  1. Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue - apologies if it turns out to be a dumb question, I'm new to gaming and I sometimes make things harder than they need to be for myself. I've modded all my Dragon Age games with basic help from the internet and a lot of experimentation on my part. I successfully modded DAO a few months ago, but now I'm using a different computer. I've checked every forum and no one seems to have asked my question. Basically, I successfully compiled my CC mods using the CharGenMorph Compiler (a brilliant, brilliant lifesaver) but I can't get the mods to appear in the game. My file is saved as an .xml in Documents > BioWare > Dragon Age > packages > core > override. I had to make the override folder myself, which is strange since I downloaded the game from Origin and that doesn't seem to be the case, usually. Again, it's a single chargenmorph.xml file that I made using the compiler. No part of that mod will show in game - the closest I got was having space for those mods on the sliders, but all mod hairs left the scalp half-open, skin tones didn't show, etc. If anyone has any idea what's going on, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure where to start since almost every question about CC mods comes from people who haven't compiled their .xml files yet. Thanks in advance, guys!
  2. This is a post I made on Bethesda.net regarding several questions about a bug with Codsworth during the first quest within Sanctuary. If you ever noticed Codsworth not patrolling the homes for the bugs, or just pacing after the first house and not completing the quest- read the below. I was having this problem on PC, using a modded setup- and with that, per the norm I started to diagnosis it as a possible mod problem. Turns out, it is a CC problem. I removed all CC content, reloaded from with my last save in Vault 111 (right at the exit). Of course I got the missing ESL list, but I just clicked okay and saved the game again in a different slot. Then, I exited the Vault and let any mods I had configure and load themselves before approaching Codsworth. I saved my game again just before interacting with the robot as a future loading point for testing. Then, I talked to him and was able to complete the starting quest just fine. I repeated this 3 more times with the same result. So, I started to look at the CC. I have quite a bit of the CC within my game, most gotten as freebies or discounts in bundles. Captain Cosmos, all the dogs, dog transmog, housing kits, Tunnel Snakes, a few armor and pipboy color addons, etc (28 CC to be exact). I first loaded the two CC with esms, Tunnel Snakes and Captain Cosmos. Then I loaded from the save just before Codsworth and tested. I was able to complete it just fine. So, I repeated the process with each CC, some in small groups ... until I had all the CC back and using the same save file each time so each CC would have to activate in concert with each other every test. So, with the CC still in place- I reloaded to a Vault 111 save that was set before I ever started the testing process and headed to the exit then to Codsworth, letting everything load before hand. And boom, there was the problem. I also noticed in the dialogue tree where he would ask if they should check the neighborhood together (after already having asked him what was wrong - yellow dialogue), the line asking if anything around here was dangerous was gone and replaced with the yellow dialogue option again. This was only present during the Codsworth quest bugged sequence and not in ANY of the other tests. Worth noting during this bugged sequence, he also did not hand me the Hi Honey! holotape despite having the dialogue and animations doing so. I've come to the conclusion that if all CC is loaded, with having so many, at the start of the game ... it risks the chance of this bug happening. Now, this may be a conflict between the CC and some UI elements I am having such as DEF_UI or Full Dialogue Interface, maybe even the Full Dialogue Interface LOOKUP FAILED Fix or fixed translation files for DEF_UI; more testing will have to be done. But if you are having this error, trying doing what I did to see if it clears it up. If you have no CC, then this may be a bug introduced with a recent patch within the 2018 year- or another factor that is triggering the bug. But with all I've seen, CC is at the heart of it with some other factor involved; be it a vanilla bug or mod error coupled with the CC.
  3. Is there any way to preserve the face of a custom-made Hawke as a preset for future playthroughs? I've basically made my "canon" Hawke, and I really don't want to go through the hassle of trying to recreate her again in future pt's. I'd love to be able to load it up as one of the preset head options, maybe make a few tweaks, and then go. Can I get to this slider data somehow and then replace one of the presets with it?
  4. Please, I've been waiting years for this. I just want Oghren's Hair for my elf male warden =/ Already know that a human male version of his hairstyle is available through some Custom Alistair Mod, but with this mod the Oghren's Hair only work with human male. I have no idea of how this type of mod works, so I'm requesting here again. Could someone PLEASE make a Oghren Hairstyle for every type of character, or at least for male elves? Thanks in advance!
  5. Something very strange happens to me in the tundra home of cc. When I try to select and delete the paintings with Jaxson´s positioner, I experience a ctd, every time. If you have any ideas, I aprecciate the help.
  6. Looking for a custom commission for like a face preset, a hairstyle, a pair of earrings and like maybe top surgery scar texture? If any modders are open to paid requests let me know!! I just really want specific stuff to mod my characters in the game.
  7. I use a TON of mods, and one of my issues is that the Farming CC playhome is my favorite due to location and income, but it does NOT look as good as some other modded playerhomes. One of my favourite playerhomes is Menskr, but I see that nobody has made an overhaul for the two buildings at Goldenhills plantation. Sadly my issue of wanting to set it as the home for Kaidan/Lucien/Inigo is a separate concern, I would LOVE for someone with the skill to remake the interiors and maybe exteriors of these buildings into something small, functional, and good looking!

After uninstalling all of my CC mods, in a new game by AE GOG 1.6.659 version, got alerted by Vortex that I had missing masters because USSEP depended on 3 or 4 CC mods (don't remember exactly which). Therefore I have uninstalled USSEP and all of its dependencies and the game has launched without a problem. Is this something normal, something which supposed to happen? In USSEP mod's webpage doesn't communicate anything about that USSEP has dependencies, only other mods have dependency on USSEP. What's going on, any clues??
  9. Can we please get a mod that allows us to access the Character Creator room and CHANGE our appearance mid-game? How could Larian omit such an important feature for an RPG? Why are we force-locked into one appearance for the whole playthrough? This is an RPG. People want to change their looks as they progress, they change gear, they may change class, they make choices (evil/good), and may want to reflect these changes on their character. Why are we force-locked into one look for the whole playthrough? If you can pay and change Class/Skills, you should also be able to change Hairstyle and Tattoos. Just add a freaking barber or the option to change our appearance at a mirror, Larian. How could this be omitted during 6 years of development? Why didn't Early Access testers mention this? Considering that the game is suffering from the usual Character Creator lighting issue, the lighting during the CC room is different from the lighting in-game, and your looks end up being completely different. All colors have a different tint to them when in game, and we need to be able to change our appearance until we find what works best.
  10. Hello! I wanna talk about grass mods and see if anyone can offer up a solution. I have a love/hate relationship with Grass Mods. I love them because they look great and add something to Skyrim. I hate them because there is always grass is places there should not be. Number One example of this is the Khajiit Caravan set up outside Whiterun. In vanilla there's NO grass because the Khajiit frequent in this spot as a camp site. Makes perfect sense. However, every single grass mod I've tried always fills that spot with grass so when the Khajiit visit they are drowning in it. Always find grass in water...just why? Another problem is all the CC content is consumed by grass. Goldenhills Plantation is swallowed up by it. Landscape fixes for Grass Mods is great but doesn't remove any grass in these areas. Need another mod to Remove grass in water. I seek a solution to fix this issue. Is there a mod for this I am missing? Is there a way to go in a remove it myself?
  11. I have wanted to get a Spider-Man costume for The Sims™ 3 for so long. There used to be a post with The Amazing Spider-Man 1 suit (by dkyrie) but you can’t download it anywhere.   12. I've been struggling for the past couple hours trying to troubleshoot why I cannot enter Myrwatch. I've had a few CTDs beforehand, maybe 10 or so (in a level 59 playthrough of a few weeks), but I honestly just expect CTDs at this point and don't really care as long as they're not consistent. Probably a bad idea, but trying to sort all these mods out is a herculean task. So after getting up to the point of the quest where I cast Flames on the Eye of Magnus symbol, and the door unlocks, I enter. And it crashes during loading. Think, "Oh, must be one of those random CTDs," and try again. Crash. Tried looking it up, and this isn't a common enough issue that anyone seems to have posted about, so if there's some conflicting mod that messes with Myrwatch then I have no idea which one it is. After various attempts of downloading a few CC patches, and nothing worked, I'm stumped. I verify the integrity of the files, clean out dirty files with SSEEdit, and it still continues to crash. I need a bit of help here. I'm not very tech savvy, and I am totally ignorant to how a lot of things work. I get by on blindly following troubleshooting threads and tutorials, mostly. This is my load order, anything crossed out is inactive. I'm on the latest edition of Skyrim AE, using SKSE's preliminary AE build and any mod I have here should work with it, I think?
  13. Is it possible to change some new textures from the new CC armors (from the Anniversary Edition I mean) to the vanilla one? I ask this so that Elven Hunter, Dwarven Mail, Orcish Plate, Stalhrim Fur etc... armors can appear the same style as a vanilla retexture. I mean, there are some brand new assets such as bandoliers, but the metal parts of these new armors are basically the same as vanilla, I don't understand why they made new textures instead of using the original ones...
  14. I love mods and love people who do them. But Bethesda's creation club is the wall between my love and mods. What do to? How to live? I would never think before that once will be a day without mods. I even would like to pay for them, but stupidly the price is to high for me ( I did some maths and from that I've got I'll need to pay about 2000$ to 4000$ to get modding experience I usually have) In my dream there is a way for modding community to live and it's OBSIDIAN WITH THEIR OPEN WORLD 3-D PERSON RPG WHICH CONTAIN OPPORTUNITY FOR MODDING.
  15. what i really would love more than bitching and complaining about the CC right now? New and awesome mini-dlc seized content, for which the creators are paid fairly. But instead i kill synths in the mahkra fishpacking for the billionth time (: Great experience bethesda. Now i can do it in this new, usefull and unique horse power armor for about 4.50$. /s EDIT: Oh, now the new update to 1.10 isnt supporting FO4SE. Faaaaantastic.
  16. About a week ago I've installed some mods for Skyrim SE. Some were from plain Skyrim's Nexus, some from Syrim SE's Nexus and some from in-game mod downloader. Everything was working perfectly in the day, which I installed them. I wasn't able to even use computer for like a week and when I launched Skyrim yesterday it auto-installed the Creation Club update. From that time every NPC character is in T-pose and everyone of them is unable to move (Instead of me, I can move or attack, but there are no animations, and I'm in constant T-pose too). It looks like it affects only humanoids, since all creatures are working perfectly. Firstly I tried to fix that with mod named Re-Animate. Nothing. I have reinstalled whole game. Everything looks the same. And if I'll try to diseable all of the mods still nothing changes. From mods, that might hoewer be associated with this bug I can only mention: USSEP, SSEFixes and IOR (but since I've tried to diseable every of them, I'm sure that it's not their fault). Game is unplayable like that and I can't find anyone with similar problem, since I didn't use any animation mods. While waiting for anyone's response, I'll post this to some other forums, since there MAYBE are some users with similar problem. Thank you for any ideas, even if they won't work, and thank you for reading this. Sorry for the weird form of the text, I copy-pasted it from Bethesda Forums...
  17. So I modded lockpicks to weigh 0.1 (up from 0) and it worked fine (really simple) until the Creation Club update where lockpicks are now reverted back to the un-modded weight of 0. Anybody know what is going on? I suspect Survival Mode is screwing with the weight value (even though I have survival mode disabled). The Update.esm file changes lockpicks to weigh 0.1, the weight value for lockpicks in survival mode, but when survival mode in disabled lockpick have their vanilla value of 0. The .esl file for survival mode does NOT edit the lockpick item at all, so I'm thinking disabling survival mode also disables new features that are in Update.esm. Maybe if survival mode is disabled a script runs to change the weight of lockpicks to 0 (instead of the new default of 0.1) and this script overrides all other edited entries? I'm only guessing it works this way because I'm out of ideas as to why editing the lockpick entry no longer has any effect in-game apparently. Plus a complicated buggy backwards implementation seems like the way Bethesda likes to do things. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I know this seems like such a small thing, but I want to figure this out before more poorly implemented CC mods mess with my game in bigger ways.
  18. is there any chance that it would be possable to make the rank on the shoulder pads the rank that the character is, you can craft it as knight or sentenel ect. also make the orange details the same red that the ranks on power armor are. (any one think that a complete nub like me could try? i dont even know where to start)

They were hosted on the dragon age projects section on the bioware forums but are no longer accessible. I would really appreciate any help in getting them, as there are a lot of morphs and presets I would absolutely love to use and play with that require them.   20. trying to make a patch. Hey folks, been awhile since i've been in here. i'm currently running alternate start and for some reason it seems to break two creation club start up quests for me, arcane archer pack and arcane accessories pack. tried asking arthmoor about it but it looks like my post got deleted. so i'm trying to make a patch so those two quests will start properly or at the very least the items from them will get added to the leveled list like they usually would, i don't care if i get the items at the start as that felt a bit cheaty anyways, but i'm having a hard time figuring out how to get the leveled lists to inject properly. it's been awhile since i've messed with it. so i have two questions; how can i get the quest to start properly, ie can i change it to start based off of a letter added to the player's inventory? second, how can i force the leveled lists to inject into vendors without relying on the associated quests for these two creations? side note; both creations are installed properly and other creations have their items and quests started properly. so far only the two above fail to start. no idea why, i've compared them in the kit and they all rely on starting after character gen, but only some fire properly and others don't.

  25. Hi there Skyrim community. I recently start modding and I have installed Vortex and the Unofficial mod patch for Skyrim S.E My Skyrim S.E has the latest original updated version. Here's my problem that I'm not sure that if it's going to be a problem or not. If I installed Skyrim Creation Club items etc...would that break or bring new bugs/glitches for my Skyrim S.E? :confused: :mellow: :sad: I need help and advice on this before I do or install Skyrim Creation Club items.
