  1. Is it possible to add a condition to the NPC's combat logic? Specifically, to prevent an unarmed NPC from searching and using a dropped weapon if they know a bound weapon spell. The condition itself should be simple but I cannot find which package to modify or if it is related to a package. Any help, tips, or keywords for research would be greatly appreciated. The few leads found so far are informative, yet irrelevant.

  3. I've been modding Skyrim for a good six years now and it's never been perfect, not once, and I can stomach one or two crashes a day since I'm pretty anal about saving. Sadly I've crashed 3 times today and these crashes have only been happening in combat right before I land a hit which leads to be believe something may be wrong. I honestly think it might be Vortex and how it often gets confused and asks me 'Does Mod A load after or before Mod B?' despite some of them having nothing in common. My Skyrim isn't heavily modded either. No big graphic overhauls, just immersion mods and some fun little bits and pieces. The biggest I have is Beyond Skyrim: Bruma. I do have character model touchups which are RS Children and Total Character Makeover as well. Each crash has also happened right before an attack hit. Here's what I was doing, it's quite precise...Two times while fighting wolves in Whiterun Hold (Arrow Shot at Greenspring Hollow and Axe hit near Redoran's Retreat), once while fighting a vampire Movarth's Lair (Arrow Shot) and once in Ustengrav while fighting some Draugr not long after the Bandit V Necromancers (Dawnbreaker hit). Two of these crashes involved fire and melee and two involved a simple unenchanted arrow shot. It's done nothing for me so far anyway as I like gear progression after all. Any help and suggestions would be incredibly helpful!

  5. Hi, I don't know if it is just Apocalypse Magic or even the base game spells, but I don't think expert and master level destruction spells would be invoked against low level targets by NPCs. Maybe a mod could be created to classify the standard set of animal opponents like spells and NPCs would choose spells up to one class higher to attack them. Also, some of the pre-combat threatening and post-combat victory dialog by NPCs against these furry, non-sentient enemies sounds superfluous and idiotic.
  6. Close combat range/reach for weapons and combat animations need to be moded, Player villagers are way too weak vs bandits /raids+ they dont react help guards ..even if they flagged as reserve <<<need fix for that!

  8. Hi. Like the title said i expierience this problem and i can't wrap my head around this. While entering fight with hostile NPCS they just simply fade in and out thier healthbar is still there i can hear them and they still can interact with world like deal damage and stuff sometimes its just like very quick fading sometimes they fade for longer time like 5-10 secs. I searched whole internet for solutions but nobody have this problem so i ask somebody for help. I can answer any questions and provide more info. In case somebody asks for my pc specs RTX 4060 32gb ram Skyrim is on nvme ssd disk AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core So i kinda exclude my pc not being able to handle skyrim i ran mostly 60fps exterior 100+ interior.
  9. I've seen walls of people with the phrase "Help! My crippled limbs are stuck even when I use stimpaks!" This is not my problem, rather, almost the inverse. I can't seem to find clear wording but the implication is that a crippled limb will stay that way until I apply a stimpak, correct? This seems a solid penalty for breaking your leg, sure. FO3 worked like that, so it was what I expected here. My limbs will all de-cripple within 10-ish seconds and return to healing normally, much like in FO3 when I earned the limb regeneration perk (but that was after massive rad exposure). I do not have this perk. I've been playing for long enough to make it out of Fridge 111 and that's about it. I had no mods installed, this has been a thing since vanilla install. Changing game difficulty (I like survival) has had no impact on this. I just recover really darned fast. Are limbs supposed to work like that? Is this a bug? I have never felt any penalty from crippled limbs as a result of how quickly they resolve, and I find it way too easy knowing I can literally walk it off when I break my entire body.

Hello, not sure if requests for mods are accepted here but essentially, one mod I've taken a liking to is DServant's Combat Gameplay Overhaul, which adds things like mid-air attacks, proceduel leaning and dodging. Now the issue I have with this mod is from an animation standpoint, it's distractingly janky at points. This is most true when jumping, where a landing animation with initinate before your character actually does so. To demonstrate, I put together this video. As you can see, jumping appears to be rather glitchy, which I'd assume is caused by the aid-air attack feature. Basically, I guess all I'd want is for someone to make a version of the mod where this animation glitch is fixed, or at least cut out the part that is apparently causing it so only the proceduel leaning and dodging remain, because I've never really been able to find a dodge mod that matches CGO in terms of animation fluency or not needing a bunch of other mods to install. Apologies if this request is too much for someone to take on, but I just thought I'd ask is all.
  11. May be impossible with how the game is built but the 5e ability to hold an action. Maybe not rules as written but more of a be able to select a different position in the initiative order.
  12. Im wondering if anyone is willing to help me add some new abilities to a "thalmor assassin" npc. I wanted to implement a special npc with unique abilities to make some fight a bit more interesting instead of damage sponges. As i started to animate on 3ds max i created 2 animations: A backflip and a jump into the air with a attack landing slash. I wonder if it is possible to make it so that a custom npc would backflip from power attacks and leave a magic rune on the ground as a sneaky trap, and also implementing that jump attack with the attack landing. I was thinking of the npc teleporting and then land next to the player to confuse the player. All i can help with is the animation for custom attack and ideas, hopefully someone wants to help me with this because i think skyrim lacks of interesting npc abilities. Most of the time we only see reskins of enemies and a change of stats.
  13. Hello, I'm sorry if anyone posted something like this before, or if there already is a mod for this. Let me give you a little background about this idea. I want to play a mage and I want it to be epic. However, being a mage without armor, makes me very vulnerable to physical damage. Also, I want to make combat as dynamic as it can get, not just stats spamming. That is why I was thinking about adding some good dodge for mage characters. I have found TK Dodge Roll and I currently use it. However, I want something more epic. What I have in mind is an ability. This ability, when activated will basically make the character ethereal for 1 second. Cooldown can be something like 5 seconds. Special effects (explosion like) around the caster would be great as well. I think it would be epic to basically ethereal dodge heavy attacks and do stuff like that. Its not overpowered, it just adds up to the epicness and brings more skill to the combat mechanics. Please tell me what do you think about this. I would appreciate any comments and opinions. If anyone would create mod like this, I would be more than grateful! I guess its not too hard to create, since there is everything already in the game (ethereal effects and animations).
  14. Hey everyone. I was just wondering if its possible to do the above by tinkering with the creation kit. The idea is to slightly nerf power attacks based on your total stamina. Full damage at 100% stamina -15%damage at 70% stamina -25%damage at 50% stamina -30%damage at 35% stamina

Guys, for the lif of me, I couldn't find a mod that makes regular hits stagger, power attacks ragdolls, as well as dragon and giant hits that sends you flying (but doesnt kill). i've tried every major and minor combat mods out there, but they usually have these features separated, or are incompatible with each other, or involve a complicated poise mechanics.So, Can anybody make this? or point me a mod that does? OR tell where to get started on modding combat stagger and ragdolls? i'm trying to reverse engineer the skills necessary to make this mod, I supose i'll need learn papyrus, learn how to publish the mod, but i cant find any tutorials specifically for combat, and for these particular features.

Yea so not really sure if there's a console command for disabling this or if there is a mod (SSE) / But I'm wanting to get rid of the slow motion thing that happens during combat sometimes, where it zooms in on your last "killing blow" move. Being left stuck out of control of my character and more. If anyone can quickly link me or give me a command that I would disable it that would be awesome, thanks in advance!
  17. Hello, this is my first time posting here and i need a little bit of help. Im currently making a custom music mod for different areas in the game and different combat music that play depending on the enemy type you face, such as animal, vampire or normal npcs etc. Is there a way to make to trigger music when facing an opponent that has a much higher threat value than the player? Such as a bandit Cheif or vampire master etc. It would be cool to add in "Npcs miniboss" or "vampire boss" Is there any reason to use the target "creature"? It seems to mix with any kind of enemy in the game.
  18. In the original Fallout games Action Points have a significant role in combat, yet in the first-person Fallout games AP has a reduced function. AP merely controls how often you can use VATS, whereas before it controlled the entire flow of combat. What I'm suggesting is a mod that changes AP to play a more central role in combat. Here's a rough outline of what I'm proposing: Action Points would function like Stamina/Fatigue in The Elder Scrolls. Your total AP is determined by your Agility while your rate of AP recovery is determined by your Endurance. Every combat action (firing, striking, swinging, throwing) drains AP. How much AP is drained is determined by the damage output of the attack and your combat skill level. Once your AP is reduced to zero your skill in combat is significantly reduced. Your accuracy with firearms is decreased and your damage output with melee weapons is much lower. This would increase character specialization and therefore role-playing, because using a combat skill you aren't trained in would be very punishing. VATS would still be useful as a targeting tool, though it would drain twice as much AP as normal combat. Chems and recipes that restore AP could be more common to compensate for its increased importance. What do you think? If anybody is interested but doesn't care to create this mod I'd really appreciate advice on how to get started myself!
  19. After searching I found several mods removing profanity. However what I would like to see is a mod adding profanity to the player's dialogue when injured. Maybe your character isn't so chill about being shot in the leg. A mod that would add a small chance of them swearing when crippled or receiving a lot of damage. Maybe it goes with the "pained grunt" audio. I was mostly thinking for combat, but I guess it applies too if you got injured from a trap or fell from a great height. I also saw the combat demo video for Player Comments (gargorias). It's nice work. But for some character styles it sounds too confident and cool. thoughts, ideas. happy New Year!

Welcome to my Mod Request! _\ The Tournament of Tamriel /_ Among all the chaos of civil war and dying kings and dragons taking flight Skyrim could do with some relaxing blood sports and friendly competition along with an opportunity to get some nice loot and fair rewards I have seen a few arena mods like pitfighter and beggers brawl arena and they are good mods but they are not Tournaments , there is a massive potential for minigames in Skyrim especially a tournament so here is my request, please read past the first bit as its mostly what those other mods do but the interesting stuff is further down :wink: Unmounted Melee and Ranged Events - bare knuckle combat (not just punch for punch, but like MMA, arms up blocking ability and maybe some grappling moves having to perform a successful grabbing of the opponent and and then your normal attack key will randomize between a few grappling moves like Kneeing, Headbutt, or Throw to ground. - 2 handed weapons only - 1 handed weapons only - Mixed weapons (anything goes including bows) - Archery, both targets and player vs NPCs Mounted Events - Jousting *Specially made lances and armor for this event will be needed* - Mounted battles, with special regalia for teams horses and unique armor for horses - Horse racing, with a straight track with hurdles maybe to make it a bit more interesting and/or a circular or oval shape track with traps to navigate *this will require making horse speeds differ and generally speed them up* - Mounted archery, both targets and player vs NPC. This could also be vs death sentenced prisoners let loose on foot in the woods and each one you kill is a point to you, which brings me to my next event . . Hunting Events - Hunting Animals, each animal will have a different number of points attached to them with a time limit for the hunt, hunts will happen in mornings or evenings after or before other events. - Hunting Monsters/bandits/enemies, basically the same as animals but with higher danger level, these hunts will only happen at night - Hunting objects, small side quests with time limits to find objects ranging from weapons to ingredients - Avoid being Hunted, a group of opposing team members will try find you in an area/space and you must avoid them for certain time, if found the one who found you got the point if you avoid detection you gain the point *NPC AI will need to be enhanced/tweaked for this* Feats of Strength Events - Log/Boulder Chucking, take turns to chuck a log then distance gets tallied - Running the Gauntlet, series of traps and obstacles maybe in a maze form with fake passages leading nowhere or taking you in a circle back to where you started, with a timer and only one way out, with a team version where you would need to command your team member to do certain tasks to succeed *Mite have to disable map access temporarily for this* - Test of Bravery, fight a Bear or wolf or Sabre cat unarmed and more hard core beasts that will require weapons like giant spiders and trolls, each with different points the longer you live the higher your score, if you kill it you get higher score, if you kill it quickly even higher score - Avoid the Arrows, positioned NPCs will be loosing arrows at you from a distance, stay alive as long as possible - Open Bar, is a drinking contest involving mead, whine or if you really hard core see if you can handle your Skooma among the big dogs Teams/factions - Team for every Province of Tamriel - Teams consist of 5 NPCs with one Team leader (there are the ones that will give side quests) - Teams enroll their best candidates for each Event automatically - Team setup, could either be fixed Factions with set NPCs with fixed stats or random Teams every time with Random Npcs with Random stats or a mixture of the two some how. - Join Team, should be able to join any of the exsisting teams. - Create Team, with followers or by quickly selecting team members from a list of preset or pre-generated classes (like Tank, Stealth, DPS or ranged. . or magic, though as you might have noticed im not placing much emphasis on magic here, trying to keep it blood, steel and honor) - 1 vs 1 where it makes sense - Team vs Team where it makes sense - Take turns where it makes sense (like log chucking) - FFA where it makes sense (like some melee and mounted events) Quests - Secure position in upcoming Tournament Quest, involving you to be made aware of the Tournament and to ensure that you partake in it (repeatable quest so that you can trigger the tournament again) - Quests for each faction or team, depending on which you join or if you create your own (not repeatable once done) - The Feast of the Festival Quest, like a banquet where all the participants collect their winnings and settle bets as well as celebrate together. - Season is Finished and NPCs will no open to trade with their winnings and loot, depending on your relationship with the NPCs afterwards they can either become companions or enemies, this will reset wen the new Tournament starts and you have a chance to forge new friendships and burn old bridges (repeatable as this will happen at the end of every tournament) Tournament Season - The Season should be at least a Skyrim month maybe longer - During the Season you can partake in any of the Events as many times as you please - Events availability differ depending on time of day main Events happen during peak midday hours and secondary Events happen in the mornings sometimes vary early and others in the evenings sometimes vary late - Individual Events will give a reward depending on how well you did directly after the Event - All the Events scores will be taken into account at the end of the season - Betting will be allowed for all Events by you or by the other teams members and the spectators, *everyone s bets could be placed automatically except the players or their could be some crude AI that actually uses stats to calculate bets to a differing degree of accuracy on the NPCs part* _\ So the cycle continues . . just like Valhalla! /_
  22. I took some time researching and didn't find any mods that acomplish what i'm looking for. The basic: Make people fear travelling at night. Every creature besides humans have a great damage/HP increase at night, something like BDO but more challenging. The Improvement: Add some new night creatures even more overpower, took this idea from FFXV. Any chances of making this possible? Is it possible at all? Thanks for your time.
  23. Okay I've look through all the ammo mods and I didn't find any that did what I want. If I missed one please let me know. I think all the ammo weight mods apply only to Survival mode. I want a mod that gives all ammo, stimpacks, and RadAway some kind of weight in NON-survival games. Even if it's simply the weight they have in survival mode. I like a lot of what survival does. It was great for about 2 full play throughs (and about 3 failed characters because the builds were just BAD for survival) but it takes too damn long to play on every character. I just don't have the time IRL to walk everywhere in game and I don't want to have to side with BoS every time I play just for the sake of quicker travel (plus that recently started to bug become bugged where the Vertibird takes off and lands immediately without me giving any kind of command to land). I'd hoped siding with the Institute would let me get around that with the teleportation but it only lets you IN from anywhere you still have to walk from CIT when you leave. Anyway rant done. If I missed a mod let me know. If someone would be willing to make one I'd be forever grateful. If I knew ANYTHING about modding I'd try to do it (with the absolute lack of knowledge I can only hope it's a simple stat change mod). Anyway Thanks.

So i have really anoying animation bug going on wich i didnt have before. it happened after installing some other animation mods. i wasnt able to fix it neither with loot, wryebash, or NMM by deinstallign all the animation mods. so the thing is: when im walking left or right (while in combat) while wielding one sword or in the left with a shield, Dualwield or unarmed my charakter looks like he is running veryfast but in the pace of walking (The Animation looks like running ridiculously fast) only applies when moving left or right (A and D key) HOWEVER when having a magic in the left hand and a sword in the right the animation (From mystic knight mode kicks in) and it seems to be fixed. -   25. So I was thinking about this idea for a while ... What if there is a school outside whiterun that has all types of master trainers, but to apply for this school you will have to pay first. Each trainer would be in their own office where you can go and meet them so that you can train, and also it would be nice to include a few student roaming around the school.
