  1. I honestly don't have a clue as to what is going on that is causing me to crash all the time and just in the intro Baurus bugged out and healed himself infinitely instead of progressing. The only error message I get is this: "WARNING -> RecordProcessor: Information lost. Record skipped due to duplicate FORMID. [MOD=(Mages Guild Quests.esp), MODID=(2D), FORMID=(00000000) TYPE=(LAND)] WARNING -> RecordProcessor: Information lost. Record skipped due to duplicate FORMID. [MOD=(Mages Guild Quests.esp), MODID=(2D), FORMID=(00000000) TYPE=(LAND)]" and it is only when I rebuild the patch. Edit: I have been made aware I installed too many large mods despite them being compatible, and am now working on fixing that.
  2. Okay so I had this idea ages ago and attempted to make it myself. I failed bad but then realized someone who is competent could try it! So the basis of my idea is taking Sir Baurus the only surviving blade for TES4 and bringing him to TES5 (Hopefully LE but SE works too I guess.) Now I know your probably thinking "But some mods add him already@why would you post this?" Believe me I know. Except all of those add him as a ghost. I want a him to be a VAMPIRE with an actual mini-questline. Now onto my idea: Fallen Blade Quest #1: The Unrest of the Dead Sir Baurus following the death of Martin and the disappearance of the Champion of Cyrodill continued on as always but without any real emotions. Feeling guilt for failing he eventually was found by a Vampire known as Galvius: another Imperial who felt especially sadistic the day he met Baurus. He slowly corrupted the Young Blade and eventually turned him then in after the first feeding, he revealed to Baurus what he had become. Outraged and Horrified the poor soul of Sir Baurus fled to traveling from place to place before settling in Skyrim (Not sure if I should use a vanilla location or a custom location) where he hides and wallows in what he's become (think Serana but without the family baggage crap and can leave at any time.) When the Dragonborn locates the Blade he insists the player leaves. If persistent enough he will trigger a dialogue which will start a quest to help him kill the vampire that turned him (Again Not sure if I should use a vanilla location or a custom location) This will culminate in Baurus getting his revenge which will trigger more dialogue about who he truly is and whats happened over the course of his life and "Extended Life." He will be saddened by the telling of the death of the Blades and other current world affairs (He is really out of the loop.) The next part of his questline will have him wanting to strike at the Thalmor hearing about a group out in the wilderness. Fallen Blade Quest #2: The Sacred Documents The second quest taking you out into the woods to kill Thalmor is kind of boring and killing the Thalmor is the same as killing a random patrol of them. The kicker to this comes from a note on one of the corpses which guides the quest onward. The note will point toward a (Custom Location, Really couldn't think of a good location but it's a cave so yeah.) It says they have found a stockpile of old documents from the blades and rather then destroy them they are adding them to their library of knowledge. Naturally this cannot stand so you set out to kill the Thalmor infested cave. At the end you find the documents have been moved... To a ship that is preparing to leave Skyrim! (Enter quest #3) Fallen Blade Quest #3: Relocation of Hope The third quest requires you to go onto the coastline of Solitude and find a Thalmor Ship (Custom Location) and killing all the Elves aboard. After that however you learn the documents haven't reached them yet and are stranded at Dragon Bridge. Make the trek and locate the Thalmor. (Side Note killing the Thalmor here is considered a crime [side note within a side note if the guards are Stormcloak them maybe try to change that feature to something more appropriate.] Or you can move them down the road a little ways before reaching Dragon Bridge.) Your goal here is to acquire all documents and possibly stab more elves. After recovering them Baurus thanks you and decides to return to the cave from which he came to study the documents and such. (Note that Sir Baurus is not a follower at this point. Wait a few days and have progressed to Sky Haven Temple in the main questline. A courier will bring you a note from Baurus telling you it is urgent you speak with him.) After receiving the note go find Baurus. He will be where you first found him so yeah this will be simple enough. When you find him he is under attack by Thalmor Agents! Help kill them and speak with the Blade. He will tell you someone saw them near Dragon Bridge and reported that one of the duo was wearing traditional Akaviri Armor. Naturally the Thalmor hate Talos and by extension the Blades. He warns you that it is not safe for him to remain here and he has to leave. However he has no where to go. (This is where you tell him about Sky Haven Temple!) He will at first be shocked that the temple remained undiscovered but will be even more shocked to learn that some of the blades still exist! Eager to leave all you have to do is wait for a few days and when you return to Sky Haven Temple you will see a fierce debate between Esbern and Delphine about the "Mysterious Stranger" who just showed up in ancient Akaviri Armor. (Esbern is for Baurus, Delphine is against.) Ultimately Baurus will enter the room and address you which will make Delphine question you as well. (This ends in Baurus staying at the temple and activates a few of his side quests!) Side Quest #1: Vampire No More Like Serana, Sir Baurus suffers from Vampirism. Unlike Serana however he does not wish to remain a Vampire in any way shape or form however doesn't know that it can be cured. (You can opt not to tell him about it in which case he will remain a vampire with all the stats, perks, and yadda yadda that goes with that. Or you can tell him about it have him lose all that yadda yadda. Note that either way he is a formidable companion.) Side Quest #2: Recovery of the Akaviri This quest will be repeatable for a full set of Ancient Enchanted Akaviri Armor (Locations Randomized.) This is just for a buffed version of the Blades Armor. Fallen Blade Quest #4: Insane Plans for Desperate Blades The current blades members gather together in the main hall of Sky Haven Temple for a meeting. (Note this quest only starts once the main questline is finished. That means going to Sovnguard and stuff.) The meeting is about the Thalmor more specifically their scouts. They are getting closer and closer to the temple grounds and none of the blades like it. You have to go out and kill more Thalmor and discover why they are searching so close to the grounds. You find a note on a Thalmor that goes into detail about getting a tip about some "Akaviri Ruins" nearby to the location. You need to report back and after a bit of discussion they decide on a perfect course of action. They redirect the idea to an ancient nord tomb. That's right. (Could be custom or vanilla but I think a custom one would work better for the idea.) You are to go to the Thalmor Embassy and give the Thalmor outside of the base a "Tip" on where the Blades are hiding out. (This is of course the tomb.) After some brief skepticism you convince the guard it's legitimate and he takes it to his superiors. Now onto the tomb. It has been cleared of Draugr and all around cleaned up (Making it seem more and more like a base.) Of course there is a catch. A lot of traps have been set and you get to play with the stupid fools! After you kill all of them the Thalmor will spend weeks searching this place for the Blades! Now return to Sky Haven Temple and speak with Delphine. (This will complete the questline.) After you finish the questline speak to SIr Baurus. He will say something (Like a joyful comment of not feeling that alive in years.) He will also say something along the lines of "You may not be the Emperor, but you can count on my swordarm at at any time." This unlocks his follower and possibly Marriage option. Random Dialogue? Something about knowing the emperor being there when they were assassinated and saying something like the Champion just vanished off the face of Tamriel. He will also sometimes talk about living back then as a blade and what it means. Anyway thanks for reading my entire post. Just an idea I had (That could be lorefriendly but probably not) The DLC's it could require? Dawnguard and Hearthfire. In fact why not Dragonborn too? Screw it, LE or SE. As for his combat style? Look at his combat style in Oblivion or give him a Serana-like set (Minus the Conjuration and Necromancy magic.)
  3. Hi everyone! Hope you can help me with this. So since the first quest in the imperial prison sewers my game has been glitchy. I got many CTDs when approaching the emperor and his blade bodyguards but through persistence I managed to get to the end of the quest where the emperor was laying dead on the ground. Now, Baurus has been a glitchy character from the beginning, first he didn't follow the emperor through the tunnels so I had to move him next to the Emperor's body with the "moveto player" command. Once next to the body he wouldn't recognise it and just kept healing himself. It was only after I shot an arrow at him that he came back to his script and recognised the emperors body, giving me the key so I could finish the quest. Now, fastforward a few quests and adventures and I'm trying to do The Path of Dawn quest, where I'm supposed to meet the Sponsor to get the v4 of Commentaries on the Mysterium Xarxes. And there is Baurus, and he is glitchy again. After we kill the agent that had been following him, he just frose there and wouldn't proceed to the elven gardens sewer. I searched on the net and someone suggested to use the command "disable" and "placeatme (Baurus ref)" which made Baurus respawn in full blade's armor but proceed with the quest. After going through the sewers and finally reaching the point where I have to choose either to meet the sponsor myself or to cover Baurus from the passage on the top I get two different glitches: If I choose to cover Baurus, he sits on the chair but the Sponsor NEVER shows up. If I choose to meet the sponsor , as soon as I sit on the chair my game CTDI sincerely hope someone out there can help me with this, as I'm enjoying a lot playing a modded version of Oblivion but often times it makes me wonder if it's worth it with all the troubles I'm going through. By all means I'm not a experienced modder, I don't even consider myself an amateur one. Also, every now and then, after I die and have to Load a game, I get a Crash with the following message: "Runtime Error! Program:C:\Games... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." This doesn't bother me THAT much, I'm just mentioning it in case it will help you solve my problem. I have uninstalled a few mods since I started playing (mainly Vanilla combat enhanced, Vampyre overhaul, and Curse of Hircine Ressurected), as I'm running it on a low-end laptop, again, just metioning it in case it helps you all. Thanks in advance for your help and for taking the time to assist me in my quest noble community! TL;DR: Game crashes in the Path of Dawn Quest, Baurus is glitchy from day one.
