  4. Hi! Just started modding again after a few years and i am trying out the new vortex mod manager. I have installed everything on my SSD and i want to remove the mod archives for mods that are already installed, so i can clear up a lot of space. Is that possible? Is it the files in "C:\Users\.....\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\downloads\falloutnv" that i should remove? :happy:
  5. Hello, When I attempt to delete a private message from my inbox, be it from within the conversation itself of from the My Conversations folder, the messages are not deleted. I can go through the process and even get the warning asking if I'm sure, but after saying yes, the PMs are still present and readable. I already got the same resulsts when I tried the same thing a few months ago. I attempted to disable uBlock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere and Privacy Badger, but this didn't make a difference. I use Firefox and am on Windows 10. Does anyone have an idea about the cause of this issue? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi there, I love Skyrim great game! Mods are amazing especially insects begone. But there are mods which are amazing which add new spiders into the game such as moonpath and beyond reach Iâm looking for someone who knows how mods work and so on to help me delete all the spider related models from these mods. Iâm hoping itâs something as easy as just finding the files which contain the spiders and deleting them. Iâm aware insects begone has patches but they all out of date and Iâve messaged the mod author Could do with some help

Is making groups like this no longer possible? I made what you see in the image above in 2019. I can't seem to replicate it anymore. I simply cannot remove the lines anymore. Was what I did a bug? lol. I know it says "Masterlist groups and rules can't be removed", so I'm a bit confused on how I was able to, but can't seem to do it now. Personally, I'd appreciate having the ability to do this back. Maybe even as a hidden option for "experienced users" or something.
  8. Is there a way to remove the wardrobe content ? Deleting clothing so I can buy them again I was able to do this with weapons using Rampage but you can't remove clothing apparently Any thoughts ? or mod ? thanks alot EDIT : same question for Saddles and other horse related gear
  9. I'm getting back into playing Skyrim with a heavily modded game. I made a mistake in thinking Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul and IA Overhaul were the same and installed both along with a lot of patches. I've deleted ICIAO and as many patches I could find in the MODS section of Vertex. Instead of going into my data folder and individually deleting each patch, I marked them as ghosts in the Plugin section. How can I delete these files? I can't seem to find them in any folder. Will I have to enable them one-by-one and then delete them from my data folder? It seems there should be a "repository" for ghost files somewhere? Thanks for any help!
  10. Hello, as of the last day I have been completely unable to use Vortex, due to a program breaking glitch. There is a mod that I previously installed for skyrim VR that I cannot uninstall from my computer or nexus. Now every time that I try to do anything on nexus an error that states "Accessing (file) failed with an error that indicates a hardware problem. This may indicate the disk is defective, if it's a network or cloud drive it may simply indicate temporary network or server problems. Please do not report this to us, this is not a bug in Vortex and we can not provide remote assistance with hardware problems." I cannot close out of the notification without completely closing vortex through task manager. It says that this is not a nexus issue, but with the other few posts I've see about this subject, it appears as though it is 100% just a nexus issue. This drive is practically brand new, top of the line, and has issues with no other programs or games right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'll attach a screenshot of the error as well. I've tried a few things that were suggested in older threads where this issue was posted, but there wasn't much advice offered and what I did try did nothing.

Hello fellow modders, The creation kit wiki says not to use in a script the command Delete unless it is used on uniques because it can delete spawn points, needed game references, etc. It says to use instead victim.SetCriticalStage(victim.CritStage_DisintegrateStart).Fair enough .But here is the weirdness. If use a mod like minimap that shows both dead and live bodies around you, I different results with both commands. With Delete, the markers for the npcs disappear instant. Also if I,use console command mark for delete. The form of the npc disappears from mini map. But is I use srtcriticalstage and set it at 4, the final stage, the npc visually disappears but still shows a a dead npc in the mini map. The whole purpose of my mod dead body remover is to quickly delete dead looted bodies and thus avoid save bloat when using spawning mods. If the npcs are going to remain in the world then what is the point? To add to confusion there is a cell in the game where dead deleted bodies are sent to. Do all deleted and setcriticalstage toons end up here regardless? If so then again what is the point of,the mod If the dead bodies are not forever and hard deleted? Any info,really appreciated.
  12. I have spent days on this and I'm getting to end of my options here, short of quitting gamming all together, Hopefully I can get a reply soon, it would mean very much. I am getting a consistent ghost file that keeps popping up after installing a mod called "Pandorable Serana" or PAN_Serana.esp in the plugins tab, The ghost file is called "Bijin AIO Legendary Plus Serana and Velerica" (which is Hidden by the author now) I have been unable to locate this file that keeps plaguing Vortex, It always shows up in the plugins tab. This ghost file is wrecking Serana's Appearance, she then ends up with a black face and vanilla, I started out with black face bug fix, (didn't work) then I tried another variation of the black face fix, it worked so then Serana has no black face anymore but any mod I use to try and edit Serana's Appearance is ignored, No other mod will ever work, if I remove the black face fix, she ends up as vanilla black face, unless I remove PAN_Serana.esp, but then obviously she is vanilla again. So, My next step was to try and uninstall Skyrim SE and reinstall, I deleted all the files in My Documents (save and .ini files) and in steam\steamapps\common\skyrimse, I also deleted the vortex files in D:\Vortex mods\skyrimse, I then uninstalled Skyrim its self from steam and made sure I had a clean install, and I did, I even had to reinstall SKSE64 in the root directory in D:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrimse\data. I had deleted all the mods in vortex so there was nothing there, I downloaded Pandorable Serana and installed it as the first mod to see if it had changed, and it did not, there it was in my plugins tab and when you hover over the dependencies Icon it says "loads after Bijin AIO Legendary Plus Serana and Velerica", mind you, this is the ONLY mod in vortex, This is what was causing Serana's black face, and it was still there (Facepalm) I then proceed to uninstall both Vortex AND Skyrim SE, thinking there was something in vortex that's being keep internal, Kind of like scripting, For example do X when Y is installed. I uninstall vortex and skyrim and delete all sub folders left behind like the ones left by skyrim, even the ones in C:\documents\Black Tree Gamming, Everything was deleted. I guess you know where I'm going with this long winded comment, lets just say after reinstalling both vortex and skyrim, the same ghost file pops up. But, That's not the end, I delete vortex and subfolder, skyrim and subfolders, and even uninstall creation kit (BTW, I had tried the ctrl-F4 in CK before deleting it, all it did was put Serana back to vanilla, but like I said, I can't install any mod that edits Serana's appearance, or I get black face and if I install the black face fix, she is back to vanilla again but all mods that edit Serana is ignored. OK, so now I'm completely at my wits end, I have no Idea what happened after uninstalling Bijin for Pandorable Serana, but even if it left files behind surely it would be ok after uninstalling and reinstalling a clean file, right? Wrong.. So. is there any help for this perplexing dilemma? everything I have tried still ends up with that stupid Bijin file. and obviously its not a problem with Pandorable Serana or Bijin so even with all the uninstalls and reinstalls that file or whatever it is, is still there. I hope someone has a solution for this, Or maybe I'm just an idiot, I have been modding for awhile and this is the first time I have ever encountered this persistent problem, I have used Creation Kit SSEEdit, uninstalling, reinstalling, everything I can think of, I was thinking it was a vortex error but, that just doesn't make sense, vortex doesn't keep extra files after their deleted, which is where I'm confused, Every source I can think of where this file could reside I have deleted, excluding vortex and skyrim of course, so where is it coming from. I'm not normally one to create a new topic right after posting another thread, but this is a drastically different subject: I have been receiving some seriously mixed signals whenever I inquire about editing or adding to vanilla areas. Some people have told me that you have to keep EVERY SINGLE OBJECT--trees, chairs, decorative bits--keeping them where they stand and opting to disable them. Others have said that you can freely delete them--provided that you know the objects are not tied to any NPC scheduling or quest requirements. The former sounds like a nightmare in the making, while the latter sounds quite fair... But which method is correct?
  15. I recently began making a new town in the Capital Wasteland, meant to be used in Tale of Two Wastelands. I built the town in the New Vegas Geck, when I realized that if I made it in the Fallout 3 GECK, I'd have a version of it for people who don't use TTW. So, I rebuilt the town in the Fallout 3 GECk. In my haste, I absent-mindedly gave the plugin for the F3 version the same name as the FNV version. Upon realizing this, I deleted (and later restored afterwards) the FNV version of this town and moved the F3 town plugin to the New Vegas data folder. I was floored to see the old version of the town in the New Vegas GECK, since I had deleted it. I even tried changing the name of the F3 version of the town, but the FNV version I had made still comes up. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered a similar problem and has any ideas around this.

I'm sure many of you have downloaded the many home mods out there only to be disappointed that the mod author seemingly went banana-sammich with the number of manequinns they try to cram in every nook and cranny. i've been scouring many mods of these useless showcase pieces only to be stuck with the f*#@ing spedestals. Jaxonz doesn't seem able of grabbing the pedestals for some reason. does anyone have any advice?

  22. Hello, Oblivion players! My game has been relatively stable, no conflicts, until now. I have pretty frequent crashes in almost every area of the game.   23. Does anyone know of a mod that will delete the broken down house in the middle of Spectacle Island. A bit north of the central tower where you turn the power on. East of it is another structure by the shore which is fine but I have tried mark for delete and another scrap mod, scrap commonwealth, they erased a couple pieces. I heard you can scrap everything but if you do it loads everything slower in spring cleaning but it may be worth it if it works but am worried about the loss of FPS. Long explanation why it does this. But will this even do it or does anyone have any suggestions of another mod or command? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  24. Am I missing a way to read scripts? Trying to track down where the paint mixer creates green paint from blue and yellow. I found the script name in a FO4Edit field but can't read the actual process. Not being able to read the full code is a huge wall I'm encountering often.
  25. The title says it all, I dont know why the game crashes, a couple hours ago I was playing without problems and now it crashes on startup. I ran BOSS and it gives me one error telling me I dont have Dawnguard, which is true. The problem is, in nexusmodmanager, in the plugins page, the rebirth monster.esp is disabled and in the mod section I CANT FIND IT. I'm at a loss, any help would be greatly appreciated
