This is my first time posting in this forum, and it's my fifth time trying to apply mods into Skyrim Legendary Edition (main game + DLCs), first time with Vortex. I have all the mods I wanted (save for one which is unfortunately only on special edition), made sure to resolve every conflict and issues that Vortex flagged and notified me of. I followed video instructions for installing SKSE and SkyUI. I looked up every possible article to try and resolve this issue myself with no luck at all. I reinstalled everything, restarted my computer, shut off my computer and turned it back on, but nothing works. The issue I'm having is that once I make a new game (didn't have any saves beforehand), one of the mods takes you straight away to the race menu. About a minute passes without any issues, but then the cursor suddenly disappears entirely. I'm unable to progress through the Race Menu after that because I can't navigate from category to category (body to face, face to eyes, etc.). If I open the main menu by pressing J/journal, the cursor reappears. But when I close the main menu again, it disappears instantly. From what I looked up online, everything and everyone says this is related (most likely) to SKSE's menus. So my question to those with far more expertise in this field is, what do you think the problem is? Is there a way to fix this? If you guys need the full list of mods I have installed I can get the list, but I wanted to ask first in case one wasn't needed.

Hello, I would like to request for a mod that can let you change the Disguise Self spell presets so that you can be able to create a custom character to play as and shapeshift into. I would like to roleplay into a changeling, but the Disguise Self presets are all so bland, and I want them to reflect my original character, for example same hair, same skin, same tattoos, blah blah blah this will honestly be very great and make me very happy and make a lot of people happy! :D if u can make this pls do i will be in debt

Dear Baldur’s Gate 3 Community, I hope this message finds you well! As an avid player and enthusiast of the game, I’d like to share some thoughts on character customization, specifically focusing on the shorter races (gnomes, halflings, and dwarves). Gnome Head Options: While the existing gnome head choices are appreciated, I believe there’s room for expansion. It would be fantastic to see more diverse gnome head presets, especially those with a rounder more feminine appearance. Perhaps some options with less pronounced chins and noses would resonate with players who prefer a softer aesthetic. Younger Head Variations: Currently, many male characters appear mature, often in their 40s or 50s. Introducing younger head variations would add depth to character creation. Let’s celebrate the diversity of ages within the game world! Halfling Customization: Halflings deserve more love too! Additional head choices for halflings would be delightful. Whether it’s different facial features, hairstyles, or expressions, expanding the options would enhance our role-playing experience. I understand that game development involves complex decisions, but I believe that addressing these aspects would enrich the game for all players. Let’s continue celebrating the uniqueness of each race and make character creation even more engaging! Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to seeing the game evolve. Warm regards Ida

Not gonna lie I haven't seen Lilith inspired horns yet for Baldur's gate 3 and tbh I'd honestly consider commissioning someone to do it at this point, I've always liked her horn models and thought it would be a dope addition to the chaotic evil tiefling playthrough I have planned. If anyone feels like taking a stab at it lemme know.

I know VR is a bit wobbly on its birth legs, but has anyone a fix please for this? In character creation, my character is looking at the sky, absolutely craning his / her neck upwards. So I can't do anything with choice of hairs, look on face, etc. I have no idea why the character is doing this - it is weird. Thanks!

Hey, so I used to play male characters almost exclusively in fallout 4. One reason for this is I cannot seem to create a decent-looking female character to save my life - all the female characters I create seem to look too much like guys in drag, lol. And yet, I see some people make great-looking female characters - some of the screenshots on various mod pages. My question is this: How do you do it? I already installed numerous mods for beautification, but I just can't seem to make a decent character. The screenshot attached here is the best I could do after spending about 2 hours in character creation. (ignore the very noticeable neck gap on the screenshot - it goes away when wearing other clothes.) Any tips people could give me to make my character look better would be appreciated.

It will let me scroll with W/S and my mouse to change race, but I can't do anything to the look of my character besides that. I can name my character and play normally but I would like to change the way my character looks. For my first character, it was fine and I could change everything. Yes, i have mods installed and i had them installed and haven't changed anything since creating my first character. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. i am at a loss for what to do.

Make starting skills from background rank 4 instead of rank 1, and maybe add like 3 more skills for each background, for example the homesteader background could also have gastronomy/outpost construction/special projects and the ronin background could also have fitness/martial arts/rejuvenation

This is a request and/or a question. I've been trying to make an androgynous character, or a more feminine male character, and I have one of the mods that flattens the chest of the female bodies, but then the gear doesn't quite match, and I tried the slimmer male build mod, and that's not bad - especially since it came with modded basic equipment - but then the male faces don't quite match the aesthetic I'm trying to achieve. There is one mod I found that seems to migrate the female faces over, but they're replacers only and I don't want to mess up the NPCs or anything. I have no idea how to swap the models or textures myself, so I figured I'd ask. I have a few modded faces like Faces of Faerun, etc, but I'd love to be able to use them on the male body presets. Does anyone know how to do this, or is anyone working on it? I know it's minor gameplay-wise, but I'm NB and it'd be really satisfying to be able to be properly androgynous. Thank you!

This is a humble mod Request for my fav. Race in DnD 5e. The Owlin! Its a bird! its a plane! no wait its actually just a large humanoid owl! I'm personally not good at making mods so i'm asking the more talented in this aspect to help my poor owlin-less True soul, basic beakdown (pun intended) is they are the owlin from The Curriculum of Chaos. Magic: the gathering sourcebook. they have owl-like faces, talons for both hands and feet,, and wings on their back, and come in varied types of owls, such as barn, Horned, and snow owl variants. however i wont be picky! ill take whatever anyone is willing to do. their racial stuff as far as baldur's gate goes would be these. Darkvision (120ft) (37m) Flight same as movement (so long as lightly armored) (sidenote, the game already has a flight mechanic I'm sure you know, my idea to implement this would be a variation of that, only it procs Opportunity attacks, kinda like the familiar "Quothe" but on the Player Character. and the animation could be just a simple wings spread out and light flapping to move) Stealth Proficiency (simply because owl feathers) stats remain standard 30ft (9m) movement speed. Thanks in advance, and if anyone makes this i will thank you once more! have fun out there and try not to be come a mind flayer!

When I load my esp plugin into the game then the name "Orc" will show up as "sfds" at the Character Creation menu, as shown in the image below. Does anybody know why this is happening?

A mod that influences the 'Skill Advancement For Class' by only applying a big impact when selecting "Derp+" (Disadvantage) or "Derp-" (Advantage) In the respective menus. In other words, it's to new "dummy" dis/advantages added to the game, nothing more. They only influence (greatly) the 'Skill Advancement For Class' I'm fairly certain making two "empty" dis/advantages will be easy. In a way, i bet it's just copy/paste, then tweak, save, compile, upload. I just have little idea of where to even begin... Not as easy as just firing up the creation kit or some such, hehe. I'll, of course, poke around in the base game files (not the unity game) and see what i learn, but usually i don't get far, and left to post on a forum. Decided to post first, before looking, for once. (might be dumb of me to do...)

The game seems to get bothered in character creation if you have more than 27 attribute points. CheatEngine does not seem to find this blockage. First thought was, the game controls in the background the maximum display left on the screen does not seem so. Or the maximum display gets the value from where the game then also has the control running. As I said, CheatEngine does not seem to be able to find the control value. Is there any other way to approach this?

So with the ability to create characters across the whole gender spectrum, my partner got confused during character creation and ended up using a male body as a base and then customised it to look female. She's now realised that her character in-game has a male body and therefore masculine animations and clothing. She's several hours in now and is reluctant to restart the game just to create a new character that looks more like her. I'm aware that you can change certain aspects of your character in-game already, but would be great to see a mod that lets you modify everything available to you during character creation (specifically body type and face) after initial character creation.

I know others have posted questions about hair mods not working, but I haven't seen anyone with this exact problem. The hair does show up in cc, but it's always a solid yellowish color and floats in place/doesn't move with the character. I have both the .mmh and .msh files in my override folder and added the hair to my chargenmorph file. I do not have multiple chargenmorph files and only have the one hair mod. I do have other cc mods installed, though, but they all work fine. The hair is from More Hairstyles by kzelsama and I just grabbed the two files for the hair I wanted. Since the installation instructions say to extract the entire folder into your override folder, I'm wondering if there were any other files I needed to grab and didn't. I also tried installing a couple other hair mods to see if the problem was exclusive to this hair, and they had the same problem.

so I was wondering if anyone can create a mod to modify your character creations voice base off of sounds you can download online. like for instance if i was using a mod like Fantastical Multiverse and i chose a kobold. and i wanna put a custom voice base off a character from a youtube parody name suction cup man. would that be possible?

Could be anything from just new face/body textures to new hairstyles. Also the sliders still do not work ("fine tune"), maybe the devs will fix this at some point, but who knows. Don't know if this is possible, it would help a lot of character creation aficionados, though...

Hello! I am wondering if anyone can help me in figuring out with recreating Nym Orlith within the character creator? Specifically, I am trying to figure out her coloring and intensity of those colors, such as make-up and hair highlights. Maturity, freckle quantity and intensity would also be a benefit; race, face and hairstyle itself are already easy to figure out. Since I play on PS5, I wasn't sure if someone on PC had a modding tool that allows them to look at character information or could upload Nym as a present and be able to look at her information that way and share that here (written or screenshot)? Much appreciated and a preemptive thank you for anyone who can help! These are what I have come up with so far... Nym Orlith Race: Drow Subrace: Seladrine Body: 1/4 Face: 4/8 Skin: Dusk Tone 2 Eye Colour: 1/14 White 1 Eye Makeup Style: 8/17 Makeup 7 Eye Makeup Colour: 1/94 Black 90/0/100 Lip Tint: 14/77 Red Cold 3 40/30/70 Hairstyle: 78/87 Braided Bunches Hair Colour: 5/125 Blonde 5 Highlights: 19/65 Red 1 100 Greying: 22/143 Grey Brown 1 100 Piercings: 3/16 Lapis Studmuffin (though I know she has an extra earring near the tip of her left ear)

The game I'm coming over from, as soon as a few essential mods are added to this, has a variety of excellent makeup mods for female characters, NPCs, and followers. The lack thereof is a showstopper for me here. Over half the female NPCs and presets I've seen so far look ill. The kind of ill created by a lack of sunshine, vitamins, exercise, and too much artificial light exposure.
