  1. I know the whole Civil War line is riddled with bugs, and quite honestly, I wish it wasn't even in the game at all. I've had it break on me more times than I can count now, both on the playstation and on my PC. At least when I'm on my pc I can sometimes use the console to do something about it. I've found through testing that the sooner you book it through the CW questline, the fewer bugs there are, but there were some things I wanted to get done in my current playthrough, and now it appears I've shot myself in the foot by doing so. I've just finished the battle for Whiterun. That quest ended, and Liberation of Skyrim began, telling me to report to Ulfric. I've gone to Windhelm to do so, but he has no quest marker above his head, and no interest in letting me report in. I've gone away for almost a full in-game month, doing other random radiant quests and furthering myself along in my guilds, I come back to him and still nothing. I've tried beating him into submission, with no luck. There's no save early enough to go back to that wouldn't just be better for me to start a whole new file. So I'm asking for suggestions. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? Either with or without a console command, at this point I'm willing to try almost anything. =/
  2. Greetings. I am new to modding, and I am making a mod to fight the Thalmor (among other things). Now I am trying to hire Malborn (The elf who helps the PC in the Diplomatic Inmunity quest) as a caretaker of the Skyhaven Temple, so i wanna make Malborn go to the Skyhaven after completing the Thalmor Assasin quest. I found this script in the CK tutorial NPC.MoveTo(Location) but I don't know where to put it or how to fill the references (I tried in the stages tab, and filling it with an Alias, but it didn't work) so someone may help me please?
  3. I have thought in an interasanting quest mod that would be cool in Skyrim, something like God of War series. Of course gods' names will have to be changed, something like that: - Zeus / Lorkhan - Chronos / Akatosh - Hades / Arkay - Hera / Mara - Ares / Mehrunes Dagon - Hermes / Zenithar - Athena / Julianos - Eleos / Stendarr - Aphrodite / Dibella - Hercules or Perseus / Talos - Apolo / Azura - Artemis / Hircine - Dionysos / Sheogorath And the story could be something like: Lorkhan, the forgotten god, have returned, and he want revenge from Akatosh for have taken your position among the another gods. This battle causes a civil war among the divines and daedric princes, and the player have to choose whose side are he on But could be too something like: After dragons and the civil war, Mehrunes have become stronger than ever, and now he want revenge and the dominion of Tamriel I personally prefer so much the first. So many weapons and armors could be added, and this would be the best mod ever!
  4. Okay whilst this sounds like a some-what boring mod request, many Skyrim players as well as myself need someone who can fix a huge (but simple) bug the USSEP does not want to fix. (Apparently because it may be caused from a modded game makes it okay to dismiss such a common bug). Let's be real: More people play Skyrim with mods than don't. Which is why it's unacceptable to deny giving this fix a shot. The Message to Whiterun glitch I'm talking about can be found on forum to forum across the internet, and is a game breaker. It's the last objective known as: Report to Legate Quentin Cipius. Look it up if you don't believe how many people have experienced this bug and from how long ago its been around. And as soon as you get it in most cases it is un-fixable, making the civil war quest line impossible to progress. When trying to speak with the Legate, he only returns with default guard dialogue, instead of giving you orders to continue to battle and beginning the new quest Battle for Whiterun. There are a number of potential fixes that have worked for some including whiping the bounty, killing Legate Cipius and reviving him (or downing him and talking to him as he gets up) or even leaving the area and waiting then returning. But for most of us these are to no avail. The code to fix this may be as simple as something like forcing the game to check your objective status ( I'm no modder or very good programmer so this probably isn't helpful at all) But if this has sparked a lightbulb for anyone I urge you to give hope to the lost causes who only wished to continue on their Imperial journey through Skyrim. Oh, and please upload this to Xbox ONE mods, this is where I know at least two other people need the fix as well. Contact info: [email protected]
  5. This is going to be the main base of operations for W.A.R.M. (War in America Realism Mod). A total conversion mod for Fallout 4, this mod aims to marry the fantastic open-world RPG style of Bethesda games with a realistic, near-future setting. It will also attempt to deliver a more realistic, gritty combat feel and challenge players mentally and strategically more than their ability to mash buttons, creating an extremely difficult game play experience. In theory, this mod will be a conglomeration of many smaller, individually released mods and tweaks but all in one big package to create the ultimate immersion in the W.A.R.M. experience. Currently, there is very little else to show besides simply rough ideas and a list of features that will hopefully take form over time. This is an extremely ambitious project and will take years to complete. I am going to update this topic whenever there is progress to mention or if new ideas pop up as it goes. As mentioned, this project is hopefully going to be a conglomerate of many smaller mods which I truly hope will come borrowed with permission from the community and if not, created by me from scratch and released separately as well. If you want to skip all of the lore and jump right to it, feel free to scroll right down to the section titled "Features". So far, here is what this mod plans to be: Note: As I will be editing this post repeatedly to include the most up to date changes in ideas and achievements, I will be putting an asterisk (*) next to anything new that has been added in since the last edit and highlighting it in yellow. This should make it easier for any interested visitors and myself to identify recent changes. When I visit again to edit the post with newer ideas, I will delete the old asterisk and only leave the newest ones for each visit (probably each week). The Story: The year is 2028. After decades of polarizing American political parties engaging in a massive tug of war over control of the presidency, senate and congress, the nation has witnessed a departure into its own decline. While the nation population divides deeper into the grips of only 2 parties, politics become increasingly monetized and government impose policies favorable solely to global corporations. After two extremely controversial presidential administrations, the median household income of the average American drops to the lowest rate since the 1930's great depression (accounting for inflation). Unemployment and poverty rates skyrocket. GDP dwindles resulting in increasing national debt. Last-ditch "fiscal austerity measures" are passed by Congress to stem the gushing wound that is the U.S. economy. These austerity measures include massive budget cuts to education, welfare and military spending across the board. The passage of these laws coincide with a sensational scandal involving the President, and tension reaches a boilng point. Riots spread like wildfire and light up the map across the U.S. in the inner cities of NY, LA, Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia and many more. Looting and violence in these riots quickly prove to be too much to handle for local law enforcement agencies. U.S. Army National Guard units are dispatched to hot spots in an effort to return the rule of law and settle the situation. After an accident involving lethal munitions being mistakenly used by troops on a protest march, groups of civilians begin arming themselves. Some of these groups join into anti-government secession movements and begin fighting the U.S. military with guerrilla tactics and begin an insurgency. Congress enacts a measure replacing National Guard units with regular, active duty military regiments deployed on domestic soil with a clear mission; impose martial law and neutralize the threat of any persons deemed "domestic terrorists". More frighteningly, foreign governments begin to see an opportunity within the anarchy and officially recognize the sovereignty of certain separatist groups. These foreign nations then use this as a pretext to invade the U.S. mainland and support the separatists. Due to the close proximity of these military units to large civilian centers in U.S. cities, nuclear munitions are not an option. As an officer in the U.S. Army's 183rd Airborne Division, you are relieving the current commander of a company of soldiers upon your arrival in the AO. On its last deployment, the unit moved into occupy a small city where rioters and separatists created a stronghold. Your troops experienced heavy resistance resulting in high casualty rates, specifically high numbers of MIA. Intelligence suggests that this is due to the company's FOB (forward operating base) being overrun and several squads at OP's (Forward Outposts) being cut-off and scattered in the area. Orders: Your primary objectives, effective immediately, are to rendezvous with any remaining troops in the AO at a pre-designated rally point, set up a suitable defensive position, reconnect with cut-off OPs and occupy the city awaiting further orders. Intel suggests OPFOR will consist of separatist domestic terror groups, known criminal gangs, paid foreign fighters (international mercenary groups), and foreign military regulars. BLUFOR will consist of friendly military law enforcement units and non-combatant civilian refugees. Standard Rules of Engagement apply and in accordance with international conventions, you are to give asylum to the best of your ability to any persons seeking refuge from the combat within the AO. Heavy assets immediately allocated to your disposal include CAS (close air support) including 2,000lb JDAMs from A-10 Warthogs and supply drops containing food, weapons and ammunition from a CH-43 helicopter. Infantry assets within your company will consist of small arms, light machine guns, infantry level anti tank rockets, and 60mm mortars. Any other assets scavenged from the battlefield are free to use. Features: (Realism and Immersion): - Damage multipliers go way up. No more bullet sponges. A single shot to an unprotected area is going to do some damage if not put you out of the fight. -Body Armor values go way up. Current SAPI plates worn by military can stop a round from an AK-47 as close as 15 ft away. Plate carrier vests protecting only your center mass will do their job. -All weaponry in the vanilla game will be replaced and supplemented by real world weapons and gear and distributed appropriately (U.S. Army will primarily use M4's) -Fast travel will not be possible. (Hopefully this will be able to be balanced by useable vehicles such as Humvee's) -The number of followers you may choose to have will be increased to 3 to simulate a 4-man long range reconnaissance patrol. Also the pool of your potential followers will come from a finite number of NCOs("Non-Commissioned Officers" <- usually Sergeants) special NPCs. -Carrying weight will be lowered to a more realistic level, and if possible the number of items regardless of weight will be limited. This will force the player to prioritize during scavenging runs. -CH43 or UH60 models will replace the vertibird (Setting): -Specific location TBD -AO will be similar to the vanilla map and will consist of a small city surrounded by rural residential areas with natural fixtures such as river(s) and forest(s). -The heart of the city will appear to be consistent with a city that has undergone areas of heavy rioting, looting and intense combat and sections that have miraculously been spared. (Ammunition) *12 ga. 00 Buckshot *12 ga. Birdshot *12 ga. Slug *9x19mm Parabellum *.45 cal. ACP *.22 LR *5.56x45mm NATO *7.62x51mm NATO *7.62x39mm AK *5.45x39mm AK -Ammo is not craftable and must either be scavenged, received from supply drops or bought from Quartermasters at your FOB and OPs. -Ammo will quickly become a scarce commodity and must be strategically supplied to your troops as they expend it during firefights. -Ammo types will be realistic and correspond true to life with the weapons. (e.g. M4s, M16s and M249s all use 5.56mm NATO rounds. AKs all use 7.62x39mm. Specialty weapons such as Sniper rifles may use .300 WinMag or .338 Lapua and therefore ammo will be much harder to find for it.) -Infantry level anti tank rockets such as the M136 Aka AT4 and M72 LAW (specifically excluding RPG7s) cannot be easily reloaded in real life and are therefore dropped after a single use in-game. (Settlements): -One main settlement becomes your FOB and primary base. -Smaller settlements become your outlying OPs and must be reconnected to the FOB through supply lines. - "Patrol Squads" will replace Provisioners -Vendors within settlements such as traders and doctors will replaced with Quartermasters or Cooks, etc. -Settlers spawning to join your main settlement, the FOB (or rally point) will exclusively be formerly MIA U.S. soldiers, wandering back to rejoin their unit at the rally. Friendly troops will not spawn anywhere else, forcing you to distribute your troops to your OPs wisely. -Settlers spawning at outlying OPs will be civilian refugees which will need to be provided for (food, water, beds) and can be defended either by your troops garrisoned at the OP or by arming the refugees. -New defensive settlement building pieces such as small sandbags fighting positions with mountable machine guns and 60mm mortars will replace the vanilla sentry platforms and artillery pieces respectively. -Supply Crates (containers) periodically dropped by helicopter at your FOB will generate minimal Food and Water valued for your settlements and will always contain some of the following items: ammunition, MREs (food), and medical supplies. They will also contain a certain number of random items ranging from specialty ammo to building supplies. -Once constructed, "Cook" vendors and "Mess Hall" structure will permanently generate Food and Water value to the settlement. -"Comms Center" model of computer and radio equipment will replace the Vanilla Workbench. -FOB & OPs can be attacked by parties of any hostile faction including separatists, foreign military, gang-bangers, etc. (Quests): -new lore-friendly quests will be generated by talking to NPCs, entering specific zones and generated by overhearing conversations. (Weapons): -U.S. M4A1 Beretta M9 M249 M240B DMR M24 Sniper Weapon System AT4 rocket -Separatist *Civilian AR-15 (Semi Auto Only) Mossberg 500 shotgun Remington 870 shotgun Remington 700 rifle SKS semi-auto rifle S&W .38 revolver Glock 17 pistol *Ruger 10/22 .22LR rifle -OPFOR AK47 AK74 AKS74u carbine RPK light machine gun PKM machine gun SVD Dragunov RPG7 *Weapon modifications will be found on NPC's weapons as they will spawn with random variations, as well as throughout the game world as whole mods in boxes. High end modifications such as scopes and internal upgrades cannot be "crafted" from random scrap. This is to aid realism as it would be nearly impossible for someone to just make a working precision firearm optic out of random trash. It will also add a sort of value to the modifications that the player will come across, as they cannot be as readily replaced. Armors: Reskin of combat helmet to resemble kevlar helmet with camo cloth cover *MOLLE plate carrier vests. A civilian version with no MOLLE pouches, just the armor as well as a US Army version with triple mag pouches on front, med bag and utility pouch on sides and a hydration system on back. BDU varients of pants and 8" combat boots with either BDU jacket or combat shirt (both clean and dirty variants) Various civilian attire (jeans, t shirts, hoodies, winter coats, etc. *Music: So, I personally grow very bored of the repetitious "wander" music that Bethesda generally puts on an hour or so loop. I've made music mods in the past for Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, and Fallout 3 but never released them for public use due to the work that would have been involved to convert mp3's to .ogg's and then somehow make dozens of these music files .esp package-friendly. Not to mention that all of the music was copyrighted commercial music. That being said, I think it would do well to actually include a music change into this suite. Vanilla FO4 music won't really go with the vibe of a non-apocalyptic, non-fallout universe. Therefore, I am also beginning a search for royalty-free music files to include into the mod, trying to find a middle ground between the genres that would be agreeable to a variety of situations in the game. Tough. The struggle iz real. Hopefully this mod project will make the game much more realistic and create a tougher, more strategic experience. I really enjoy games that are challenging mentally and not just a button-mashing crap shoot. In any case, I hope this will be as fun for others as it will be for me. Of course, if anyone sees this and wishes to lend a hand, that is very welcome. Even constructive criticism will be appreciated, especially if someone spots a major issue in the plan of this mod. I'm looking for feedback and collaboration, Any help is good help!
  6. In my playthroughs I never really have any empathy for either side. Either the Jarl's are inept, or they are corrupt. The only exception is Balgruuf. He's decisive, willing to fight, and in Ulfric's words, "A true Nord" He alone out of everyone else involved in the Civil War quests shows not just those virtues, but any at all. Riften - Inept or corrupt. Windhemlm - ahole, or non-entity. Markarth - non-entities. Solitude - inept or corrupt. Dawnstar - Who cares? Falkreath - inept or paranoid. Winterhold - doesn't matter. Morthal - nobody cares. I'm not even sure which side Morthal's on. So, I don't want to side with either side in the Civil War. I'm asking if it is possible for someone to make a mod that puts the Dragonborn on Balgruuf's side? I was thinking that if Season Unending happens, then the player could make a statement to Balgruuf that they stand with him. Then all of the Civil War quests from both sides would need to be completed. Maybe Balgruuf could take the throne outright, or marry Elisif. Maybe let her rule, and return to Whiterun. I don't know if any of this is possible, I just switched over to the pc version of the game from the 360. I've just seen so many great mods, I thought I'd ask if this could be done. I'm just at the stage of using the ck to put a chest of stolen goods in the ragged flagon to make the thieves guild jobs easy. Didn't work. Still learning.
  7. Need for a Civil War repairs mod that will return Whiterun, Winterhold, and Solitude to their pre-war appearance after the Civil War quest has ended.
  8. I'm going to do a race of the Civil War questline with a friend; I want to play on the Stormcloak side and he on the Imperial side. Would this give an unfair advantage to either of us? Does anyone know if they take equally long time to complete?
  9. So I'm on the quest Reunification of Skyrim, and when I talk to Tulius he will promote me to quaestor and give me a weapon. After that, the conversation stops there's no dialogue option to resume. One suspicion I have is the Civil War Overhaul, but when I uninstall that mod the problem persists.
  10. I have this strange phenomenon occurring in Riften, there is constant sound effects,as if a huge, major, the mother of all battle is going on right outside the walls.. there is noone there though,I use Open cities and civil war overhaul could any of those be the cause??.. it is quite annoying,I would be able to accept it if,at least,i could go outside and see the buggers having it out but, just sounds of battle, but nobody there.. anyone else experiencing this?
  11. So I am currently starting another play through of Skyrim and I wanted to install the Civil War Overhaul mod, but when I went to the nexus page it has been removed for some reason. If someone has the mod could you please send it to me in a Dropbox or something similar because I really want this mod, and can someone explain why it was taken down?
  12. Can somebody please make a mod that replaces the penitus oculatus with stormcloak soldiers if you win the civil war for them? It's a bit immersion breaking if I destroyed the dark brotherhood and sided with the stormcloaks, now i got these empire guards stuck in dragon bridge
  13. This is a simple request. When you search Nexus there´s a retex of every armor, even armors that are garbage anyway, except for one, so please, someone make a good re texture of the Tullius´ Armor. It´s an awesome armor and I can´t understand how no one has made a good retex of it. Nothing insane, no new elements added to it, just the same armor but with a better texture. I would appreciate it so much.
  14. Would anyone happen to know if it would be simple to add something akin to dog tags (whether they be rank insignias or even fingers) to generic stormcloak and legion soldiers? We'd also need an npc on each side to take said tags and give the player gold in exchange. I feel like either side would happily pay a capable mercenary to thin out the enemy ranks, not a lot, but something. Maybe 35g per stormcloak, 25g per legionnaire, 70g per Thalmor? I was trying to think of numbers not too outrageous, since in vanilla a Jarl would give you 100g for a bandit chief.
  15. i dont know how simple this idea would be, but i have a cool idea. there should be a mod where the 2 factions, the imperials and stormcloaks should have their own separate currencies. something like imperial septims which can only be used at imperial cities, stormcloak septims which work only at storncloak cities. that would be neat
  16. This is an idea I have in my head but really can't do anything with. I kinda feel that the resentment between the Stormcloaks and Imps is the Thalmor. I have been pokeing about on this site and can't find a mod that will stop the war before it escalates and I kinda want to throw this out to anyone that will do it a mod that will allow you to become the Dragonborn Empror of the new age. The only way for the quest is to visit the Greybeards during the Main Questline or rather during the quest "Season Unending." and while the arguements go on you can during a talk between General Tullias and Ulfric choose a phrase that says "I am the Dragonborn Emperor." thus starting a questline to overthrow the old Emperor unless you have killed him during the Dark Brotherhood Story Line. Then you can look at the Thalmor that is with Tullias and tell her to leave and never return to skyrim or tell her the White Gold Concordat will b redone to suit the people. That is just me though lol I don't like to fight too much but being a DB Emperor sounds kinda cool to me and also pissing the Thalmor off is a plus cause they think they are better than everyone else in Skyrim. If anyone uses this idea plz give me my props is all I ask at least a mention to who the idea came from if nothing more. Thnx.
  17. I have two scripting errors that I cannot for the life of me seem to solve. Being a newbie, I believe these are self-inflicted. Number One: Map Flag pins script glitch. Flag pins missing and never update...just an empty blank where flag pin should be. I have finished the Skyrim Civil War for the Imperials and I seem to be missing the flag pins for Fort Dunstad (Retaking the Pale) and Fort Greenwall (Retaking the Rift). Stormcloak Civil War quests have the same problem...a flag pin or two missing...usually Fort Hraggstad and Fort Sungard...sometime just Fort Hraggstad. Any ideas? Number Two: Player Animation...hands tied behind back rather than in the front as they should be. Now this is my fault...for going to LoversLab website. I wanted Freyane...the brunette version of Kofman77's Rosa Round-Bottom and I'm sure I must've downloaded something that messed up my animations...but I have no idea where to even begin looking. I like taking screenshots and I'm kind of a perfectionist....I know, not exactly an endearing quality. I just want my maps and animations to look perfect, is all. I thank you all in advance for reading this and trying to help me out.
  18. How does one go about advancing the Civil War quest Battle for Whiterun with the console? My game is bugged where at the end of Message to Whiterun, I return to Balgruf and then am instructed to talk to Legate Cipius, however Cipius will never talk to me. I can complete the quest with the console, but then Battle for Whiterun never starts. The problem is, Battle for Whiterun uses the blanket CWSiegeObj quest id so I need to know what the additional parameters are to get things moving again. Also, I'm not currently using CWO.
  19. I wish there was a third civil war option, so I propose that you could make your own civil war faction called the Dragon Knights or something. You would be based in a sub-hold of Whiterun hold near Rorikstead called Dovah Hold. There you as the Dragonborn will lead a campaign to unite skyrim under the banner of the Dovahkiin. This way you will never have to attack Whiterun. Balgruf would-be your chief supporter, and you would expand your territory from there. Besides the conquering, each hold will have a side quest to strengthen your army. For instance when you capture The Reach your army will have dwarven armor and weaponry, or when you capture Winterhold your army will be assisted by magi. When you finally unite all holds, you will be crowned high king, and rule from Dovah Hold.
  20. It doesn't look like I will be getting a reply from the moderators of USLEEP so I post here hoping to get some solutions. First of all, I really do like the unofficial patches and appreciate the creators for the boat load of the bugs/glitches that they have fixed. I've started using USKP and other unofficial patches for DLCs not very long ago and recently changed to USLEEP. I know for the fact that in vanilla Skyrim, that the post-Civil War camps do not respawn the garrison of the either sides of the war after they have been cleared out. (The ones that are scattered around the nine holds; e.g. Winterhold Stormcloak camp, Rift Stormcloak camp etc.) After I've started using the unofficial patches, I've noticed that after spending a few days in game, garrison in the military camps started to respawn. (Without their leaders of course, who were made non-essential in the unofficial patches after finishing off the Civil War questline) The camps were completely cleared of the soldiers including the wounded and horses but they just kept on respawning after waiting a few days like any other common bandit occupied places would. I've scrolled through the USLEEP changelogs but I haven't found anything that makes change on that matter and I don't know if the change was made deliberately or just a bug/glitch. So, the question is, is there anyway I can disable the garrison respawn in the military camps that have been cleared out after finishing the Civil War questline? If there's anyone who knows how to, I would be happy to make the changes myself to my own game. Thanks in advance
  21. I've been looking for a mod that brings an end to the civil war by not joining either side, and just killing the main characters responsible. Having a quest that gets you to dispatch Tullius, Ulfric, and Elenwen, as well as driving the Thalmor out of Skyrim (to at least lick their wounds). I've been looking all over for such a mod and I don't think it exists. And I've browsed through several pages of the forums and couldn't find a similar request. If anyone may be interested in this, please reply or send me a PM. Thank you for your consideration.
  22. This is yet another topic dealing with the different ethnics of the two sides in the civil war since its just so fun to explore them. I'll try to keep this as neither for or against one side, but rather brings up an important point about are friend Hadvar. Eventually he does help you out in escaping Helgen after initially helping Ralof and if you escape together the two of you become best buddies. I know after you follow him to Riverwood he admits his mistake and says you shouldn't have been on the cart. Fine and dandy. However when you first step off the cart and he's going through the names on the list he acknowledges that you aren't on it and brings the topic to his superior. She basically says screw the list and sends you to be executed anyway. Hadvar seems to recognize this as something that's a breach in the Empire's military protocol but neither he nor General Tullius a few meters away say anything. In fact he recognizes he's ending someone innocent to die and apologies for it. He also claims they could even find out where your from given the time since he says your body will be sent back to your homeland, implying (to me anyway) it would be sent back to whatever family you have. For the debate I want to know what you think. Was Hadvar justifiable in this instance to let an innocent person go to the block? Or is he kind of a dick? Moreover what's General Tullius doing when this is going on, is he just ignoring this?
  23. When you're in the quest Season Unending, I think it'd be interesting if you could negotiate a truce to completely end the Civil War, not just temporarily.
  24. Ok so I decided to let go of my dark side and join the Dominion. I already downloaded several mods that add Thalmor companions and one that actually allows you to join them. The character is an Imperial who works for the Thalmor like Gissur who was also a human who worked for them. I have a mod that adds little shrines of Talos and I routinely search through people houses to see if I can find a Talos shrine and if I do I execute them all. I want more ideas to role-play as Thalmor douche in Skyrim, like what could I do help the experience, what side in the civil war should I join, etc.
