Every time I start a new game using the Alternate start mod after creating a character and choosing my new life it lets me approach the city of solitude a little bit then the game CTDs no warning or anything I've tried to make a bash patch but when I do that it makes it so my game starts and shows the dragon but the menu buttons don't show up, my load order is found below if anyone could help me it'd be greatly appreciated, thanks. Hello, i'm having a problem with my Skyrim game and i hoped collective wisdom could save me (because i'm a quiche with informatics). My game will not stop crashing to desktop. I've tried : uninstalling/installing it, uninstall/install all the mods, charge the game from a manual save… I did the NMM update, too ! I'm mostly sure my game does not have conflincting modds, and i have a computer with 8GoRAM and more than sufficient disk space and requirement. I'm very lost and would really appreciate any help ! I had to update my game from 1.10.26 to 1.10.50 (Forgot I had the updates set to manual on steam lol.) I've updated the mods that required updating, including F4SE. Now when I go to open the game using F4SE it will not boot for me. I've tried with and without mods active and still crashed. I can run the game through steam, but that's about it. How do I go about fixing this? Help plz, thank you.

I'm experiencing an issue with planted crops from my settlements disappearing into thin air. This is irritating at best but game breaking at worst... This has currently happened with Abernathy Farm, Oberland Station and now Sanctuary Hills, where I return to find all the planted crops gone. They are visually nonexistant and they are not stored in the workbench, they are just gone. For the most part. I first experienced this issue with Abernathy Farm and doubted myself, thinking I had scrapped or stored them and just didn't remember. How ever, when I was in the process of planting new crops, I came across an invisible tato plant that I was given the option to interact with but could not see and as soon as I did try to interact with it my game subsequently crashed. With Abernathy Farm and Oberland Station, the crops that disappeared or glitched out were ones preplanted by the settlers there, how ever, I've just experienced this issue at Sanctuary Hills now as well, where a variety of crops that I had personally planted are now gone. Could this be the work of some enemy mod? I have Snap'n Build and Homemaker installed, but no mod specifically for crops and planters, so I don't understand why this is happening or what could be causing it.

Let's keep it plain and simple in list for. What I Use TES5Edit LOOT Mod Manager 110 Mods TES5Edit: Used it to clean my .esm files Loot: Used it to sort my plugin order in mod manager Mod Manger: To manage my mods obviously Mods I use: Check the attachments. 1-5. Top to bottom. Now for the problem: First and foremost, I started vanilla skyrim and played til I got to the point where you kill you're first dragon outside of whiterun and than go back to the Jarl and tell him you killed the dragon and you're dragonborn. I saved by game when I was in dragonsreach. Than I modded the **** out of skyrim and came back to the save and guess what, it was working perfectly. No issues at all with the mods I had installed in dragonsreach. Now when I tried exiting into whiterun from dragonsreach (which is a room in whiterun), skyrim crashed to desktop. Came back to a different save this time in fact this save was saved at the tower where you killed your first dragon, no issues at all, but it would crash when you get close to whiterun. So I thought "Hey maybe this issue is only whiterun and all the other cities work", nope. Tried using the "coc" command and going to riften and any other city and it always crashed. But, something that did work was teleporting into rooms that were in the city. Like a house or something inside of whiterun. But physically exiting the house and roaming around whiterun or any city it would crash. Appreciate some help guys. That's all.

The game will silently CTD without giving me any error notification. Hey guys, here's my situation, need help Ive been modding for awhile with 3, nv, and skyrim and just started to mod 4. So I have been having issues the last day or two where if I try to load a save in game I will get a CTD about a second into the loading screen. This also happens if I die and it tries to load the last save. I've updated my mods and used LOOT which said everything was ok. It's just started happening recently like I said and it seems to only happen on one of my characters. I have the papyrus logs here as well. I tried to stop what was causing the crash but can't seem to pin it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated :smile: Papyrus log

I have a heavily modded fallout 4 and I am able to play it comepletely crash free except once I get to diamond city for the first time, I can enter the city perfectly fine but when I try to leave via the door or by fast traveling my game crashes to the desktop. I have so many mods trying to find which one would be a nightmare. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay so I was having problems with crashes around Riverwood and I found out that it was because I didn't have an SKSE.ini file, I made one and had to start a new game because it was incompatible with my old saves, everything was going fine in the intro sequence, character creation, and the Helgen fight. I was walking with Hadvar to Riverwood and lo and behold the game CTD's once I kill the two wolves and continue on the road. One thing I noticed was that the blood that comes out of the wolves and lands on the ground has no texture and is just black squares, and that one of Hadvar's items turns blueish purple which indicates no texture. From what I've read online people are saying that's caused by the GPU overheating but I can say without a doubt that isn't the case for me. My temps at the time of the crash on my GPU were 115º Farenheit. The only way I can play the game currently is by deleting the SKSE.ini file and I'm able to play on my older saves, the problem with that is I don't have the memory patch so if I go near Riverwood I get massive lag and a freeze/crash due to the block overloading. No matter what I do I can't seem to get this f**king game to work properly. I had no issues with the game before I did a clean install of Skyrim and all my mods (I have about 100). I'm really at my wits end here, I can't figure what could possibly be happening I've tried every solution I've found and no matter what I crash whenever I'm in that area. I honestly wouldn't care if the problem area was some far off corner of the map that I'm never in but the fact that it's in an area that's so central to the main story makes the game nearly unplayable. I've cleaned all the DLCs and my mods with TESVedit and LOOT is telling me that I have no conflicts. This problem is making me go insane, all I want to do is play f**cking Skyrim. One more thing I forgot to add was when I don't use the SKSE.ini file I don't get any random crashes or weird missing textures, the only time I crash is due to a memory overload. Real life (college life) got in the way so I had to stop gaming for a while. But now I had the time to game for some hours but unfortunately for me these crashes keeps me from my fun. I'm running on an entry-level laptop with only 2 GB RAM (Intel Pentium CPU 2020M @ 2.40 GHz) and an IGP (Intel HD Graphics) running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. (Perhaps this is the core problem? That my spec is simply just too low) I'm using the latest version of SKSE and ENBoost installed and set with the S.T.E.P. documentations as my reference. My game is modded, sorted with LOOT and has its masters cleaned with the latest version of TESVEdit. You guessed it. I run my game with the settings set all the way to the lowest possible (except my view distances which are set higher, because setting them to low will make the game very annoying) and I also run my game with lower resolution. So I don't experience any performance disturbance. I also mess around with my Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini, which may contribute to the crash. My load order, copied from LOOT: My Skyrim.ini My SkyrimPrefs.ini My game is also much more stable with only the Unofficial Patches installed. I haven't made any Bashed Patch through Wyre Bash or created a merged patch with TESVEdit. Maybe I should have and try running the game again? The CTD is pretty random, ranging from every 15 minutes to an hour (rough estimation) and is unreproducible. Well, actually sometimes I could reproduce it but after I got a workaround the CTD went away (I recall getting CTD everytime I sell loots in Belethor's shop. But I got around by selling in the Drunken Huntsman instead which doesn't crash the game. When I tried selling things again in Belethor's, the CTD is gone) Thank you for the help.

Hello! I've been playing Skyrim on my non-gaming, terrible (actually what am I saying, this thing puts up with so much of my s***) laptop ever since the game came out. I've actually packed this thing up with mods but I'm sure the outcome is a little laugh worthy, and now I'm finally gonna sucker up and update my system so I can be like the cool kids. I'm looking for a well-priced (-$1000 because I'm stingy) prebuilt desktop and/or gaming laptop. I don't need to run this thing on Ultra, but I'm looking for something that can hold my 30+ mods with not a lot of trouble and look pretty good while doing it. I like the laptop for mobility, but a desktop is without a doubt a better choice when it comes to this stuff- have I mentioned I'm difficult? I've been looking at some Laptops and Desktops (Asus, Acer, etc) but I would really like some opinions of your own thoughts and what you guys prefer. Thanks in advance!

So I've been having trouble with CTDs a lot lately, and I have no idea what to do about it. It only seems to happen when I come into proximity of a large city. Rarely around villages does it happen, but always when I'm getting near a hold capital. Please help. Specs, Usage and LO I was going to include a txt doc with the papyrus log from the last crash, (a game session that lasted about 20 seconds, I might add), but the file was too big to upload.

So i decided to go back to Skyrim after a long break ( couple of months ) and also decided to install a few mods using Nexus Mod Manager. After installing like 2 mods (does not include my other mods) i got into the game and then i crashed a few moments later. Hi guys, I have a minor problem which involves ctd's after loading a save game. I'm using the word minor, because it doesn't happen very often. Restarting my laptop temporarily fixes the problem. If I don't restart, the crashes will keep happening. The crashes began after I installed enhanced character edit, so that mod is most likely the culprit. But how and why is what I want to know. I really want to keep that mod. I've ran loot and cleaned all the esp's.

EDIT- Warnings and errors are in the (large) Papyrus log, but I'm not quite sure how to make sense of them. I recently got into Skyrim again, and after getting quite a bit of issues all sorted out and making sure my mods are compatible, I started playing. I have a decently large list of mods, but to my knowledge, there are no compatibility issues, and everything has been sorted, checked, and cleaned with the latest versions of TES5Edit and LOOT. I run Skyrim on: Windows 7 Ultimate i7 3770K Quad Core GTX 660 Ti 2GB 8GB DDR3 RAM 250GB SSD w/54GB free space My settings are on Ultra except for Shadows (turned to low; read on a much older post that this fixed CTDs for many people, thought I would try). I have the latest version of Skyrim, Dawnguard, and the Official High-Res Textures, as well as the unofficial patches for all of these. My game runs quite smoothly and my fps is quite good, apart from occasional stuttering and random CTDs. I've installed ENBSeries/Boost as well, but it didn't do much, so I overwrote it with Stakado's ENB, with seemed to give me less CTDs, and make my game look nicer. I've also optimized Skyrim, my computer, my computer's memory, and my CPU according to Skyrim Project Stability. I've also installed the latest versions of Skyrim Startup Memory Editor, Fores New Idles for Skyrim, Skyrim Script Extender, Rogue Script Remover, and Safety Load. Seeing as I just started my game this morning, I haven't had much exposure to mods except for those that alter the game from the beginning (textures, animations, races, gameplay changes, etc.). Although, this probably doesn't mean much, since those mods I haven't been exposed to yet are installed anyways. I've only made it so far as Bleak Falls Barrow, and my game has crashed within 2-6 minutes of entering it several times. Before this, I've had occasional CTDs, but they haven't been as frequent or persistent. I use Nexus Mod Manager to download, install, and manage my mods. Due to everything running smoothly apart from my CTDs, I find it difficult to believe that I am unable to run the mods I currently am (especially since not too many of them are huge mods that change a ton of stuff). However, being the mostly-novice modder that I am, I could be incorrect about any number of things. Other than that, here are two copies of my SkyrimPrefs.ini (one from games folder and one from steam folder, not sure which one matters, so I'll put both here), as well as my load order from LOOT: SkyrimPrefs from /my games/skyrim/: SkyrimPrefs from /common/skyrim/skyrim/: Load Order from LOOT: EDIT- Important part here: After enabling my Papyrus log and crashing once more, a giant log was created. I honestly don't know how to make sense of it, but I see some warnings relating to Serana, Wearable Lanterns, Hunting in Skyrim (although I uninstalled it previously), something that starts with SF, and something relating to Spell Crafting. I'm going to post the entire log (all from one play and crash) here. Help is extremely welcomed, as I'm not sure what to do about these (don't even know what SF is, for that matter): Due to the massive Papyrus log, I'm wondering whether or not it would simply be faster to reinstall everything from scratch. If so, is there anything I should avoid installing? I'm also guessing that some of these errors may have come from me installing some mods in the process and then uninstalling them later. If you think any additional information would be useful for solving this, please tell me and I'll try to post it here. As I've tried a number of things, am quite a novice modder (I apologize, I'm still learning and new to all of this), and would like to play my game without constant annoyance, any help would be greatly appreciated, whether it be something I have to install once or do manually before each start-up. I have a very peculiar problem with my Skyrim game. It's not really much of a problem, since i still get to play my Skyrim in the end of the day, but it just makes me curious to know why this happens. Back in the day, when Skyrim was just released in 2011, I downloaded a pirated version of Skyrim and used that to eventually install mods (those were darker days). During this period, Skyrim ran perfectly with no crashes at all and I could even run it on full 1366x768 resolution, with decent FPS. I play on a Laptop and it barely meets the minimum requirements, so it was surprising to see how well it ran. Eventually, I got a part-time job, learned to save money, stopped pirating games, and bought the Skyrim Legendary Edition. But it ran much slower than the pirated version, and this was on the same laptop. I guess this is because the additional content added by the DLCs and the High-res texture pack; where my weak laptop couldn't handle as much. So now I play on a 1024x600 resolution and it runs much better. However, with mods, I constantly get CTDs. I've done all the memory patches and fixes to get rid of these CTDs and sometimes they don't occur; but in some instances, the CTDs occur just in minutes of playtime. I've reinstalled my game frequently because of this, even limited my mods to below 80 and the CTDs still happened. Most recently, I've switched to Mod Organizer from NMM because everyone says it's much better, and I thought that this may be one of my problems. But CTDs still happen. Until I noticed a pattern. It turns out that everytime i start my laptop to play skyrim, it has to to CTD like 3 to 4 times, until eventually, it can run absolutely fine. Like everytime i start my laptop, I usually take 10 minutes until i start steam and play skyrim. But when I first start skyrim and load the game, there are always these huge lag spikes and quick freezes here and there like the game is loading something. In general, the FPS is fine (above 30), but still It runs terribly on occasion. I assume this is lag from scripts. Then eventually it CTDs. However, after repeating this process a few times (re-running the game until it eventually crashes), eventually there is one instance of the game that runs perfectly. No noticeable script lag, quick load times, constantly above 30 fps, and I could play for hours without a single CTD. And this has been happening to me consistently. I boot up the laptop, wait a few minutes, start skyrim through mod organizer and skse, game crashes, i run it again and it crashes again a couple of times, and boom, it runs perfectly. So it's not really a big problem because I still get to play skyrim. I'm just curious to know if anyone has any idea why this happens? And keep in mind, this only happens with Skyrim, all my other games run perfectly. Is it because my laptop just has a slow startup? Has my laptop not aged well? It's quite an old laptop, had it since 2009. ASUS, 4 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD5145 1 GB Vram, Intel i5-430m 2.26 Ghz, 320 GB HDD.

I've run into a bad time w/ CTD's, this one involves crashing just after sleeping or waiting, I need to sleep because I use RND. I can't go on with the game because of it :sad: I wanna get immersed! :smile: I love this game, will do whatever it takes to get it right. Has already taken days, but I know it's worth it. Skyrim seems to crash after using any bed to sleep, or after waiting. This is my mod list, 175 active plugins (which I think is a very good list I've put together,) & Papyrus log below... A long time ago, I was doing the Pale Lady quest, and I defeated her in Frostmere Depths. However, when I tried to leave, the game CTD. It was not random either. Whenever I loaded up the save and tried to leave, the game CTD. I believe I reloaded a save before I started the quest and redid the entire thing. Now, in my current run, I am doing the quest again. However, this time, the glitch happened when I tried to enter Frostmere Depths (from Frostmere Crypt). When I go to the door, the game CTD when I open it. However, when I try to reload the save in order to try again (probably, expecting the same thing, though), the game CTD during the load (no interaction yet on my part). Is my only option to reload an even earlier save, or is there another method?

I experience CTDs very randomly (varies from 10 mins to around 1-2 hours) ingame. I'm not sure if it's because of load order, compatibility issues/lack of compatibility patch or due to my low spec PC. As far as I've experienced there isn't any apparent cause in game since my game has crashed a lot while doing different things. From walking, opening inventory, drinking a potion, and more that I can't recall. PC specs are: AMD A4-4020 APU dual core 3.2 GHz AMD Radeon HD 7480D (Integrated chip) 4GB RAM (3.2-3.3 GB usable because Integrated chip takes up RAM) Windows 7 64bit HDD has 250+ GB free space Load Order + List of Active mods are shown in the attached IMGs Not sure what else is needed. Hello all, today ive came across a rather game crippling CTD. Every single time I scroll on or over a note/letter in the inventory it crashes to my desktop. All my mod manager ( Mod organizer ) said was not saving lists during directory update. I don't know what that means exactly but I wasn't sure if it tied to my problem. I mod skyrim quite a bit but hadn't installed any new mods that changed anything like letters or notes but just in case I unplugged the books of skyrim mod and still had CTD. Please help, I cannot start the dragon born quest without it! Please get back ASAP! Thank you! :sad: UPDATE- Now the error seemed to stop but caused a bunch of new ones.. Now all my items ive stored places have vanished and when I try to put armor on mannequins or books on shelves it CTD. Any advice..?

Hello everyone; I have a rare problem in Oblivion, I can't play it, and I not know why. when I try to launch the game, appear the black-window, and later of some little seconds, unexpectedly crashing to the desktop with a window that say something like: "windows need close the application Oblivion.exe". I will write some things that can help if is a problem in the game or is a problem with the hardware of my computer: - Windows XP - Intel Pentium 4, CPU 2.26 GHz - 1024 MB Ram - DirectX 9.0c - ATI Radeon 7000 Series AGP I try using the Oldblivion, but have the same problem; if is my pc the problem... how I can fix it?, I suspect of the ATI Radeon. Hey guys im looking for some help with Crashes, I have lots of mods installed but they should be all patched together and working fine unless I messed something up, I usually get crashes on level up but I sometimes get random crashes. My computer is well able too play fallout 3 on ultra with graphics mods so I figure its my Load order thats doing it. The game is patched fully and its the goty edition so all dlc is there.
