ever downloaded an outfit collection, like the VTAW wardrobe, only to find yourself pressing the inventory key again and again to preview the outfits on your character? ever wanted to quickly change between weapons and outfits and grenades, or consume aid/food without having to see a pip boy "opening" and "putting down" animation which also makes the game laggy in the middle of fights? it's also not immersive because the game gets paused! i was thinking of the idea of making a simple REAL-TIME inventory system which uses a really basic UI. this interface is supposed to load up the item list and whenever the player clicks on the item it should call the use function or something. i know this isn't something simple to do, i'm willing to make it myself but i lack the knowledge.. :skill_issue:

One of my favorite features these two companions share is how they'll use stealth boys in combat. The issue is they go through these rare items like hot cakes - immediately popping one as soon as combat starts. Is there any way non-consumable versions of the item such as "Deacon's Stealth Boy" or "X6-88's Stealth Boy" could be modded into the game? These preferably would not usable by the pc (for the sake of balance). It's been an idea of mine for a personal mod but I'm not good at scripting  Thanks!

Dear Mod Authors: If you decide to make your mod available on Bethesda.net, could you please add a link to its listing there in your post here on the Nexus? As you are aware, Bethesda.net is the only place that console users will be able to get mods from, and as we all know, the Nexus is SO much better for finding mods. Imagine how nice it would be if we were able to browse through the mods here on the Nexus, find one we like, and then be able to click a link and hop over to Bethesda.net and add it to our favorites and/or library. Bear in mind, I'm not making any demands here; just a simple request from one Fallout fan to another: Make the world a better place for all of us. Sincerely, Dadditude

A mod to display which region am I currently located. So for example when I open the map in pip-boy, in the bottom it should say North End - Commonwealth, instead of Commonwealth

Need a mod that would add [special] tag to things like overdue book. I didn't know that these things are useful and have been just selling them the whole game, maybe there're others that I don't know of, but I don't want to go to wiki over every item.

Without the leader perk, moving junk around settlements is a nightmare since I have to seek through the list for the junk that contains certain resourses, I can't just walk everything to build a few turrets. So It would be usefull to have a mod that would, with a press of a button, dissasemble everything (that can be dissassembled) in a selected container into their components, thus if I need some Gears & screws, I could just take them instead of searching for the items, which contain them.

I've been working on a personal project for a long time involving modifications to the Nevada Skies weather mod, among other things. I recently realized I had a (vastly) outdated version of the mod and updated. While I'm happy to have new weather effects and a smoother, more visually appealing weather system, I basically have to start from scratch in converting it back to the way I had it before. The main issue I have with that is that redoing the whole thing from the bottom up, on this new file, is going to be one of the most tedious things I've ever done in my life. Manually inputting color values via FNVEdit is already enough of a chore for just one weather entry, the thought alone of doing the same for three hundred sixty weather types (according to the math my tired brain worked out) is enough to turn me into a gibbering mess. To summarize, I need a better way of doing this. Is there a way to export this all to a text document and re-import the modified results, or even copy settings from one weather file to another in FNVEdit or the GECK?

Not sure if this has been done or thought of, but I had an interesting idea. (Or at least I think it's interesting) What if power armor stations were able to be connected to generators via cable in order to circumvent the need for conduits in some cases. There could be some benefits to having the power armor station connected to electricity such as slightly decreased resource requirements or something along those lines. I just thought that was something that might be cool to have included in the game as a way of making the power armor stations more convenient. Thanks for reading, if you do.

Alright, so...serious question. I understand that Fallout 4 is not mod-friendly "out the box". Presumably, the folks at Bethesda would rather that everyone use their mod service. So, you have to change the ini files. Without that, it'll just ignore the mods you try to put in locally, right? Except, why do I the end user have to look up a tutorial, manually locate the files, and then manually search for the relevant lines to copy in the changes? The method is the same as when it first came out, right? So why haven't we automated this? Why can't someone just click a button and have the ini patched for them? Yeah, a lot of people have already done it manually by now, but new people and fresh installs are still things that exist. It would be a pretty nice convenience feature to have. So, again, serious question...is there any reason why this step couldn't be/hasn't been automated by now?

SSE In werewolf form, loot items & lockpick chests/doors
Paralisa posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I saw this mod meant for skyrim (non special edition) and i'm surprised i haven't found it here. i would really appreciate it if someone made a mod where you can go into beast form and still do things like looting items, unlocking chests and maybe even talk to people if they happen to not be hostile towards you, like a follower. That would make beast form sooo much more efficient to use! -
Make houses more useful for preparing for and enabling adventuring around Skyrim, with this feature you would no longer have to talk to Inn Keepers or fellow Guild Members to receive radiant quests and bounty letters. Or, a mod that changes house carls to let you know about any local bounties - what else do they do when she isn't sweeping the house or eating? Squires of Skyrim on the Steam Workshop has a bounty checking feature where the Squires check for bounties when you enter a region. As does Maya Erathal in Lots More Followers Mod on the Nexus. It would be great if this functionality could be implemented in either a Postbox or a Housecarl / Spouse dialogue option. Thanks for reading.

Quick Stash by trilioth Requires SKSE Version 2.0 handles player made items. See Change Log. Tired of inventory management? Would you rather be fighting than stashing your loot? Are you looking for convenience without feeling like you are cheating? If you answered yes to any the above, then Quick Stash might be right for you. [Get It HERE] How to do I use it? Simply drop the the Quick Stash Key* into any container for quick storage of excess items. *not an actual key, but can be found with your miscellaneous items. What exactly does it do? Simply put, it's the one-click answer to unloading items. More precisely, form lists are used for removing a number of items quickly into the container (List 1 Items), then your inventory is scanned to remove further items that are not marked as favorite or equipped (List 2 Items). After items are removed, then more form lists are used to return any items that should remain in your inventory (List 3 Items). Since items of the miscellaneous category are not scanned miscellaneous quest items, gold and lock picks are not removed from your inventory. List 1 Items: All recognized Books (excluding known quest items)All Raw Food (because you normally eat the prepared food.)All ingredients (because you're out hunting treasure not making potions)All crafting materials (do you see a tanning rack or forge nearby?)All Soul Gems (empty ones will be returned as part of list 3)All Animal Parts (because troll skulls are heavy)Miscellaneous Clutter (why did you pick up that embalming tool anyway?)Coming Soon! All of any item you choose (excluding player made potions and player made enchanted items.)List 2 Items: AmmoArmorPotions/Poison/FoodScrollsWeaponsList 3 Items: All Known Quest ItemsEmpty Soul GemsIs there more? Currently the features described are part of the version 1.0 basic package and does not recognize items from DLC. Future plans in this order: DLC aware versions (Easy peasy. I just wanted to cover Non-DLC version first and not have to rip out DLC content)Basic Configuration for User-Defined List 1 Items. (basically you drop the key, which opens a container. Whatever you put into that container goes on the list.)NMM/FOMOD Installer Script (I could use some help with this.)MCM Configuration (in the event that prior goals are met and users request more customization).... Disclaimer: Quick Stash is not responsible for loss of items due to cell reset on respawning containers or player's inability to access the container at a later time.

I notice on the even the vanilla model, the combat armor helmets have a flashlight attached, but unlike mining helmets, can't be used as such. I figured, maybe someone with more modding experience could come along and enable such functionality, even add modding for the flashlights like power armor helmets has.

In f4 you're wearing 5 pieces of body armor + clothing + helmet + glasses = 8 pieces that are spread around your clothing inventory tab which you have to click through and remember if you ever want to temporarily change you outfit. It would be nice to have a mod that would remember all of the aforementioned clothing that is currently weared as a set, so I could just push a button and switch to the saved set automatically.

Show item components when looking at an item.
thehobojoe2011 posted a topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Can this please be a thing? As someone who's been messing with settlements a ton, I'm tired of having to memorize what everything is made of, I end up picking up dozens of useless items that just contain steel or wood. Picking up a new junk item and finding out it only contains steel, then immediately having to drop it is beyond inconvenient. Just a mod that makes life a little easier in terms of crafting would be great for the game.- 1 reply
