I am trying to find someone who has finished the Civil War Overhaul questline by losing. I just want to know what losing entails so I know whether or not my scene is bugged. Do you die? Do you lose your imperial faction ID? No one on Reddit will answer me, no one on the CWO forum will answer, and I don't dare ask Apollo because he's busy and doesn't like questions. So can anyone who has lost the civil war please help me out with some info? Thanks in advance.

Last night while working through the quest "The Cursed Tribe", I entered Fallowstone Cave with Chief Yamarz to help him defeat the giant. To my utter surprise, as soon as the cave loaded, I got blasted by a shout from Alduin who then proceeded to fly around the cave and cast all manner of shouts at me. This has got to be the craziest glitch I have seen in the game yet. To complete the quest, I had to select Alduin and disable through the console. I am hoping this doesn't screw up anything in the future. My guess is that this has something to do with the Civil War Overhaul. Alduin is also visible constantly flying over the Whiterun area which is something that I hadn't seen before installing CWO. CWO states on it's main page "You came to the siege to party - dragons may decide to come party with you. :D enjoy.". Seeing as the author has locked the comments on CWO and I didn't really find anything relevant by searching the them, I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has experienced something like this. Overall, I have had nothing but problems with CWO and probablu would not install it on another play through. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

Hey I wanted to post a question here since I didn't want to bother Apollodown to much on the matter since I know he is busy or likely not going to respond all the time to my multitude of problems. Recently I downloaded the EGO pack from Apollodown's Nexus download page. And the mod worked well at first but I began to notice a multitude of bugs that just kept coming. Here is the list I was hoping to get some help with, and I hope its ok to post about this mod here. I'm aware there is another posting area for this and I may move this over to there but I figured it would be best to address it all together as a new problem. 1. Stormcloaks seem to not know their own AI package. They randomly will run or stop and do nothing for a long while allowing me to kill them easily. They will eventually return to fighting, but this is not really a problem since this is a rare occurrence. 2. There were no giants that spawned for the Stormcloak side. This again isn't really a problem, but I just thought I'd put that out there as another thing that is suppose to appear, but it doesn't. 3.Legate's do not give me the correct quest path. I was told to attack Dawnstar as soon as I came to the Legate Rikke, this resulted in bugs, I came to Apollodown for this and he told me to re-load to a save before that mission. This temporarily fixed the problem as she gave me another quest to attack the fort instead. 4. A new problem occurred after this solution where the battle for Dawnstar began but it never ends! Its a never ending battle, I kill the attacking enemy, more appear I kill, more, I kill, more. I sit down and type "kill all" 35x +++ more and more and more. It just never ends. 5. When I die, it goes black and says I can no longer fight anymore. I know this is part of the mod, and I'm SUPPOSED to be brought to a nearby camp, or faraway camp and told I failed the mission. INSTEAD, I end up just dying anyway OR the script fails and I'm stuck lying down on the floor with imperial's running around threatening the air. 6.Eventually, while fighting the endless battle for Dawnstar, it says that I randomly lost at times, even though I just arrived, or am winning. The stage however continues to go as the never ending battle continues. 7. There is no 7, but at this point with all these problems, is it really worth trying to fix the mod or should I uninstall ego pack and just use his other mods? I really like his mods but the CWO is very very buggy to the point of being unplayable since I cannot continue. ========================================== Additional information: Below i have listed some additional information that could [COULD] be useful to anyone who may have experienced the same problem or not and fixed it, or not. At this point I see little reason to keep the mod aside from how epic it could be without the bugs occurring. BOSS LOG ApolloDown's Checklist EDIT*** Recently tried StartQuest CWOApolloFixMe it does complete the quest however NOW my controls have been disabled and I can do nothing...

Hi there, first of all I'd like to apologise for any grammar or spelling mistakes in the following text. Unfortunately I'm not a native speaker - so please have mercy. During my last 4 playthroughs I've experienced two unpleasend bugs when I almosed considered the civil war questline finished. Either I had the same problem as described here with Solitude being deserted and my fellow Stormcloaks vanishing into thin air as soon as they enter the city. (This bug occoured 3 times.) or the Stormcloaks and the Imperials both showed up in Solitude, however Tullius and Rike did not realise they were in war when encountering them - plus: I was not able to leave the building as the door was only a black surface without function. (This bug occoured once.) I've browsed quite a few websites and forum articles and as far as I understand this is a vanilla bug. The problem is only: up to now I have not found any solution. My imediate thought on the first bug was that it could be connected to the use of OCS. However it also happens with OCS deactivated. Of course I tried to load an older save and did even start completely new games - without any success. Up to now I have not installed any mods altering the civil war, but I've been thinking about installing CWO for quite a while. Given the current state of the cw in my game: Is it advisable to install the mod or should I better give up on the idea? I read through the CWO page several times and as far as I can see nothing else would speak against it. (My game runs stable without CTDs, I use the latest SKSE, the unofficial patches, ENBoost, I did not modify my ini-files and I sort the load order manually after sorting it with Loot) So if any of you guys could give me advice concerning the above-mentioned bugs I would be very grateful. Moreover: if you could give me any hints what else I need to pay attention to during the installation process of CWO I would really apreciate it. (I read the pages of CWO and EGO several times but I still consider myself a beginner and just don't want to screw my game by my own stupidity.) Thanks in advance!

If I'm trying to go from 2.05 to 2.12, I don't need to start a new game right? Do I need to install 2.1 first and then 2.12? And would I click 'no' or 'yes' in NMM when it asks me if I want to update? I've looked for the answer and all that was mentioned was: If it is not a full build update, YOU DO NOT NEED TO START A NEW GAME. What do I mean by full build update? if you are upgrading from version 2 to 2.1, for example, you won't need to start a new game. However, if you were to update from version 2 to version 3, you would need a new game. Essentially, if I don't update CWO, you'll be fine upgrading between versions. It's not a full build update, but it looks like CWO was changed in 2.1

Hi everyone. I'm about to finish my STEP 2.2.9.1 plus REGS 4.0.6 installation and so far everything looks pretty much stable. My Rig: i7 3930K @ Stock, GTX 680 Phantom 4GB @ Stock, 8GB DDR3 1333 @ Stock, Windows 10x64 & Skyrim on SSD Performance STEP with STEP Extended before REGS installation can be seen in the first graph (red/green) I've attached, in numbers: FPSmin 39, FPSmax 98, FPSavg 65, VRAMavg 2102 MB, GPUloadavg 86 %, GPUtempavg 65 °C, GPUpoweravg 111 W, CPUloadavg 18 %, RAMavg 298 MB, Pagefileavg 27 MB, SSDavg 10 MB/s Performance REGS (=current performance) with STEP Extended and REGS (a modular addon pack for STEP) can be seen in the second graph (yellow/blue), in numbers: FPSmin 37, FPSmax 100, FPSavg 65, VRAMavg 2090 MB, GPUloadavg 85%, GPUtempavg 63 °C, GPUpoweravg 109 W, CPUloadavg 17%, RAMavg 283 MB, Pagefileavg 28 MB, SSDavg 11 MB/s Performance unfriendly areas are currently: Cities due to JK's Major Cities, Villages due to Enhanced Cities and Towns Performance required: I have no problem with being as low as 25fps in average in cities. I also don't mind having tons of graphical upgrades for dungeons and the like as I got absurd framerates there. However, the game still needs to be playable in the wilds, this will be the biggest problem. I can live with smooth 30fps as long as I got no severe drops. This isn't a competitive online game so graphics go over maximum smoothness while fighting. I had to manually ensure compatibility of REGS as it was a bit outdated compared to STEP. Before starting to add further mods in addition to that I will go through every single STEP and REGS mod and look for patches and installation options I may have overlooked or I haven't had in mind regarding the mods yet to add. I regard this as a base setup I'd like to expand before starting my playthrough. What I like to add: Optics/Weather Vividian ENB Vivid Clouds and Fogs Vivid Snow Climates of Tamriel Expanded Snow Systems for CoT Supreme Storms for CoT RCRN anything important missing...? Environment Skyrim Bigger Trees Lite Verdant Grass anything important missing...? Gameplay PerMa + SkyRe modules OR SkyRe Perhaps a combat (Ultimate Combat?)/magic (Apocalypse Spell Package?) module/overhaul but if possible I'd like to go with the according SkyRe modules to ensure maximum stability/compatibility ASIS (probably not needed if using SkyRe modules?!) Alternate Start - Live another Life with addons like Legacy of the Dragonborn AutoSave Manager anything important missing...? Factions/NPCs/Encounters Civil War Overhaul (yes, I know, but I can live with having to use the console for a few times in exchange for that awesome experience) Immersive Patrols (or War Zones or whatever fits CWO best) OBIS (I can already smell heavy script overload) Perfect Legionnaire (caused naked NPCs and such in the past but I'm sure there's a solution) Immersive Creatures (I LOVE this and need to have it in) High Level Enemies Revenge of the Enemies Deadly Dragons Dovahkriid, Monster Mod, Strong Enemy Extreme (haven't used them before but they were recommended to me?!) Followers Extensive Follower Framework (still the best around?) All voiced (!) followers that fit the lore Player Homes All non overpowered player homes that are compatible with the mods above and don't increase instability, unfortunately I'm completely new to this area Armors, Weapons and Clothing A whole bunch of new lore friendly clothing that can be purchased and found at NPCs. cupboards and so on A whole bunch of new lore friendly armors that can be purchased and found at enemies, chests and so on A whole bunch of new lore friendly weapons that can be purchased and found at enemies, chests and so on Probably a tool to add all that stuff to leveled lists (Lootificator or whatever its called?!) Body/Physics UNP with HDT is what I would prefer but if there's something else realistic I'm open SexLab With a low priority. If it overloads scripts or decreases performance heavily its out. I've already had an immersive setup without all that over the top junk like most DD mods but as said, if everything else is running fine and I can add it safely its okay, if not then its out. Merging Mods I only tried this once and totally f***ed up but I will need to get rid of esps in order to achieve such a list! Now, if any of you is running a similar setup, I would love to get some advice on all or single areas of my dream setup. My last modlist was more basic and over a year old, so unfortunately I'm everything but up to date when it comes to Skyrim mods. Also, I see me having 20fps in average with the above so do you know what's the biggest performance hits? An ENB is MUST and I love Vividian and I know his weather mods aren't performance heavy. Probably more something like Bigger Trees or Verdant?! Thank you in advance!

This isn't usually a problem, but I'm playing through the civil war questline with CWO and it's impossible. Usually within 10 to 30 seconds of walking into a big battle, there's a CTD, and I've been trying to get Sheson's memory fixes to work, until I checked my MemoryBlocksLog.log: logging of blocks enabled logging max values only Timer disabled Block1 Block2 512MB 256MB ... ...Block1 usually ends between 296 and 319. Block2 usually ends between 202 and 210. I'm assuming this means the crashing isn't related to the memory fix since they don't reach the max values? My latest skse.log file: I feel like I've tried everything. Any advice would be welcome. Let me know if I should post any more logs or anything else.

Possibly a CWO problem - guards massacring each other
Rubicon83 posted a topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
After having seen that awesome trailer-like video of the Civil War Overhaul mod, I was overjoyed and couldn't wait to get it into Skyrim with a clean start and play all that original in-depth Civil War content that was discarded by Bethesda. Well, now its years later and I found out that it has since been pulled from the nexus and I can't find support for it anywhere. Why? It makes it all the more difficult to troubleshoot it so I figured I might as well throw a bone here and hope to get lucky. Anyway... I speculate that my problem is related to a specific function within the mod itself; you see, on occasion, the latest version of the mod has me seeing "Imperial Spies" and "Stormcloak Spies" (labeled as such when you target them) sneaking around in their enemies' cities wearing that respective city's guard outfit. Sometimes authentic guards see them, they get hunted down and are usually killed before they manage to escape. This is fun and lore-friendly. However, as of late, upon entering the city of Riften, I often find myself in the middle of a pitched battle in the streets with Riften Guards (labeled as such, not spies) running around trying to murder each other. This causes some problems (not to mention the obvious lore-breaking effect) because named NPCs that may or may not be essential to some of the side missions tend to get killed. (see attached image) Now, I don't know if this is specifically a CWO problem, I do have several other mods installed. I just figured that it could have something to do with that spy-script interfering with the programmed identities of the Riften Guards as well, if it is at all possible. This happens both in the streets and also, one time, within Mistveil Keep. The annoying thing is that, since CWO has been pulled from nexusmods, I can't really find the proper forum to post in. I hope you bear with me on this.- 10 replies
