  1. Hello So I'm determined to have a Skyrim DeathHound follow me around in FO4 instead of Dogmeat (for reasons), but I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing it. I was able to swap out Dogmeat's model with the DeathHound and have all the bones/nodes, textures, etc... appropriately named and lined up in NifScope, but I'm a little lost on what I'm supposed to do after that, as when I place all the meshes, textures and the .nif file in the appropriate FO4 folders, Dogmeat is invisible instead of showing up as a DeathHound. I have a feeling I'm missing a step or two, but none of the tutorials I've been able to find so far have been any help. If someone could maybe help me with a step-by-step on how to get a dogmeat replacer working I'd greatly appreciate it.

So I have a request, I love having Dogmeat with me but I think he lacks a personal skill or flavour other than grapple, I would love to have him either scare away other enemy dogs or make him bark at them to make them friendly like the skill we got with Wasteland whisperer but passive if you have him with you. So when enemy dogs comes in reach of him he barks at them and they are either pacified, going friendly or run away, this would also work on mutant dogs etc as they also are a dog faction and they are like my greatest fear in the game :/ Thank you in advance!
  3. Hi all, I am creating a new dog follower based on Dogmeat files. I have been able to clone it, change the name and dialogues and set some basic actions following tutorials and online resources. Also, a custom model has been created, changing the shape of dogmeat and adding different textures. The issue is that I can't get how to include the new .nif model inside the mod. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  4. Anyone care to model-fuse supermutant body with Dogmeat head, make him a good strong-ripped boy, leave the actions (attack/sleep/play with teddy, and all that) as dog but, make him walk on 2 legs?
  5. I know there is this mod which adds a (bugged) NPC to get dogmeat early without needing to go to Scrapyard. But what about "moving" the entire scene when we find him to Springvale? Its closer to Vault 101, can be easily visualized as a early moment in the game (since dogmeat is featured a lot with LW), and Springvale small interest in the game (aside the monastery and Silver). So, can someone do that? Thanks a lot!
  6. Hello! I'm trying to make a human version of Dogmeat, I just changed Dogmeat's "Race" in creation kit in to that of a human's and set his gender as female. All works well in game, he turns in to a human female but he doesn't bark or make any sounds (other than constant, quiet, ambient, panting noise). I also tried the "Dogmeat as a Human Female" mod with the original voice feature and it also doesn't work. I tried changing many things in Creation Kit too but non of them worked, tried to copy paste the "HumanRace" on to the "DogmeatRace" and it resulted in some funny weird glitch where Dogmeat just hovers around with a floating human head above him lmao.   7. My wife and I really like foxes, especially red foxes, currently my Dogmeat is a pug (Pugmeat), and before that a Siberian Husky...but it struck me earlier today...why not make him a fox? maybe make him stealthier and more cunning, and ofcourse look like a fox?

So something small that's always kinda bothered me; Nuka-World gives us two new toys, the Souvenir Teddy Bear & Souvenir Sloth and i had given the teddy bear to Dogmeat expecting him to chew it to death and play with it... but he doesn't. Weird thing to be irked by I know, but does anyone have any idea how i could make it so Dogmeat actually does play with them when they're in his inventory? I have no modding experience whatsoever so better yet, would anyone be willing to do this? Cheers to anyone who responds :D

The idea is that you could instruct dogmeat to look (or not look) for certain type of items passively, food, ammos, weapons, drugs, mines and other traps, foes and collectibles, maybe have different types of Barking when it's dangerous (Foes, mines and traps) and when it's not. That would make the furball even more relevant and it would be more or less Lore-friendly.
  10. Hello community, I have never posted anything here, but i really enjoy the work you've done. Long story short, i'm a big fallout fan from a miserable latin american country called Venezuela. Maybe you've heard of it. Anyway, my dog passed away today and i'm really devastated. He was a white golden retriever. I would really love to see him again and wander the commonwealth in fallout 4 with him. If any modder out there can help me please send me a PM with a couple of examples (links) of mods that can be proven to be done by you (or your team) and letting me know if there's any references i could send you.   11. Is it possible to let dogmeat do finisher moves right at the beginning of the battle, no matter if he kills the enemy? I haven't found any script or creation kit reference to manipulate this. Does anyone know how to do it?
  12. It would be very cool if someone could make a Border Collie retexture of Dogmeat.   14. I modded Animal Friend Rank 1 to make all animals non-hostile. But so far, it only works for me alone. If I take Companions, the animals instantly become aggressive again. There are two modifications I would like to make. The first is to give Dogmeat the Animal Friend faction, regardless of whether or not he is accompanying me. If it hasn't already been done, I'd like Settlement dogs and other animals to also possess this faction. Secondly, if it is possible, I want the Pacification to extend to Companions while they are with me, so they are not provoking conflict with animals. But I want them to not have it innately, like with Dogmeat, just so he can have the faction alone.
  15. I would like to see 2 things if this is even possible. 1. can dogmeat be changed into a big cat such as a lion, tiger, leopard, panther, lynx or jaguar? I know he can be turned into a cat. i was wondering if there was a way to take that cat model and make it bigger and stretched a lil to look like a big cat? if so that would be great :) 2. of course standalone versions of this would also be great so that you could have a couple versions of cats with you if you chose too. like can can have different dogs at this time. I don't know how to mod and figured i could put a request out there. since i am sure quite a few people would like to see this besides myself. i just don't know if it is even a possible mod to make.   16. A quick way to order dog meat to find enemies or items! (Key binds?) Voiced version could be added on a later version(character saying "See any badguys?" when issuing the command.)
  17. I have a large pit/mastiff and I'd love to have her replace dogmeat. Can anyone do that? Her name is Karma, which is pretty fitting for Fallout so I think anyone that likes pits would use it. I'd be glad to pay some one a commission for their time and talent. This would need to be ported to Xbox. Thanks!   18. Request is the title: Dogmeat would look (and ideally, sound) like Mutant Hound. I've tried to do this myself using the Creation Kit but I always get overwhelmed and/or lost (simply using the FEVhound race and corresponding skin result in loss of all dialogue options). Thanks...   19. Hey. The past few weeks, we have seen quite a few high quality armor and clothing mods pop up. Even without GECK. But so far, there has only been re-textures for Dogmeat. How about we turn Dogmeat into a special forces service dog? :D I got a few ideas for some tactical harnesses, goggles, collars and a few other things. But i lack the skill to make this mod myself.   20. Try to imagine Dogmeat now has commentary. Those places where your follower would make a comment, about eating a body, looting something they point out, in dialogues blerting out an opinion. This mod would allow for Dogmeat to go RUH UH! when he refuses an order. Yell out ZOMBIES! when ambushed by ghouls. Saying RUH OH! when a radscorpion busts through the ground. If makers of this mod got really into it or got help, they could go through samples of Scooby Doo and create "lore friendly" dialogues and even companion quests. This also opens up the idea to make a questchain when the creation kit arrives to be set in either the Museum of Witchcraft or a custom haunted mansion with PG puzzles and sleuthing. There can also be an Astro from the Jetsons version.

  22. With all the mutations happening in the fallout world, I think Cerberus would fit in nicely. People would think, "Hey, that's just a three headed dog. Kinda like our two headed cow!" Little do they realize, that the beast that faithfully follows and protects you is the very same demon hound of Hades. ------------- I've looked around but I didn't find any mods that make a Cerberus dogmeat. I think a mod like this could be welcome and is well within the scope of you talented modders!
  23. I would be awesome if dogmeat found items around you that you had marked in a workstation. For example if you were looking for aluminium, the notification would come up in top left the dogmeat found something. Dogmeat would then lead you to the item.
  24. Creation Kit is right around the corner, but I've seen a few mods already that people have managed to add stuff to existing meshes (seriously guys, fantastic work! Can't wait to see you guys with the CK) Buuuut What about more accessories for Dogmeat? Especially sunglasses? How funny it would be to have you, a follower and Dogmeat all sporting dark shades as you roam the Commonwealth? A thought, needless to say, but I certainly would love to see a bunch new accessories or even armored ...armor for our favorite Shep.
  25. I've been trying to look up any of the mod ideas that occur to me before posting, and most have been mentioned but I haven't seen one for a mangy Dogmeat reskin yet. I prefer him as a German Shepherd, so that's taken care of, but he looks too healthy for a wastelander! He looks like he was raised on Purina! Now, I'm not suggesting that Dogmeat should look like one of the wild mongrels, but if he were a little rough around the edges -- a little more 'wasteland survivor' and a little less 'best in show' -- I'd love it. I have this mental image of my faithful mutt with saddlebags, matted, patchy fur and an eye patch. Rooster Cogburn as a dog, basically. True Grit.
