reinstalling Skyrim. I had two hard drives in my computer, but my main drive broke, so I replaced it with a 120gb SSD. This meant that I had to get rid of a bunch of games off of my second hard drive, including Skyrim. Eventually, I installed a third hard drive, where Skyrim is currently installed. I think that's probably all the information needed, but if there's anything else you need to know to help with this issue, please ask. Thank you for your time. EDIT: I might take a bit replying, just realized it's 3:00 AM where I'm at, so I really should get some sleep.
  10. Hello there, Since today's morning I have a problem with launching Skyrim. Once the Bethesda logo appears, the game crashes. I already did a little research to see which mod is causing this crash and unfortunately for me, it is Dawnguard.esm file. Every other mod is fine and working. So when I turn my Dawnguard.esm file off, the game works perfectly well as it always used to, but once I tick it and play with it the game crashes after Bethesda's logo appears. If this would help, I installed Dawnguard about 4 months ago or so and since then I had no trouble with either launching the game or expriencing any in-game bug.   11. I'm working on a mod, but I figured out that the SCK(Skyrim Creation Kit) loads up every .esm that you have in your directory. Now I have trouble opening the CK because two .esm files(Update.esm & Dragonsreach_hideout.esm) share the same file(or something). I get this error: FORMS: Non-parent NAVI form " (00012FB4) exists in both file 'DragonsReach_Hideout.esm' and 'Update.esm' When I click Yes to All I get this error: Assert File C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.ccp Line: 2860 LOCALIZATION: Error opening or reading strings file. I've tried cleaning the files with TESVSnip and TES5Edit, but none of this seemed to work. I'm not planning on using these .esm files for my mod but when I uncheck them they still load up and when I delete them I get the error: "Missing needed .esm file 'DragonsReach_Hideout.esm' (Same with Update.esm) Is there any way to "disconnect" an .esm from the mod(.esp) file?
  12. Hi, I have been creating a patch for Morrowloot4E and Immersive armours, and the patch will add armours from IA around the world as static objects. But, I have come into a bit of a problem. Whenever I load up the creation kit, I load skyrim.esm, the Immersive armours esp, morrowloot.esp, and my own mods esp. I can place objects and items from IA in the creation kit and it works fine, but everytime I load the CK up again to continue working on my mod all of the items I have placed from IA dissapear, but all my other changes are fine. I asked Hothtrooper44 (creator of IA) about this and he said I have to also add IA and morrowloot as masters, I can't just load them up in the creation kit. I looked up how to do this, and tried adding masters with Wrye bash, which seemed to work, and my plugin shows up as having the IA.esp and morrowloot.esp as masters, but as soon as I save it in the CK all my IA items dissapear again. Sorry if I am being unclear ._. But does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help :D
  13. Greetings! This morning, I started Skyrim as usual and ran into a problem. When I try to load one of the saves, I get a message about missing .esm files, and this list includes all plugins except Skyrim.esm / Update.esm. The problem arose out of the blue, I hadn't installed mods for quite a long time, in general I was just playing. It says: "This save game relies on content that is no longer available..." - Already tried checking local files.- With a load order, everything is fine too (used LOOT).- I tried to run both through NMM and simply through SKSE with administrator rights.- In the mod manager, there are check marks on the plugins, as well as in the default launcher.- In the SKSE logs, everything seems to be all right too.- The main paths in NMM to the root folder of Skyrim are also correct. Hardware spec: HexaCore Intel Core i5-9400F, 3900 MHz Asus Prime H310M-K R2.0 16 GB DDR4-2666 GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (6 GB) KINGSTON SA400S37480G (480 GB SSD, SATA-III) I was playin with this load order for a while and everything was fine. I would be grateful for any help! (already tried to fully reinstall game and put my mods on it - same problem) Maybe this is some sort of a "windows defender" problem?
  14. So over the past few days I've been in the process of finalizing my mod build for Skyrim SE, and I've been using Vortex to install the mods. LOOT shows me as technically having 285 active plugins - but when I check Vortex it shows as actually having 218 active, 67 light. I'm new to Skyrim Modding, this is my first attempt at making a real mod build, but aren't the "Light" plugins as shown on Vortex .esl files and not .esp's? If so do am I technically still under the hard plugin limit despite what LOOT says? If not, how can I convert them to .esl's? If you want to take a look at my load order, I can give you a modwatch link.
  15. [EDIT: I just found a solution in another thread on this forum. I had to go to the Plugins tab of Vortex and enable the .esm and .esp files. Then I had to download v1.5 of ApachiiSkyHair to get ApachiiHairFemales.esm. It all seems to be working for me now.] I just did a fresh install of Skyrim with Dawngaurd, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. Before playing, I'm adding some mods with Vortex. It says I'm missing some .esm and .esp files. However, all these files are already in my Skyrim root directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim). I haven't messed with these files at all. How can Vortex find them? Do I need to copy them to another directory?
