  2. Let me just say from the start this is my first attempt at modding and I just tried to install what seemed fun. I couldn't find anyone with the same specific problems on google. I tried using what they did but to no avail. I wanted to play Skyrim again, as I have a copy for the 360 and PS4 as well. This time however I went for the PC version. I tried installing some mods and played around a lot with NexusMods and was happily playing until tonight, when the game decided to keep crashing. This happens only when I am in a specific area, more specifically in Dragonsreach at the enchanter. It happens when I am trying to enchant or when I am just walking around that specific area. Now before you are going to say that I am using mods to enhance my enchants. I am not, nor am I a high level enchanter. There are no ridiculous % on the items that I am enchanting. A lot of my mods are visual only. I have had a similar crash before, where I couldn't access the area near Kolskeggr Mine, I couldn't touch or get too close to the 2 NPC's/Enemies near the house at the bridge in front of the mines Basically I had to run before the crash would get me. The weird part is that I can access that area now and instead I can't access Dragonreach properly. Only for a specific amount of time which is around 2-3 minutes, I am quite confident it has nothing to do with the enchanter, though I must admit I haven't tried other enchanters. I have tried eliminating all my plugins, first 50% of the whole list, then 50% of that, and so on and so on. After following up on some tips of another topic, I managed to get my hands on some kind of error report or whatever it is but I have no idea how to read it. My pc specs are: 1070 I3-7350k 8 gb ram None of them show any issue in other games, nor does the computer seem to be carrying a too heavy load. Skyrim takes about 1.8gb ram and my graphics card runs at around 50-60 degrees when playing. My CPU sits around 40-50 degrees celcius. I don't think it is hardware related but maybe I am wrong here. I have the latest drivers installed for all my hardware. When I go through the error report, it doesn't seem to indicate anything special. I think the error report shows when I had disabled all of my mods. The problem is, nothing seems to strike me out of the ordinary and from all the crashes I have had, it is the only one that was documented for some reason. If anyone seems to have an understanding of what the problem might be, you would seriously help me out. I am running the special edition patch, I have tried running it with just that as well, but sadly that didn't work either. For now it is not the biggest issue, but knowing that the corruption could spread throughout all my game, corrupting everything, makes me a bit worried. Maybe the Mythical Ages and the Eternal Sunshine are having some fun together?
  3. I used to love playing Skyrim, but I had only ever played it on the XBox 360. When I saw the awesome things one could do with mods, I decided I wanted to buy Skyrim on Steam and play it on my laptop. My husband bought it for me for Christmas and me, completely inexperienced with modding and the problems that occur, starting adding mods. Long story short, I now know how to update things, I now use LOOT and GenerateFNIS every time I add/remove/update mods, etc. Still, I am not very tech savvy and there are plenty of things I am not familiar with/don't understand. But there's one problem that has angered me to no end, with no solution in sight. Quite a while ago (not sure how long, or what exactly may have started this) I began having a problem where, after playing the game for so long (usually I'd be at least level 30), I'd go to save and immediately upon clicking "save" my game would crash to desktop. I could not figure out how to fix the problem and would lose characters that I had put a lot of time and effort into (especially since I take great care customizing the appearance and trying to roleplay as much as possible). Once, someone suggested that it was something called "save bloat" causing the problems, even though the Unofficial Skyrim patch is supposed prevent this. The aforementioned person suggested going into Skyrim, opening up the save menu, alt+tabbing out, going into the Skyrim Saves folder, and moving all saves to another folder so that the game would no longer recognize those saves and I could make a brand new save 1. This kinda works. Most of the time, I can get one or two saves in before the problem happens again. So I'm still at a loss. Once I made sure to get rid of any mods that didn't come from Nexus, made sure all my mods were updated, and ran GenerateFNIS and LOOT, as well as removing some mods I wasn't dying to have, things seemed to get better. One person suggested getting the Alternate Start Live Another Life mod, which I did. One person suggested using TES5Edit, but others have said not to because it can seriously screw things up. So I haven't used it. I believe I downloaded it, but I couldn't figure out how to use it anyway. Anyway, for quite some time now, the problem hasn't happened. I was still getting crashes to desktop fairly often, but not on saves and I would usually be fine upon restarting. However, the other day, after updating the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (or USLEEP), the very next time I tried to save the problem happened again. I should note that I did not make any mod changes while the game was running and I made sure to run LOOT an GenerateFNIS after updating AND checked to make sure the load order was as the modder suggested it should be. Everything appeared to be in order. Upon going into the Skyrim>Saves folder I discovered that there was indeed a file for the save I tried to make, but instead of saving as an .ess or an .skse file, the stupid thing was a .tmp file. I have not tried changing it to another kind of file, as I do not know how, but I've read in various other threads that doing so only causes MORE problems. Whether or not USLEEP is the cause, I am unsure. Another thing I should mention is that I don't have any special houses like Elisdriel or Proudspire Manor or anything like that. All I know is the problem seemed to have stopped, then upon updating USLEEP it started again. It should also be mentioned that, when I received the Skyrim Special Edition for free (due to already having regular Skyrim) it would not play at all. It just will not work with or without mods. But that's a small matter compared to the faulty saves. I am beyond livid at this point. Nobody has apparently offered a real solution to the problem and I know I'm not the only one who is at the point of not wanting to play the game anymore due to not being able to save. Beginning to wonder how Bethesda isn't losing money since their game is so full of bugs. You can't play a game like Skyrim and NOT save. Also, per suggestion, I disabled all forms of autosave. I. Want. A. Solution. I'm sick and tired of this problem being ignored. Someone needs to be a professional and do something to fix the problem. I'm tired of trying to be patient and nice about this. This has gone beyond ridiculous.
  4. Ever since completing the battle for Whiterun for the Imperials I have been having trouble with CTDs that only occur whilst saving. Initially I thought this problem was isolated to Solitude, but have since discovered that once Solitude is visited I get a CTD no matter where I save. I have disabled a few mods that I thought might be causing the problem, but no luck there. I have reloaded various old saves pre-glitch, cleaned just about EVERYTHING, launched the game with everything I can think of, edited and re edited the skyrim.ini file (currently using unedited file as the edits did nothing and I have no idea if they might make future attempts to fix harder), rearranged my load order over and over, and cleared orphan scripts from my save files, deleting older files in the hopes that it would help. None of it has. Does anyone else have any advice or a similar problem?   5. Hello everyone! This post will be short and sweet. I'm not a very advanced mod-user - I know how to install, reinstall, troubleshoot to a degree, and I know how to use LOOT/BOSS/whatever else. I know the basics... basically. Now, I am having random/sporadic CTD's - it's sort of been going on a while, not a massive deal, because I known enough about Skyrim's finicky ways to save every 5 feet... just figured I could look into it, or rather, you friendly people could, since I'm not sure how to fix this myself.   7. Well, since I can't find the answer to my problem anywhere online, I thought I'd give making a post a try. Anyways, I've recently come across a problem where whenever I try to fast travel my game crashes to desktop. It began after I reinstalled Cloaks of Skyrim and Complete Crafting Overhaul in order to install the compatibility patch for them to work together. I've since reverted my mods back to the way they were, re-sorted my load order with LOOT, and cleaned my save file. I should also note that it's only when I fast travel that the CTD occurs, other load screens and using coc to get around don't cause me to crash. Papyrus logs haven't helped much, either, as there's no pattern in the scripts being run at the end when it crashes. I'd very much appreciate any advice anyone's willing to provide on the situation. Anyway, i have a little problem (well not little, more like big game breaking making me revert back to FNV kind of problem). I just recently installed the game back after several weeks not playing it and started a new mod loads, new game, etc. Long story short i just installed a bunch of mods, started new game, but when i tried to travel to Rocket Red Station by foot, the game crashes exactly when I'm in the middle of the sanctuary bridge, I've tried to reach Concord/Red Rocket Station but it still crashes. I'm basically locked in Sanctuary. My game is in version 1.4 with Automatron DLC installed, i suspect either i used some mods that required version higher than 1.4 or my load order messed up or a mod material is missing due to bad download (i use NMM). My load order: IF someone help me solve this, it would be appreciated.   9. Hi, so it's been a while since I've played Skyrim, but as of late I've been interested in it again. I vaguely remember that I stopped playing the game a few months ago due to crashing I was experiencing as well as just general boredness with the game. Currently I CTD after at least a half hour and I have no idea why. It could be mods needing cleaning, but I'm not positive. Here is my current mod list sorted: I've gotten SKSE, SkyUI, and any other mods updated to the current version, and deleted and uninstalled any mods that conflicted with others (Enhanced Character Edit + Racemenu). My Dual Sheath Redux Patch is also giving me a hard time.. I cannot uninstall or deactivate Elianora's redguard home, merta black rose armor, celes nightingale armor, or clearsky hideout without the patch saying that the masters are missing in loot. My computer is a Gigabyte P25W-CF3 15.6 Inch Laptop (you can google the specs, except I opted to have windows 7 instead of windows 8 ) Skyrim only registers my Intel® HD Graphics 4600 card instead of my Nvidia one, which is another problem in itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
  10. Hello guys, I've been having this problem for months, everytime the game or Mod Organizer updates I hope that the new update could fix my issue. Apparently it has not. Initially I thought that maybe there were some load order issues, for the early releases of MO had some very bad LOOT integrations (even the standalone LOOT was crashing when I tried to sort the load order), but now after more than a few updates and a working LOOT (both integrated and standalone) I still have the same issue. Then I thought that maybe there were some kind of conflict, or missing ESP, but MO gave me the thumbs up, so it couldn't be that! Honestly, I can't really remember what exactly triggered this CTD, the only thing I can tell you is that I've played Fallout 4 modded before without any issue. I am going to attach the load order for maybe you guys can figure out what's wrong. Thanks a lot for any kind of help!

Hi Guys, Don't know if anyone else is encountering this issue, but it seems that the 1.7 update is causing two major issues with my game - it always CTD on fast travel (to anywhere from anywhere as far as I can tell) and on save (Quicksave or otherwise) and I cannot figure it out. I turned off all mods I installed prior to this issue happening, and even turned off my recently installed DLC (Vault-Tech Workshop and Contraptions) but the problem remains. I can only think it's something in the 1.7 update which is either clashes with existing mods or something as it was working perfectly fine a few days ago with all my mods enabled and the Vault-Tech Workshop DLC. If anyone else is encountering this issue and has a fix or an idea as to what may be causing it (other than the standard Bethesda creation-of-bugs-rather-than-fixing-them issue of course) I would be most grateful. After I updated Skyrim SE to Version 1.5.39 and SKSE to 2.0.7, I had some random and some reproducible Crashes (to Desktop) with NO Error-Messages or noticeable Log-Entries in Papyrus-Logs, Steam-Logs or Windows 10 Event-Viewer. Some of them occured while fast travelling, some while loading a Savegame and some just during Gameplay... So it was like Hell to find out the Reason(s) why! After 3 Days Odyssey of searching the Web and trying this and that, I finally found a (simple) Solution that worked just fine for me: Do NOT clean the native Update.esm and DLC-Files (Dawnguard.esm, Dragonborn.esm and HearthFires.esm) with TES5Edit (SSEEdit) !!! After I restored the original (dirty) Files from Backup, I never got a Crash (to Desktop) or any other Error with my Setup! Everything works fine again. So I don't know (or understand) why it should be necessary to clean those files?! Or which Problem(s) could occur if you don't clean them?! Maybe this Solution is helpful for some other afflicted Users too...
  13. I started experiencing persistent CTD's when roaming the forest area around Falkreath. At first I thought it would be a mod conflict because I do have a lot of mods installed, but after tedious testing I eventually decided to verify my game cache through steam. Verifying caused my SSEEdited files to revert back to their vanilla state... and now I no longer experience any crashes around Falkreath. The only .esp files I cleaned with SSEEdit were suggested to me by LOOT: Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, HearthFires.esm, Dragonborn.esm. Does anyone know if this is a common or known issue? Maybe I shouldn't be cleaning one of these .esp files? Either way, I would appreciate any information anyone might have about this. Thanks.
  14. So I modded Skyrim Legendary Edition and I have been getting a CTD error whenever I start a new game. I installed all of my mods with the Nexus Mod Manager, used loot to auto order them for me and then cleaned each and every dirty plugin with Tes5edit properly.   15. So, for some reason, my game keeps CTD'ing when I load in The Fens, a.k.a. the area outside of Diamond City. The first time, it took a minute of walking for it to crash, but now when I go back in game it crashes almost immediately. I need help, especially since I was planning on doing Valentine's quest which has a thing nearby. I tried uninstalling all my mods, Fo4, and all other Fo4 content on my computer, then spent yesterday and today reinstalling everything. When I went in to test it, the same thing happened!   16. Hello, All, This is my first time posting in the Forums, and I just finished reading the "how to ask for help" topic, so I hope I included everything necessary. Of course if anything is missing please let me know and I'll be more than happy to provide. I'll explain my issue. I have >80 mods implemented in my game, and started running into issues that occur on irregular intervals: I have been experiencing CTDs when moving from inside rooms to the overworld, or when leaving a town to the overworld. Other times I reach a loading screen from an inside area or town going into the overworld, and the loading screen remains for upwards of 5 mins. Even without crashing, nearly every load screen takes at least 2 mins to move through, from starting a new game, to simply moving in between rooms in a dungeon. I also constantly experience micro and even major stuttering from anything to simply moving the camera, to navigating the UI, to moving around the environment; even while standing still and doing nothing I sometimes see this stuttering. I imagine it is a mod compatibility issue, but even after looking through the mods I downloaded to check their compatibility, googling additional compatibility issues, and running LOOT, I've still not seen what is causing the issue. I have disabled all mods, and run the game, but still see experience the stuttering (though to a much lesser degree), and don't have issues with the load times or CTD. I have tried my best to fix this but to no avail :( So I am asking the community if they can spot the conflict that is causing me to CTD when I approach any city that isn't open (Withrun, Riften, Solitude, etc) but when I load inside the cities nothing is wrong and can just do my businesses there and fast travel out. I just can't approach them form the outside. I did noticed when I leave a city I won't CTD but when I turn around and approach again it does. I have used Loot to sort out my load order and any conflict that it picked up fixed.   18. Update: while disabling true colours helped stabilize the game, it does still crash. It crashed again at Wonders of Thedas again So I installed a bunch of mods and have since cut some down to try and improve the stability of the game but with little luck. The game crashes to desktop at very inconvenient times and I need help stopping it. When I try to replay the game sometimes I even have to go back to a previous save because the current one causes it to crash immediately. I also have the issue of when entering certain buildings, the walls disappear so it's just the floor, whatever is on the floor, and black everywhere else.   19. I don't know where I went wrong, but I cannot play Fallout 4 with mods after a 3 month hiatus. When I sat down to begin playing again, I first updated NMM and downloaded the current versions of all the mods I had active. Run Fallout 4, CTD on loading any saves, CTD on starting a new game. I did a full reinstall of Fallout 4, went online and downloaded LOOT, Wrye Bash, and FO4Edit. I did not reinstall NMM. Reactivate all the mods I wanted, ran LOOT, then Wrye Bash, then FO4Edit on advice from another forum. No joy, no changes at all. If anybody has some noteworthy advice to give, I'm all ears, because I'm about to scrap modding entirely and just play this vanilla.

Hi! i am in need of help finding what's the cause of my crash to desktop. fresh installed mods, new game. the ctd occurs when i am going back to the main menu after saving, and once when i am playing. my gameplay doesn't suffer much when the ctd's happen, but it's still bugging me every time it does. so please help me resolve this. my mod's load order i know it has errors but i can't understand papyrus langauge so yeah.... papyrus log: i would pretty much appreciate if you can help me... >>>EDIT<<< when i was going to reinstal all of my mods i noticed on mod organizer that "Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp" was ticked off, i really don't understand how this happened. so i was playing without the "Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp" does that means this is the cause to my ctd's i am currently having??

Hey guys, i thought maybe you could help me, because i've spent more than 15 hours now looking for conflicting mods or mods which require DLC's, and reading the papyrus logs, but i can't find anything that helps. I have nearly 80 mods installed, and get random CTD's. Sometimes on loading screens, sometimes when going to sleep and sometimes even just walking around. There is no similar activity i am doing when the crashes occur, and there is no algorythm. Sometimes i can play for an hour without a single crash, and sometimes it crashes on the very first loading screen. I already tried disabling mods to see if it doesn't crash, but just as i think i finally found a conflicting mod because it didn't crash for a while it crashes again. The things i did already are: Clean my save with the save cleaner tool, Install ENBoost for my installed ENB, install several startup memory patches, install LOOT and sort the mods in the right order and clean all "dirty" mods with tes5edit. Yesterday i thought it could be a ram issue, as the game can't handle more than 3.1 gb's of ram usage (correct me if i'm wrong), so i installed a handy program that shows and tracks my RAM and VRAM usage, but none of them were fully occupied when it crashed. I started installing the mods with a clean save. I can't tell if the crashes are just around Whiterun, as i haven't really been anywhere else yet on this savegame. The esp's and esm's from my plugins.txt are: All my installed mods from Nexusmods are: One of the papyrus logs is the following: Of course SKSE latest version is installed, just like latest skyrim version. The ENB i am using is Real-Performance ENB I am one of these people who can't play skyrim without tons of mods, so "just uninstall everything" is not an option.   23. Dear community, You probably have this post very often and are kind of annoyed by it. I have been careful when choosing and installing mods to skyrim, doing nothing too crazy as well as reading all descriptions anf following installalation orders. and generally learning about modding. But still I get a very annoying problem with random Crashes to desktop. This happens on five occasions. First: Randomly when I'm outside. This occures every couple of hours but sometimes a lot more often. Second: I had a problem around Silent moons camp and behind the Morthal Pale borders(which I believe where addet by the Hold Borders mod) where the game kept crashing at the same location until I Fast traveled to Whiterun and back. Third: When I try to enter some caves. It happened a couple of times but I only recall the Silent Moons camp. When I tried to enter it the game chrased. I had to reload an older save. Fourth: When I'm crafting while schrolling through the menu.(probably due to A lot of items added by immersive weapons and armor, bandoliers, cloaks ect.) Fifth: While quicksaving. During even the most spectacular fights involving Dragons, multiple NPC's massive explosions and summonings the game whont even stutter. I suspect that my ctd's are the outcome of script conflicts between either Skytest, OBIS, Immersive Creatures, Immersive Patrols or Populated Lands Roads and Paths. But that is just me guessing. Does anyone have an Idea of what could be causing my Problem. Are any of these mods I've installed known to cause CTD's? How do I solve my problem? I would be very thankful for help on that matter.   24. Skyrim is crashing to desktop on loading screen and both Loot and Wyre Bash are saying there are no problems with the mods i'm using. Any help is appreciated but please keep instructions simple as i'm not too experienced in this area.
  25. I tried installing nexus mod manager to add mods to Fallout 4 and even without mods installed it crashes. If I completely uninstall NMM, it will still crash even after verifying integrity off game cache through steam. I I completely uninstall NMM and Fallout 4, restart my computer, and reinstall Fallout 4; then it will work. I have tried every thing I could find with a google search to attempt to fix it but nothing has worked. I am using Windows 10 i7-4771 3.5GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
