  2. I just released this mod the other day and I'm working on the first update. I'd really like to make the Cannons above deck fire actual Cannonballs. I don't even care if they hit anything, just firing in a straight line would be cool. Maybe I'll add a puff of smoke and a spark FX. I already made them into activators that play the artillery sound. I've tried many times to reverse-engineer the traps in the CK cells called WarehouseTraps and WarehouseGunTraps. I've also studied the vanilla USS Constitution. I can't make any sense of how they work together. Looks like there's a button, an activator, a dummy weapon and a projectile. If I select one of them they are all selected, so I guess they're grouped together somehow. If I can just get my head around how it works I can take it from there... Kudos and mod page credits for anyone who can help me figure this out. Thank you :smile:

So far in game I've been disappointed with the lack of a good alpha strike energy weapon. one of the biggest things i miss from fallout 3 and new vegas is the tesla cannon. currently the largest damage laser weapon is either the silly laser turrets or the assaultron laser. now im not sure if this is currently possible but using a fusion core to power it and charging with a mechanic similar to the gauss rifle. slightly slower mind you but the number on the display should correlate to the damage done and the power taken from the fusion core. so at 100 charge it would take 100 from the fusion core allowing 5 shots before needing a reload. again this may be possible right now but i dont know much about coding or editing.

Ok, so my friend and I had the idea of creating 3 guns that are overpowered (But you have to either pay a vendor 10,000 caps or place it in a hard to reach spot) that have dubstep or any form of dance music played when the weapon is fired. Me and my friend are both Music producers and huge fans of Fallout and we think this is just a fun project to do. We are willing to create three tracks that each gun will play.   6. i would like to see a new ammo type or cyber arm that acts as a shotgun with low spread high power with descent range. limited shots before it needs to cool down or something like that would probably balance it well enough. iv always been confused with the projectile launcher and why it isn't apart of the stat tree like mantis arms and cyberwire. ghost in the shell has a good example of a cannon like shotgun arm. even if its like a cannon and fires one large slug or non explosives armor piercing round which doesn't use smart link force you to think about what cyberwear you want if you go down that rout or some thing like that i really just want to see this in the game
  7. Hi, i was wondering if it was possible to put in a glass cannon mode? What this would mean is that enemies deal more damage but so do you, ie 100% or 200% damage increase for you and 50%-100% for your adversaries. Also can someone point me where people can speed up the game? I saw soem guy playing turbo mode, basically like in dmc but i just couldnt find the mod anywhere. Alternatively can someone help me access files of the game so maybe this can be done without mods and you just tweak damage numbers in the ingame files? The reason behind this is i am ng+5 and would kinda wanna deal absurd damage (more than on ng) but also die in pretty much one hit so you get through fights and subsequent ng cycles quicker, maybe while even not use the idols at all, this could make the game more interesting imo. What do you think? Thanks in advance

I was thinking for the crafing recipe: Cannon - 5 Iron Ingots 4 Firewood (50Lbs) Balls (x5) - 3 Iron Ingot (5 Lbs) 8 Second cool down between shots Just make it shoot a modified Fireball Spell Add a 15 second delay before you can shoot it after placing
  9. Recently I've gotten into using GECK to mod weapons and have a semi-basic understanding of how it all work, but I am getting stuck on modifying ammo the way I want to. Basically, my idea is this: I want to make an ammo the has the animation of a Tesla Cannon projectile, shoots like one, has the speed of that projectile (instantaneous), BUT on impact I want the thing to explode like a Fatman mini-nuke would and do all the damage and have the radius and possibly, although not necessary, leave behind radiation just like a mini-nuke would. Now before you say simple stuff like, "just change the animation in the weapon mod area to tesla cannon projectile and have it shoot nukes." Well see I've done just that, and tried many other things. I've tried modding the ammo but find you have to have the projectile type on Fatman nukes to make it, well explode like a Fatman nuke. I've tried changing the impact script on the ammo, I've tried changing the animation on the weapon (which doesn't affect it at all when using the nukes). It still shoots nukes. You can see the nuke, it travels with an arc like a nuke and moves slowly like a nuke.... It is a nuke. Anyways point being what I want (to reiterate myself thoroughly) is an ammo, that shoots from a gun, it really shouldnt matter what type, that has the animation and instantaneous speed of a Tesla Cannon projectile, and on impact, explodes and wreaks havoc like a nuke. Thoughts?
  10. Grenades are pretty neat. Big guns are really neat, too. Power Armor? Now that's pretty dang neat. Why not slap all that shtick together and see what happens? someone else: but you can use a big gun and power armor and a grenade anyway >_>; I'm not doing a good job pitching this, let me try again... Let's get all Pip-Boy up in here. Shoulder Cannons: Grenades, but better. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basically a modification for your Power Armor that lets you fire your grenades out of a large, shoulder-mounted cannon instead of throwing them from your hand like some kind of caveman. The type of grenade you have equipped turns into the type of payload your weapon fires. There's a few variants I've come up with: 1. The Mortar - Able to launch the grenade, in an arc, much further than you can, but aims at what you're aiming at instead of whatever distance ahead of you. Will not launch the grenade beneath a certain minimum distance so you don't accidentally catch yourself in splash damage, unless you're aiming at the wall directly in front of your face like a very silly person. 2. The Cluster - Similar to the Mortar, except it uses and fires 5 grenades at once in a spread around where you aimed at. I suppose this could be an upgrade to the basic Mortar, but you could also upgrade this further to use only one grenade to fire five clusters. Essentially, carpet bombing. 3. The Launcher - Fires your grenade straight forward, like a cannon, and causes it to explode on impact. Dude. If you're firing a mine, however, it will attach to the target point and behave relatively normally. Simply put, this is... a grenade... cannon. An RPG. A Rocket Launcher. But it does fire whatever grenade you have equipped, so, bonus points? 4. Homing Missile - Similar to the Launcher, except it requires you to stand still, keep your aim on your target, and release when the lock has been established, at which it will fire a homing missile loaded with your grenade of choice. Can be upgraded to lock onto multiple targets and fire one missile per target. Duuuuude. 5. Laser Cannon - Wait, this one doesn't use Grenades!? Whatever. When you have no Grenade equipped, it uses up a Fusion Core (or some of your Core's energy) to fire off a devastating laser cannon blast similar to the Assaultron's Head Laser. Requires a charging time, for which you need to stand still, but boy howdy does it feel good when you vaporise an entire horde of raiders with one blast of this bad boy. Or close enough. Developer's choice of how powerful it is ofc... but I'm sure we can all agree that this is what we want to see. Other simple ideas for variants: > Mounted Broadsider that fires Cannonballs. > Vertical Missile Salvo that locks onto targets in sync with VATS. > Mounted Minigun or Laser Gatling that function similar to their normal counterparts. But why would you want this when you can do most/all of this already anyway? Because it's cool? Also not having to switch weapons for big guns, or having two big guns at the same time, and having more unique ways of firing grenades. See reference to caveman above. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I really hope this choice of font style didn't gouge anyone's eyes out. To be honest, I hope it only helps make my suggestion more memorable. ^^; Even more so, I hope someone actually picks this up, but I get it if nobody does. At the very least I hope this idea entertained you all, and that the image of some of these weapons made you think "Nice."
