  1. I finished modding and made my first Bash Patch. In the spoiler down below is the error message I received when Wrye Bash finished. What does it mean? Saving those two mods in the CK will probably solve the issue, but I would like to know what it means.
  2. solved, should not bash patch insignificant object remover, its the one who causes the infinity loading screen.
  3. I play Skyrim SE with the light mod ELFX and some ELFX patches for the mods I have installed, like JK's City of Skyrim and JK's interiors. I made myself a bashed patch with Wrye Bash and found that in cities or outside of them the light flickers when I move the camera. The light doesn't flicker indoors. When I deactivate the Bashed Patch this doesn't happen. How can this be, I thought a bashed patch was supposed to resolve conflicts, not create them? Can someone help me create a new bashed patch that doesn't have this problem? My load order And yes, I know I have a lot of mods installed, but the game runs great otherwise.
  4. this must me something that is asked hundreds of times buuut i understand how to make a bashed patch thanks to a tutorial but i DONT know what to do with all the mod's ESPs that need to be bashed patched to apparently work. (the ones that add things to the levelled lists in particular) with my lack of understanding of this, i would assume that i should put them in a bashed patch with maybe just any old esp or even skyrim.esm but i dont wanna try anything yet for risk of ruining something. help? please criticize me to yourself very harshly if i tagged this poorly or put it in the wrong section or even if me am stupid. ð
  5. I found this problem when I noticed I couldn't use any service from some merchants (Ungarion among them). I looked up how to set an NPC to make it a vendor and found the problem. The Auto-calc stats setting was enabled, which need to be off for the merchant to work. And it was only the Bashed Patch who made that change. (I tried disabling it again through TES4Edit and I could use the services again) My question is: Why does the Bashed Patch do that and how do I avoid it?
  6. I'm trying to get a couple hairs added to the FCO custom races. I tried just wryebashing it together, as I did last time a few years ago, but didn't get very far in that-- I can only get wryebash to do magic on accident I guess! When I open the data window in the GECK, the only ESM/ESPs that show up are the official game, DLC, and the Bashed patch-- nothing in between, which I'm sure makes sense, but it's been a while since I've messed with New Vegas so I'm just like... how do I select certain mods? Is there no way to? It's no big loss if I can't figure it out but it'd be great if I could just get this one hair to work on the one race I'm going to play. Any help would be amazing.
  7. 1. I just wanted to ask if it's okay to combine animation mods to xEdit Merged and Bashed Patches. 2. After doing xEdit merged and Bash patches, I have to run the individual patchers like DSR, FNIS and etc., right? 3. I'm currently encountering invisible NPCs during my modded playthrough (Friend/Enemy NPC alike), why is that? It doesn't happen during my normal, un-modded playthrough. (Will provide the load order below if it's needed) 4. Is it really best to use LOOT as a load order optimizer or should I go and use BOSS? (I'm reading a lot of articles, forum posts, and even hearing mod authors prefer BOSS as a load order optimizer.) Load Order: Thank you in advance for answering these simple questions.   9. So after more than a year not playing Skyrim, I decided to come back, made a fresh install came to nexus to grab some mods and BAM! everything is different in the mod scene now. I grabbed the essentials (I did have experience using Mod Organizer when it was in the early stages of the project), followed the core setup from S.T.E.P. and decided what mods I wanted to personalize my game how I want it to be. Still, I think my questions are fairly general and could help others too. I'm no noob to modding Skyrim, but some times even the best need help from others. :laugh: Here are my main doubts regarding patches mainly, I did researched through the forums and the web but I can't find a solid answer, even less for my specific situation and would be deeply thank full I some one can help me to grasp a better understanding of what is the best way to sort these problems. Many thanks in advance: 1.- What kind of mods I shouldn't patch with ASIS? ("Automatic Spells, Increased Spawns") 2.- What kind of mods I shouldn't patch with ReProccer? ("Generates an automatic patch for the Skyrim Redone overhaul.") 3.- What kind of mods I shouldn't patch with Dual Sheath Redux? ("Left handed sheathes and more") 4.- What kind of mods I shouldn't patch with Lootification? ("Automatically enchants and distributes mod-added items.") (maybe is the the same answer for 1, 2, 3 and 4?) 5.- Should I use SUM ("A SkyProc mod that automatically generates multiple SkyProc patches. Before you would have to run each patcher one by one while following the tedious Multiple SkyProc Patcher Protocol.") to patch the game with the mentioned above or are there some drawbacks related? 6.- I'm using T3ndr0s Skyrim Redone (a.k.a Skyre) and there are many mods that have compatibility patches for Skyre. Should I include them when patching with ReProccer? 7.-Should I also use the Bashed Patch or there are conflicts when making one if you are already using SkyProc patchers? 8.- At what point in this process of setting up the mods and patching them should I run FNIS? 9.- The patchers show me an error that there are maters missing even though they are installed and active (Side note: this happens a lot with compatibility patches) and read that there are some problems with the USKP and where solve by using the latest version of each patcher and MO 1.3.8, I still have the problem, but I have all the mods up to date and MO 1.3.11: 9.1.- I there a special way in which I have to setup SUM and the other patchers so I can run them through MO? 9.2.- Do I have to disable certain mods or is there something else I'm failing to do before in the setup process? 10.- If and only if is not a bother, could you refer me to a guide or something? But probably I've already been there earlier but it didn't help. Well that would be all, I consider my self not a pro but a veteran when it comes to mod games, but I felt overwhelmed when I returned to Skyrim, sorry for long post and excuse my English, is not my first language.   11. What exactly is the proper way to set up a bashed patch with DSR (or other patcher mods like FNIS or Dyndolod). in your load order. According to the Gamerpoets tutorial, it says to disable them first, but its not clear if you should disable Dual Sheath Redux.esp and Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp or just the Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp. But according to the STEP WIKI page it doesn't say to disable anything... it just says to run the DSR patcher after doing the bashed patch. So which is it? Can someone help me out, thanks. One other question about esp files Mod Organizer marks as dummies. Should those be left disabled when installing a bash patch?
  12. Hi I just need some help figuring out my load order and possibly other things like missing patches, things with wrye bash or tes5edit or whatever. I had LOOT help me sort my plugins, identify mods that needed cleaning and other things. I have no problems with slow scripts and my game runs fairly decent on low settings. My mod list is fairly large, so I think that in itself causes some stability issues. My game still silently crashes every so often in random places where you wouldn't think it would crash. Inside a small, cozy building. During a relaxed conversation with an npc. And seemingly right as i press the esc. button to save my game, which is a bit annoying. Here's my load order: I'm too lazy to type in the actual names of the mods, so sorry if you're having trouble identifying some of them.   13. Hello. I recently wrote a post about WryeBash seemingly being the root of a save corruption. I'm here both to expand on that and to restate the question in a more mannerable and calm fashion. Alas, my previous post is unimportant now. So, essentially, my issues lies with a corrupted savegame. All of my save games are corrupted now, actually. Predictabely, this happened only after trying to create a bashed patch with little to no experience on it. Basically, I watched a video to make a bashed patch which would correct LL, but i suppose it was to no avail. Now, whenever i launch any save, it crashes while loading. Have I done something horribly wrong? I simply clicked 'rebuild patch' in WB over the patch esp, went to LL's, and patched it all. I've since spent 2+ hours of constant tes5edif and LOOT troubleshooting, which is quite a bit of time considering it happened but 5 hours ago and i just woke up after 3 hours of sleep. Any help at all would be superb. I'm in a hole, not quite sure what I've done but if any WryeBash experts out there know what I've done wrong it would be immeasurably appreciated if you could inform me to it. Also, I think I deserve bonus points for writing Wrye and not Wyre, right? ;)
  14. This is likely going to be a severe rant, and for that I sincerely apologize. What you must first know is that it is 5am and i have school in 3 hours, I've been up since 11 figuring this out, I have anger management issues and it clouds my head and makes it hard to think about writing these posts formally (let alone troubleshoot skyrim of all games), and i have no clue what i've done wrong. Basically, i was playing a new save (which i fell in love with by the way) and my little sister was too. we were competing as hunters/archers and whatnot, it was great fun! So, i notice that none of the IA armors or any other armors for that matter were showing up on NPCs, and i'm at a level high enough to see a good share of the armor (known from past experiences). So, i decide to try and solve this issue myself. minimal research on the 'issue' (which i would rather have suffered 1000x over as opposed to what im dealing with rn, in heinsight), i found out about bashed patches. Me being as wise as i am chose to watch a youtube video no longer than 3:30 minutes to figure out how to do this. so, i do it. problem solved? nah. my game is corrupt. CTD when i try to load it at any of my savepoints. Sisters game? also ruined. Maybe worth mentioning that at some point during the bashing i reinstalled immersive armors, not sure if it was during the bashing, before it or after it though (like i said, anger blurs my mind). so ive tried everything since then, ive spent 2 hours trying to restore my game with tes5edit and loot and all these programs to no avail and i just want my game back. I dont even want the stupid patch, i don't care at all anymore, can someone please just help me? how do i reverse this? how do i get all this bashed stuff out of my life? i just want it all like it was man. and please dont comment for the sole purpose of shaming me or laughing at me or insultng me for whining and such. i told you, i have severe, SEVERE anger management issues. it's like an uncontrollable rush of desperate cries for help after a firestorm of rage. but thats another story for another day i guess. TL;DR : tried to create a bashed patch, all saves corrupted, cant restore, NEED HELP SERIOUSLY SO BAD PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MY OWN ANGER AND HELP ME, (cuz i have anger management issues)

After absolutely ruining my old save and entire game install after years of swapping mods, I have started over and worked really hard to make a substantial but reasonably stable and conflict free mod list. I've even gone to such lengths as to make my own compatibility patches for most mods that DO clash and don't have patches otherwise. My problem now is that enemies, when looted, often got two sets of weapons and/or armor in their inventories. I have noticed it mostly for bandits, guards and soldiers, which are also the ones I fight the most so it may also be a problem with others. I had the same problem during my last install that broke, where I used a whole different set of mods. I suspect it has something to do with the Bashed Patch or Patchus Maximus, but I really am at a loss here. I don't seem to be able to upload my plugins and their order to modwatch, so here they are: I use Mod Organizer. The list is sorted by LOOT and then rearranged slightly where I disagreed with it's choices of what should overwrite what. If anyone got any ideas I would be forever grateful!
  16. So i'm currently in the process of switching my mod setup to something basically built around T3nd0's SkyRe, to instead use Perkus Maximus, or PerMa. Because I have quite a few mods, i'm using Wrye Bash, and the bashed patch to help keep my leveled lists cohesive, and help merge some plugins. What i'm finding however, is that the Bashed patch continues to list "SkyRe_Main.esp" as a master, even when I've totally uninstalled Skyre, and rebuilt the patch several times after sorting my load order with LOOT each time. Is there a way that I can completely delete the current incarnation of the Bashed Patch and have Wrye Bash build a totally new one not taking into account old information? any help at all is appreciated.

Hello I use Wrye bash to make my bashed patch 0.esp, I have a question, I use Nexus mod manager to install and manage my mods (I´ve installed Mod Organizer but I don't use it), so I save my mod list in a text file I use Loot but I notice Loot isn't perfect tool to load order so I decide make mine, I use mine load order, the thing is (I hate when its only necessary one click to change every thing or broke something) the other day I was using Wrye bash but by accident I click on the files tab, or size tab, and then my load order sort by size, but just in Wrye bash, so I cant revert that I dont know how to load my load order list, Im just curios THIS IS MY QUESTION:about making the bashed patch Its affects the thing of have a "bad load order" in Wrye bash and then make the bashed patch?? I think doesnt affect by the description what you see after, it seems Wrye bash dont care about load order and use his own way to work to make the bashed patch, I just want to know this, because I dont want to get some surprise when my character will be in level 50 or something (like CTD or some issue) I want the load order I have on my Nexus Mod Manager in Wrye bash, I dont like see it different abone knows how to do this please maybe isnt too important but I like to see my load order in Wrye Bash to manage like I want my mods, please any ideas, I remember when I first install Wrye bash says something about the load order and the load order you can use is one you have on NMM, but that message doesnt appear anymore ever later just when you install wrye bash, I have reinstalled overide it but doesnt change anything, I dont want to unininstall and reinstall the tool, Please feel free to post what you think about :smile:

  19. I'm having trouble with ASIS and my bashed patch. If I run sum when 3DNPC.esp is active and then run tesvedit I get errors with sum.esp regarding something like darksteal stuff from 3dnpc.esp. This happens even though I have 3dnpc.esp in my blocklists.txt for ASIS. The next problem is that if I disable 3dnpc.esp I then have to redo my bashed patch. When I do however, it re-enables it and if I hide the esp with MO then the bashed batch still has it as a missing master file after I redo do it. So, anyone know why this is happening? I keep disabling all my 3dnpc patches along with the esp itself. Also do I need my bashed patch enabled to run my skyproc patches? I'd assume if I disabled it the patches would miss out on all that it does. And if anyone knows why ASIS keeps adding stuff as masters when they are blocked that what be good to know. Same thing happens with everything else that's blocked including things I've added to all the exclusions in all the ini files. Also, I think it's related but I'm not sure, A few of my esps get confused with the master files i.e. I have to sort masters with tesvedit for sum each time I patch, and a few others had to be sorted (they didn't have missing masters or anything just thought that some or all my esms were in a different order even though they had't been touched). -Edit Here are the errors that show after loading everything with tevedit: And this is what is the result of 'check for errors' for sum.esp:
  20. I'm sure this must have been asked and answered a dozen dozen times by now. I've found that the best way to make sure I understand something is to try and explain it to someone else. Please please correct me if I have this wrong. I'm not a modder. I'm not looking to create a new mod. But I would like to understand the theory behind the things I do when I install mods. So here goes: A leveled list is the list of items (armor, weapons, loot, etc) that an NPC carries. The reason it is leveled is so the NPC can spawn with different items at different levels. Example: Bob the Bandit has weapons. His leveled list has an iron sword for levels 1-10 and elven sword for levels 11-20 and ebony sword for levels 21-30. I download the mod "Big Blade" which add the big blade to the bandit's list for levels 21-30. A mod that adds a weapon this way does not remove the ebony sword so there is a chance Bob could spawn with either the big blade or the ebony sword. Then I download the mod "Master Mace" which adds the master mace to the bandit's list, also for levels 21-30. If the Master Mace mod is in the load order after the Big Blade then the mace's level list will replace the big blade's leveled list. Bob could spawn with the ebony sword or the master mace, but not with the big blade. The big blade would still exist in the game, but Bob would never have it. Wrye Bash can do LOTS of things but it is most commonly used to merge leveled lists together so both the big blade, and the master mace, and the ebony sword can all be in Bob's list for levels 21-30. When he spawns in the world he might end up with any of those three weapons. Is that close to accurate?
  21. Okay, so I'm having this weird problem with merged and bashed patches. I don't think my merged and bashed patches are doing what they should be. Basically, both my merged and bashed patches are skipping at least 3/4's of my load order and leaving many many conflicts. Does anyone know why this is happening? And can anyone offer any better advice on solving my conflicts? I have about 195 plugins, many of them conflicting (adding to leveled lists and changing NPC's), and TES5Edit seems to pick up on all the conflictions. As you can see here, TES5Edit adds many masters to my merged patch. But then when I save the patch and open it up in Nexus Mod Manager, it doesn't have even a quarter as many masters as it said it did in TES5Edit, as show here. My Bashed patches suffer basically the same problem, although Wrye doesn't seem to pick up on the conflicts anyway. Are there any more experienced modders out there willing to help? I can't stand knowing that my game isn't playing the way it's supposed to. Also, it's worth mentioning that while Wrye Bash and TES5Edit produce patches that are 100kb and 128kb (in that order), SkyBash, the SkyProc plugin for merged patches produces a patch that is 728 kb, but I've noticed that it still isn't doing what it's supposed to, unfortunately. My Load Order, all are active: Any and all help, opinions, and input would be very appreciated. And once again, if there are any magical patching tools I don't know of yet, I would love to hear about them.
  22. I just got back into New Vegas again, but I seem to be experiencing a problem with Wrye Flash and making a Bashed Patch. While the bash tags appear for several mods on the side, they will not be recognized when rebuilding a merged patch, making it impossible to retrieve the records from active mods. I've tried reinstalling Python packages and manually resetting the tags on each mod to no avail. If anyone has any further advice on the matter, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  23. Yeah, I know - crazy, but it does. Tested it yesterday couple of times. Some details: it's a second Bashed patch in my load order (copy of generated one), becasue sometimes I have do manualyy fix things like reapair lists, names, etc., that the generated one didn't get right,I've scanned it with Fo3Edit error checking thingy, and nothing came up. Did some manual search for "wonky" entries, and also found nothing,the place it crashes for sure, is Fort Independence. But I guess its responsible for other CTD's too.I know\use the known tricks to keep the game alive (audio codec thing, cores thing, master update, no autosave, stutter remover, .esp that fix things, etc.)Any help, ideas would be very appreciated.
  24. There are 2 options if you ask me: (But I'm asking you.) 1-Every single mod that adds/removes an item, every single mod that add/remove/edit leveled lists. 2-Only mods that add/remove/edit leveled lists. What are your thoughts?
  25. hey i am finally reaching out on here for help because i have done everything i could think to do to try and fix my skyrim game i have cleaned the mods that flag with tesv edit, i use loot i have made merged patched and bash patches i have looked for every single fix online i have reinstalled skse to the new version the alpha and have verified the integrity of my game cache i have tried everything i could think of and i even upgraded my computer to the newest invida graphics and new mother board,and to no a vale. so after about 400+ hours of trying to ix this game ( way to long i get fiddle with it at work) i am out of ideas please help i will include my mod order list. i am running a enb graphics mod thereal vison one on performance setting a. i am at my whits end any help would be unbelievably helpful, i am by no means a mod expert and am fumbling in the dark i might have missed something painfully obvious.
