Good evening all, I am attempting to set up a steam copy of Dragon Age Origins Ultimate with some nexus mods. The copy is functional, just finished a playthrough, and Vortex autorecognised the game folder, but Vortex cannot boot the game, and does not seem to be able to use mods; that is to say they deploy in vortex just fine, but the game is unaffected. This is an older game, and just booting on steam required some f*#@ery to get a large-address aware version of the game. Comments on the mods indicate this is a Steam specific issue potentially, though nobody seems to have a solution. Has anyone gone through this pain? Advice appreciated.

Hi guys, Steam likes to warn users about the dangers of being antisocial, so it will throw up a warning when you try to open Steam again, after closing it in offline mode. If you prefer Steam to open in the background, or like me, don't want your friends to know how much of a degenerate you are (wayyy too many hours of Skyrim), then this tutorial is for you. Step 1 Go to your Steam installation directory (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) and create a new text file that you'll rename to a .bat file. I called mine SteamOffline.bat. Open your new batch file with notepad and paste these lines: These commands change two lines in a file called loginusers.vdf, which tells Steam to (1)start offline and (2)skip the offline message. In addition, the steam client will start in your system tray without opening. Save your batch file and make sure it works by exiting Steam (shouldn't be running in Task Manager) and double-clicking the batch file to run it. Make everything neat by right-clicking your batch file and clicking Create shortcut. You can change the icon and rename the shortcut to look like the original Steam application. Step 2 You might notice that a terminal opens up briefly before Steam runs, then disappears. We can address this by making the program start minimized. Then, right-click your new shortcut and click Properties. In the drop-down menu labeled Run:, select Minimized, then click okay to close the properties window. You can now use this shortcut to replace all your Steam shortcuts to always start Steam offline. Step 3 Now we'll replace Steam's startup entry with a modified offline entry. In the upper left hand corner of the Steam menu, go to Steam > Settings > Interface and uncheck Run Steam when my computer starts. Step 4 Execute the Run command by pressing Windows Key + R and type shell:startup. The windows startup folder should open. Cut and paste your modded shortcut into the startup folder. Step 5 Open Command Prompt with Ctrl + Shift + Esc and navigate to the Startup tab. Verify that Steam is not there, and SteamOffline.bat, or whatever you named your batch file, appears on the list. Step 6 Reboot your computer and enjoy Offline Steam as it was intended! btw, does anyone know how to make image thumbnails in Nexus Forums without resizing the actual image? This forum uses some really weird bbcode for images. Edit If it randomly stops working and the Offline Mode warning popup starts appearing again, open steam normally and see if it requests your username and password. If so, you need to sign in to steam again and remember to check the "Remember my password" box. Windows version updates, e.g. 1902 to 20H2 can cause apps to sign you out, resulting in some things breaking.

I had to update my game from 1.10.26 to 1.10.50 (Forgot I had the updates set to manual on steam lol.) I've updated the mods that required updating, including F4SE. Now when I go to open the game using F4SE it will not boot for me. I've tried with and without mods active and still crashed. I can run the game through steam, but that's about it. How do I go about fixing this? Help plz, thank you.

My game is crashing on loadup. Black screen, then desktop. I use Mod Organizer for mod management. Mod manager has one plugin with an issue, the ReProccer.esp for skyre, it's missing an ADS.esp, I dunno what mod that is from. I don't remember uninstalling any recently. I did recently install the following: BorderSense*, Death Souls (not activated, for use on a different profile), Alternate Actors (also not activated), Apocalypse, Bigger Trees*, Dead Body Collision Fix*, No Spinning Death Animation, Main Menu Spinning Skyrim Emblem*, Armored Sprint*, Better MessageBox Controls**, Dragon Soul Relinquishment, Brighter Torches with Bigger Radius (i forgot to enable this one in the first place, so it can't be it), Auto UnEquip Ammo*. Colour variances made to make it easier to read and skim over. *I attempted to run with this disabled. It changed nothing. **I had this mod on an old install of skyrim and just got it again on my new install. Previous install had it working as far as I remember. I know its a lot of new mods, but I've had the game less than like a month or two, and my mod could still is below 200. MO says my lowest priority item is 176, so my mod count is that plus my dlc's. I did not install the high res pack since I doubt my current GPU can handle it. I also have some files in my Overwrite for some reason. plugin list, in order of mod index:

Recently, one of my "friends" accidentally deleted my textures for skyrim. It is rather annoying to see everyone walking around in shiny blue gloves and boots. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Today, I got the Arch-Mage Robes from finally completing the College of Winterhold quest-line. I first tried to have my character wearing it with Falmer boots (really shin-guards). However, the pants part of the robes clipped through the shin pieces, so I thought, "OK, this robe was not made for this armor, so I will try to have my character wear it with something that it was meant for, such as the Arch-Mage Boots located in the Arch-Mage's Quarters (the ones with the Shock Resist)" However, the clipping still occurred. This is a graphical bug, or has this problem always persisted with these robes?

Hello! I'm Emily and I'm in need of some serious help. I'm trying to install NMM to apply mods to my copy of DA:I, but every time I try to open NMM it gives me an error: I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate via Boot Camp on my 21.5 inch iMac (late 2009) with Sierra OS X. I've got everything else running perfectly, I've updated NVIDIA drivers and everything and I even tried installing new .NET Framework versions but they gave me an error saying they weren't supported on Windows 7. Can someone please help me? I don't know what to do. Is there some way to bypass this or correct it, if it's a glitch/error? Or can I update the .NET Framework to 4.0 or something? I'm very confused. Please help! Thank you ahead of time! x EDIT I have since updated to Windows 7 SP1 as instructed by a troubleshooter, and then tried to install .NET Framework 4.6.2 again and am still getting a "this operating system does not support this framework" error. I successfully installed 4.0 so I'm confused why I can't update to 4.1+ because I have all the system requirements. And for whatever reason, NMM requires .NET Framework version 4.6.2. UGHHHHHH. PLEASE HELP.

Here is my load order for Skyrim, I have been troubleshooting it for a while manually and have become tired of doing it over and over again. Yes, I do use SKSE and I have ran FNIS utility for the animations. The game stopping issue is a CTD after a half-minute of gametime. I also want to ask what program would be best used to fix this, as in a mod ordering program, one that's more powerful than NMM as the title says. Thanks for any help at all! load order:

Hi there! So, before the NMM for FO4 i was installing the mods manually and everything worked... But then the NMM support for FO4 came and i decided to install it. And pretty much that's the problem. After installing it, the game just won't start. Crashes after like 2 secs of the game's intro movie. Never had any issues with it before (The game). Things I've tried: - Uninstalled all mods I had installed before. - Verified game cache. Like 6 times. - Removed the game and redownloaded it again. It will not boot even though it's purely fresh out of Steam. - Uninstalled NMM - Running the game in window mode; border/borderless My rig (If this gives any help): Intel i5 4670k 3.40GHz GTX 780Ti 16GB RAM Running on Windows 10 Pro
