  1. Hey guys! I made a post on Reddit of an image I put together showing the HUD in Fallout 76. Here's the image in 8K I was advised on posting here as a few people including myself thought it would be a great mod for Fallout 4. Unfortunately when it comes to the technical side of modding I haven't a clue, so if anyone wants to turn this into a Fallout 4 mod and knows how to, let me know and I can provide the assets that I've recreated.   2. Playing the Beta for Fallout 76 and discovered Eye Strain. The Depth of Field settings blur the screen everywhere I look except for the direct center of the monitor. Eyeballs move! Stealth happens! I'm tired of sneaking through tall grass and being unable to see anything other than the grass! I know that there must be an .ini setting somewhere to fix this. I am assuming that it is probably this: [imageSpace] bDoDepthOfField=1 However, I would like the opinion of someone who has modding experience and understands these things. Thanks!
  3. so i've had this idea floating around: fallout 76 adds a LOT of new content to fallout 4 and since they are essentially the same engine i was wondering if it were possible to take 76's world, assets, enemies, weapons, and everything else and port it to fallout 4, allowing people to play both games inside of 4 without the online? i'm not an expert at this kind of thing but if it were similar to TTW all it would take is a legal copy of both games and a way to plug 76's data into the creation engine just speculating honestly. i dread playing 76 and i feel life if i could play it alone with my own modpack and none of the changes it brought i would have a lot more fun with it hopefully if it CAN be done i planted the seeds for it's existence
  4. Have you noticed that some of the outfits from fallout 76 would greatly expand fallout 4? I even seen some outfits that were in the concept art for 4. I would greatly appreciate anyone who can bring cannon variety to the world. I will admit, the swim suit is one of my favorite articles. It would also be sorta vary nice someone can convert the mod for both console users. Thank you.

I think this would be a amazing idea with 76 as a background for lore and would be a very popular mod especially for those who wanted a single player experience in 76 personally I'd love to see new factions armors weapons and game play as well as a main quest and tons of content and side quests what does everyone think also if anyone wants to use this idea that would be amazing
  7. Bethesda Support Leaks Fallout 76 Customer Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Payment Info, & Receipts ....yeah. Yong Yea reports how people providing tickets to get the damn canvas bags they should have gotten in the first place got their tickets and information made publically visible for several hours. If you feel this is important (and related enough to F4, see the title of this discussion), go hit up YouTube and copy/paste the big font words in the searchbox. You'll find it.

I have been watching a few gameplay clips and read a few articles which swing both ways when plastering a 'good' or 'bad' mark on Fallout 76 and yet I still can't decide if I want the game or not. I have a preorder receipt for the game on PC edition (the reason I preordered was to get beta access but ended up becoming swamped by work to before I could even get a chance to grasp the game myself). So, now I'm here.   9. After Fallout 76 content I'd like to see more workshop items, especially structures. We already have some mods like Appalachia Commonwealth with decorations and some clothes and furniture, but I didn't found mod with structures from Fallout 76.
  10. Hi! I've been trying to figure out how to do a conversion of the aforementioned assets, for personal use. Unfortunately, I've found minimal talk on the subject, and I'm not skilled enough to do it without advice or a guide. So, I'm curious if anyone here could rebuild the assets from scratch, so it can be uploaded legally. I'm just really fond of the mansion towers from FO76, among other assets, and I'd love to create a settlement with the assets. Side note: If any of you folks pick up this mod idea, let me know if you have a Patreon for your modding endeavors. I'm willing to support the work to make this happen, given the tier price isn't unreasonable.
  11. i recently checked fo76 on youtube. as i am not a mp gamer and commonly prefer sp experience i try to understand the fo76 fascination in 2023. two questions to start the discussion: what are/can be the reasons to prefer fo76 and to change over from fo4? does fo76 look better or feels better than modded fo4 ? fo76 experienced player comments much appreciated! update apr12th, after six days without any significant and experienced fo76 support here it seems that i asked in the wrong forum or there are simply no arguments to change to fo76. multiplayer capability (with server dependency) and another world space seems to me the only significant pro fo76 argument so far.
  12. I am pretty new to modding in case it isn't obvious. I am trying to form a single .nif that contains the body.nif and hands.nif for a mod. I have followed instructions I've found and moved both into .obj files and combined them in Blender. Then taken the .obj and used Nifskope to save it as a .nif. My problem is that when I open that in-game and use that file I only get polygons of light for a body and hands. I can use the body.nif file just fine, I end up with a body with no hands. I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong, can anyone help or point me in the right direction for a better understanding? Thanks in advance from an old man trying to learn new tricks.

Hi everyone, I've noticed since a long time this problem and it really bother me since some days, the HUD on the PA doesn't show the distance between you and the target (like you may have when not in PA) FOr example, when you're in a daily ops, when you have to run from beacon 1 to beacon 2, when you're not in a PA, you can see the little diamond with "97", meaning you're 97meter (or any other unit) away from the target, but in PA, you can't see this It's "boring" for the beacon ops, but it's really annoying for the "kill the ennemies" ops So if anyone have a mod, or would like to make the mod, I will be really thanksful
  14. i was thinking of making a cool mod which turns fallout 4 into fallout 76 how would this look well everytime you build something some little prick will destory it, everytime you try to quest some group of pricks will kill you over and over and over again so you get the real feel of how fallout 76 will be like. sounds great doesnt it?
  15. Okay, so we know Fallout 76 has some updated engine features and is an online only game. That means, more than likely, no porting Fallout 4 into it like with Tale of Two Wastelands. However, it appears that they are likely using the same file formats since we see recycled meshes, textures, and animations from Fallout 4. With that in mind, would it potentially be possible to copy your Fallout 76 master file into the Fallout 4 Data folder to get access to it's new items and creatures in the CK? Even if we can't get the map, due to the new terrain system, we may be able to introduce some of the features into Fallout 4, and be legal about it since you'd need a copy of Fallout 76 to use the .esps.
  16. In reviewing the Fallout 76 footage from the Xbox conference I saw a very familiar looking barrel on one weapon. So that problem might be addressed.

Hello nexus community, My request is more like a question; Would it be illegal to take stuff such as armor and weapon model, animations sounds and textures thats in fallout 76 to port in on 4 and upload it on nexus even if you credit Bethesda? If its not illegal why it has not yet have been made? I mean it seems like 76 is an open source game. Wouldn't it be awesome to spray muties with mg42? or gun down raiders with 10mm, which by the way made excellently. Also one last question, if its illegal would bethesda accept it or at least "look the otherway" if you ask them that "can we do this?" Seeing as fallout 76 will crash harder than bitcoin did, i wouldn't want all of that stuff to go to waste, people are still playing and modding fallout 4. but i can't see a future like that for 76, unless they make huge changes to it which i highly doubt it will ever happen. It seems to me that 'the game was rigged from the start' for one purpose, we all know what it is...
  18. In an effort to create my first Fallout 76 mod I decided to go straight to the source and edit the SeventySix.esm file directly since all the indirect approaches seemed to be failing miserably. For my purposes I was testing if I could make ammunition sellable since I was tired of just throwing it away. I found that in Fallout 76 they added a flag to ammunition that makes it unsellable. So I went about removing that flag and fixing up the file so it wouldn't have any errors. I managed to get the esm to load and boot the game, however once I selected a character and tried to join a world, the countdown would hit zero and I would be disconnected by the server. I am curious - has anyone else managed to make more progress than I have? Can you get into a world with a modified esm file? If so, what was your trick? My best guess is that they do a quick checksum on the esm file and if it doesn't match they assume it's either corrupt or been hacked and then won't let it load any further. I'm not sure how to get around that if that is in fact the case. It might be something simpler that can be bypassed, in which case I'm all ears if anyone has managed to get a modified esm file to work. Any thoughts or paths forward would be much appreciated. And good luck getting more mods working before official support turns on in like a billion years.

I'm looking all over the pace for a simple tutorial of how to get started modding Fallout 76 and I come across some things in FO4 but still it seems so outdated that I keep shying away and searching for something else. Using SWF files for example? Is that really the approach Bethesda took for allowing mods? Seems strange to jump on that bandwagon but w/e. If someone wouldn't mind pointing me to a simple hello world tutorial and some references I should become familiar with that would be great. One mod I really want to write is a complete item database tool that (tries) to read the items you acquire in game, how they were acquired, where on the map your character is when picked up, and any other meta data I can collect. It's advanced - from reading incoming text, inspection windows, quest results, and then sending that either to a local log file to share and upload later or in real-time with a 3rd party server. Even a Git repository of some mod for FO76 would work - not sure why the community doesn't work together to build these mods in the open. Thanks for your help and references.
  20. Hi everyone. Regardless of how you feel about the game as a whole, the world created by Bethesda for Fallout 76 is well worth exploring in terms of atmosphere and detail. It would be even better if we could get higher quality textures on PC, particularly for certain types of structures and materials. I've seen that there is already a mod to enhance blood textures, but honestly this would be much more interesting. Does anyone here have plans for such a project? Even just using something like the ESRGAN technique could be enough. Thank you in advance and see you in Appalachia!

  23. Warning: this datamine from the game itself. Most likely all this will appear in FO76 in the future, but it's not guaranteed! Manage your expectations accordingly. Introduction: so as we already know, the sealed vaults will be in next DLC of FO76. What kind of content it will be? It will be group content, according to the terminals near their entrances. My speculations, according to my datamine, they will be time based, with a reward in the end also i think it will be with leaderboard, but its just my speculation VAULT 63 Mission of the Vault - unknown Background - disaster due to fire and smoke, i found few dead bodies only, probably all inhabitants was turned into scorcheds or smthing, i dont know yet because there is no enemies at the moment, but a lot junk to loot.   24. This is a request for someone to port the new pipboy 2000 mk vi from fallout 76 to fallout 4. Anyone else want this to be a thing?
