  2. Hi newbie here. Let me explain my situation. Just play Fallout New Vegas in the past 3 weeks I guess. I have base + all DLC via Epic Games. Since the week 2 I play the game, I realized the Achievements System on Epic Games does not work as intended. I unlocked many Achievements in-game but the Epic Games launcher never unlocked it. The Launcher keep syncing Save Game and progress to their Cloud so I assumed the Cloud System is okay. FYI. I almost complete the game, on the Hoover Dam quest. I have read many complaints about this bad function from the Epic Game Store/Launcher. Some explain the problem is because the Syncing mechanism is work after closing the game, not like Steam that progress can be count while the game is running (I'm not sure if it's true). So I asked the Epic Games Discord Mod, he said it was not true, Epic Syncing works like steam. So, I did submitted ticket to Bethesda and explain this problem, Bethesda CS cannot help anything. So I talked to Epic Games support, he guided me to the step where he told me to Verify the game and clear cache Epic Games Launcher. I did both of it. But when I reopen the game, it was closed it self. I don't know why., so i run the Verify again 4x. Still the same. --------------------------------------------------------- After all this problem, I still talked on the Epic Games Discord Server, to the point where they conclude the Epic Games Overlay System does not work, that's why the Achievement progress not counted. And so on, the game still closed it self. So I disabled all the mods on Vortex. And the game running also the Epic Games Overlay it also worked. The conclusion is, Achievements cannot work because I'm using mods, at least on Epic (I just learn this today). I don't know on Steam, since i don't have games on Steam that required mods. And the game won't open with mods enabled. ------------------------------------------ The question is, how do I play the game with mods again? Since using mods cause the games crash now after I Verify the game. Any work on how to deploy mod? Because i don't know which mod that cause the game crash, no indicator error or missing dependencies on Vortex. Many thanks.
  3. For those that haven't seen the 2013 Movie "Epic", it is mostly a "Fern Gully" - type of Movie that supports Saving The Environment. The picture I posted above is that of "Leafmen Archers", they are the Soldiers protecting & raising the forest. (The Good Guys) There are a few swords, armor types, shields, etc in the Movie (from both sides) and even the Magics of the Movie would all be supported & played (easily) by a Bosmeri Elf or a Druid - type of Player. Just thought I would throw this out there & see if anything comes of it.
  4. I played Rise of the Tomb Raider on the Epic Games Store and modding did not work with it. I'm wondering if the same is true for Shadow of the Tomb Raider?
  5. Are there any tips or tricks to getting Vortex to find Steam games? I have Nier Automata in my steam folder, but even when I navigate directly to its exact folder, Vortex cant find it. It did find FF7R in my Epic Games, but the mods I downloaded don't show up when I play it. Is it because these games are launched by Steam and Epic respectively, rather than running on their own? The shortcuts that run the games are URL links, the games wont run from the .exe files in the game folders. Is this the whole issue? Any ideas about what can I do about it?
  6. Hello I've never used mods before; but I am good with computers; hardware and software - looking for some advice. Most my games are on Steam - but I have quite a lot of games on other Launchers for PC.... I want to mod mostly pretty modern PC games like the Tomb Raider Reboot Series, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Far Cry Series, Bioshock Series, Crysis Series, Wolfenstein Reboot Series, GTA V etc etc etc. Can someone point me to a definitive thread/guide on using mods like Nexus etc on Epic (whether video, website guide etc)? Same question for other types of mod systems - which do you recommend for PC? I have a few good games on Epic - but I'm wondering should I cough up and buy them again on Steam just to use the mods (but I'd rather avoid this as I don't have much cash). Is it that much more likely to actually work at all and/or work properly on Steam vs Epic; and/or that much easier on Steam vs on Epic? Or is it pretty much the same success rate? BTW - do mods work for other game Launchers like games which use Steam or Epic - but then further open them in the Ubisoft Launcher or just the Ubisoft Launcher on its own? Similar question for EA/Origin Launcher games... What about modern games sold as Microsoft/Windows Games ? Any other Launchers I'm forgetting for PC? Same questions again for Xbox Game Pass for PC - do ANY mods work with those games? Really interested in this as I will be renewing my Xbox Game Pass for PC this week ? For ref I have a spec'd out 12700K, 3070 Ti etc running Win 11. Any other advice or links etc to help me figure this stuff out - would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help
  7. Hi Epic Launcher 1, start game 2, in game buy Green Cities 3, DLC is marked as bought / used, clicking on it show "in library" Vortex 1, start game 2, DLC not marked as owned/used 3, click on buy shows epic page "in library" I'll try to manually move some files :-D
  8. Like the topic says, Skyrim deserves an Epic poem like The Odyssey . We can't provide that, but below is a rough cut attempt anyway. Please forgive errors in wording, rhyme, meter, spelling, and time line. This is meant for fun and enjoyment and we are certainly not Homer. Not the Greek, and not even the Simpson either. Skyrim has so much richness that will be hard to ever put into just wrods. Still the quest challenge have been given and we will undertake the journey. As there are spoilers we offer this here, don't know of a way to do this without them. Or you I will slay!" You speak of your need for magical power and knowledge If you pass her test she lets you in the Mage's College You meet instructors and students and begin your studies Do D'jargo's quest and and you can be buddies After lessons your professor says one day. We must go to Sarthal, it's safe with nothing to slay. Thru snow storms you and other students make your way. You asked them what they think about Sarthal and they all have things to say. You search this dark place through passages dark and long You don't feel safe despite the Mage Professor's song Then you get traded in a cage, that didn't take long.   9. You know, one thing I always wanted was for my one of my main weapons in Fallout New Vegas to fire energy rings, instead of ball lightning. Ring lightning I suppose, or a tauroid. There's this classic energy weapons mod for New Vegas and it has the YK-32 Pulse Pistol in it, and it's a classic, badass looking raygun. https://www.nexusmod...gas/mods/38742/ The particle is cool, but I would prefer a purple ring blast instead. Don't change the stats or anything, or the speed, or the sound, don't change anything but the way the particle effect looks. So that it's more accurate to the actual pulse pistol and rayguns in general. If any of you can make this a really cool ring that would be wonderful. If you need any added info, please ask for it. I would also like to maybe see another raygun in New Vegas, only this one is so epic it's going to have it's own custom stats. The gun I am referring to is known as the Righteous Bison. It’s an epic ray gun from Team fortress 2, and quite honestly it’s a GALACTIC SHAME this gun hasn’t been somehow implemented in Fallout as a mod weapon. It’s such a Fallout gun. See, originally the Bison had 4 shots, which you can recharge using the pump at the back. It’s a pump action raygun. That being said however, the projectiles moved slow as f*#@ and it’s a horrible gun in most combat scenarios, as it relies on situational ambush tactics. It lacks versatility. HOWEVER. Man VS Machine does it justice...Somewhat.I know Team Fortress 2’s Bison only has 4 shots, and slow projectiles but this New Vegas version should have 8 shots, each and every shot being rechargeable, as well as the projectiles moving MUCH faster. Faster than a plasma bolt in Fallout but not bullet or laser fast. Fast but still moderately dodgeable. And as I said, if you fire off 1 shot, 2 shots, 7 shots, or all 12 shots, you need to reload each and every shot individually, but the pump reload should be fairly quick. That being said, I always loved the way the rings of energy from the Bison look. They look badass, and I have sources showing the way the gun operates in-game, as I've shown you all. The effects it has on it’s targets in Fallout would either be the same as in TF2 ONLY for critical hits (if you can port it) or just an ashy effect . Otherwise it just hits them like laser or plasma would, maybe even add a flashy electric effect. So it's a rechargeable weapon, it can't break, and it has a fairly quick projectile speed, fire rate, etc. Now for damage. 50 damage. Definitely a lot, but this baby is a true FIERCE raygun that puts normal Fallout weapons to f*#@ing shame, so it should do lots of damage. So...What do you fine people think? Can this be done? It would mean, so, SO much to me if both ideas can be brought to reality.

  12. What I am think of is a one(or two, but preferably one) handed sword that gives decent buffs but drains your health as compensation. Buffs like Increased damagehigher attack speedDetect life (living things only preferably)Regain health/stamina/magicka on killincreased movement speed.Bloodskaal blade effectPoisoned One thing that would make the mod better is the condition that the longer the blade is out, the stronger the effects become. (first 10 seconds) Buffs work at 10% effectiveness. Drains 1 health per second(10-20 seconds) Buffs work at 20% effectiveness. Drains 5 health per second(20-30 seconds) Buffs work at 50% effectiveness. Drains 10 health per second(30+ seconds) Buffs work at 100% effectiveness. drains 20 health per secondHere are a few Optional things that I wouldn't really complain if you didnt feel like adding. They would just make the mod that much better Debuffs for having the sword sheathed for too long (Screen getting darker with the notification "The blade hungers for blood" or something like that followed with damaged stamina/magicka regen. kinda like the vampire hunger debuffsCool effects when sheathing/unsheathing the sword. Like the screen goes darker for a second. Scabbard glowing. Sound effects.Some little voice acting. (Nothing major. just like when the sword is unsheathed it says something. Something like "The darkness" in the Darkness games. Lines like "I FEED" or "I NEED BLOOD" when unsheathed and "The hunger remains" or "I'm Sated..... For now (maybe a evil laugh here)" when sheathed. These 2 to 4 lines could make the mod all the more ominous. Giving the blade a demonic vibe to it.(This one I doubt anyone could do but if you can that would be amazing) The sword transforming on unsheathing. Looking like a darker dragon great-sword( downsized to look like a one handed sword.) when sheathed Then transforming into a thicker darker blade with a eye on the hand-guard. Similar looking to Miraak's sword.Blade punishing you for having it out for no reason. Such as If you unsheathe it then re-sheathe it without killing anything the screen will go black and you take 50 damageIf you dont want to do the transforming design I have another Idea for a look of it in my head. For a handle It will have the top part of the Wabbajack. The 3 different faces I mean. The actual handle can be anything but this would be just above the crossguard. Inside the mouths of the wabbajack faces are eyes(you can just take the ones from the Miraak sword). The blade is a dark red. Kinda like the bloodskaal blade. for the actual blade type Im thinking a downsized dragon bone greatsword. For a scabbard Im thinking something that looks like The Dagon's Razor sheath. Instead of a conjuration symble there would just be a Eye I know that's asking for a lot and I doubt it will be possible to get all of this in one mod. However just Imagine how epic this would be for ANY evil type character.
  13. This idea comes from a Mod called "Hawke Blood Smear Face Paint". It makes me think about Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck from Bleach. The mod idea is to make an outfit of this character, one piece clothe and a Skull helmet. I don´t really know how to do it, but I think it may be done with CBBE, or outfit studio.   14. I just had a nice idea if i do say so myself! I recently re-watched "Beowulf" and the dragon fight ofcause reminded me of skyrim. The whole idea of mounting a dragon to kill it has been done in skyrim. where a killing move consists of jumping onto it's head and stabbing/slashing/smashing it to death from it's own back. I like that kill move a lot :tongue: But what i would really like to see was even more dramatic kill moves! One where the player "mounts" the dragon either graping a hold of it's tail/wing/feet etc. and the dragon takes off to the sky. The kill move will then be a longer "cinematic" event just like the normal kill moves but longer. where the player slayes the dragon in mid-air before it plummets to the ground just like when the dragon normally crash lands! The player would then jump off the dragon or be thrown off it as it hits the ground. In general i am a sucker for kill moves since i find it a bit more epic when battles end with an awesome decapitation and so on. But since the dragon fights should be Skyrim's bread and butter. I really think it could be nice with a new alternative to the kill moves we have all seen about a 1000 times now.   15. So I Really like the look of the Paladin Epic 2.0 sword: Nightbane, Sword of the Valiant. I would love to try to mod this myself, but don't have the time, or the ability. I will try to include lots of good pictures for reference.
  16. You know the only mod I always wanted to have in skyrim was the "Davy Jones from the pirates of the Caribbean playable model" but unfortunately no one has thought about it, so I strongly recommend any expert mod designers to make this mod and share it on www.nexusmods.com.

  18. So I've been spending the last month getting my Skyrim to look exactly the way I want, and now am focusing on enhancing the gameplay. The two mods I'm looking at are SkyRE (Skyrim Redone) And Epic Gameplay Overhaul. I haven't seen any mention on whether or not they're compatible, but it seems to me that they just might be, since SkyRE seems to focus mainly on player development a long with a few new items/creation mechanisms in game, Whilst EGO seems to focus on enemy AI's and newer spells etc. So, before I try both at once and possibly break my game, I was wondering if anyone has both installed and if so tell me how they play together?   19. Hi, my name is Adam I am writing on behalf of my mod development team consisting of me and two other members Benjamin and Clay we work hard and are a close and friendly group... We are currently working on an Upcoming mod that will be DLC sized... We have created a lot of the mod so far but we are in need of people with further knowledge of Papyrus scripting, NPC behaviours for example Idles and way-points. We are also In need of a Quest designer, an author who can take time to write some lore books and some more designers for indoor and outdoor. Maybe even some custom spells? weapons? I cannot give information on the mod for I wish for this to stay quiet till release contact me for more info. Hi there, everybody. so i got this idea about music for skyrim. for Exploration, combat, walking the cities, nightlife, dragon encounter etc. something for each cell, outdoor/indoor/city and for scenes. combat/exploring/nightlife/villages/mountains/dragon encounters and so fourth. the music im suggesting is Celtic music, composed by a skyrim fan himself. the video is 2 hours long. contains festive, relaxing, dramatic, sad, vengeful etc. music.   21. hey, just sayin that there are no mods out there that put three piece suits into skyrim. someone should make one, but Im no good at modding. I am requesting a modern day three piece suit with a fedora or bowler hat helmet, preferably set up as armor but what matters is that suits get put into Skyrim.
  22. No, I am not a scripter No, i am not a Modeler Yes, i can retexture, that is about it. HOWEVER with that said, not knowing how much, or how difficult, the making of said mod would be, I shall post it anyway, the only risk being i will be ignored Falconry: take control of a hawk, owl or falcon (maybe even eagle), depending on skill, to hunt down prey such as rabbits, foxes, and other small game. benefits would be a decreased chance of scaring off the animal before your bird of prey can attack it, and possibly 2x furs (to simulate the more "complete" fur you would obtain from a well executed falcon strike, as opposed to an inaccurate and brutal flurry of arrows). the birds in question would be equippable in place of a weapon, either in main hand or offhand, and would include FNIS compatibility to allow your bird to perch on your arm, as it would in real life. you can then aim at the small game, and click to send the hawk after it (possibly doable using spells, but would require FNIS animations, as well as the ability for your bird to return to your arm afterwards). Hunting strike success would depend on the Marksman, and Sneak skills, with new perks in the marksman tree allowing the use of specific birds (a typical one, such as a peregrine falcon, being the starter). as for obtaining the birds, i really have no idea yet i will NOT make this, as i said, i am no modder, i am merely putting the idea here because it doesn't already exist, and, whether or not it would even be doable, you have to admit, it is a pretty badass idea.
  23. The title is pretty self-explanitory, but specifically, when I go to the "Character Gen Parts" tab, I can't edit the hair at all. My only option is "DEFAULT." I'd also like to know if I can use a specific head morph from Epic Elves' presets as the face for this NPC. Any help is appreciated.
  24. So I randomly thought of a good idea for a mod and got carried away. Ended up taking the entire day up with writing a quest. Then I remembered I know nothing about modding skyrim... at all. I don't even have the creation kit (some stupid javascript glitch that keeps happening) anyway if you have no life outside of skyrim like me then take a look at what I came up with, and if not then enjoy it anyway and hopfully one day somebody will make this mod.
