  1. I don't know how small chances are that someone uses these mods both at once, but f**k it, I'm asking anyway.   2. Okay, so. I tried to use the House on the Strip mod, which was a mistake. After uninstalling the mod, I realized the mod likely severed a connection to a cell. Now, when I even go near the door to Vault 21, I get sucked into it as though I am entering it. Rather than dropping me into the Vault, I just get a black screen with the sound of the door opening rapidly, nonstop. I can't even go up to the door itself to get an interaction prompt. I just get pulled right in. I can actually see the Vault when I pause the game, which makes me think it's an issue with the exterior cell and the load door. From what I can tell, I need to fix the cell/load door in GECK or somehow restore the cell/door to its original state. Only problem with that is I am a complete noob when it comes to GECK and pretty much anything technical, nor do I know of any other solutions. Does anyone know either how to fix this, or can point me in the right direction? I would very much like to set foot in Vault 21 again. Much obliged
  3. i'm actually coming here hoping if anyone has a tutorial for getting any and all models from the nexus mod page and being able to put them into blender for things such as posing and animation this search started when i found a mod for joshua graham and i wanted to re-design him to fight into my mascot (god that sounds cringe), as he was one of the characters that inspired me to make my mascot, so i'm hoping someone has a tutorial i can use to get the authentic burned man model into blender also if there's any way we can have some kind of area for just models that can be used in blender or other software would be a good idea, kind of like open3dlab.
  4. So... after Microsoft bought both Obsidian and Bethesda, they can literally "delegate" all future fallout entries to Obsidian. There are no ridiculous trademark issues left to fight for, and for all we know the Fallout franchise can be handed back to their original creators or at least what's left of Interplay staff there. The franchise holder will possibly depend on which company performs better in a given title. Bethesda has at last some serious competition when it comes to Western Open World RPGs, and because of that - and just because of that - we might even get a decent Starfield or Elder Scrolls 6. We'll see just how beneficial for us (gamers as a whole) is these two major studios working under the same roof and fighting for their bosses' favour. According to Eurogamer, talks on a sequel for FNV have already begun. "A lot of people at Microsoft think that this could work and there's a lot of interest to make it happen."   5. I believe I did everything right, but when I try to boot up the game the mods simply dont work. Ive tried starting a new game too.
  6. Hello, I have what I think to be a unique problem with my game, I haven't found anyone with a similar problem. The game runs at a smooth 60FPS, that is until I sneak with a weapon drawn the frames drop to 45FPS and stutters/lags for the rest of the session until I exit the game completely and reload. No matter what I do in the game it will always start to stutter, just sneaking seems to make it happen instantaneously. Even when the game is paused the mouse lags and stutters making it hard to select things in the pause screen. All this even happens with a fresh install of the game, with no mods whatsoever. I've already tried NVAC, NVSR, ENBoost, 4GB Patcher, playing the game in windowed mode, disabling Vsync, setting all my LOD settings to the bare minimum, uninstalling all my mods, and playing the game vanilla with a complete fresh install. None of these worked. I've found a temporary solution on accident though, when I went to press Esc to pause my game I accidentally pressed a Home button on my keyboard which brought up a new window of Google Chrome. After exiting that and un-pausing my game I discovered that the frames went back up to 60FPS and the stutters were gone. That is until I sneak once more, or play the game long enough where it starts to happen again. Considering the fact the mouse stutters in the pause screen, and the weird temporary home button solution I'm starting to wonder if this is a problem with my mouse. Though I'm doubtful the mouse alone can impact the performance of my game so greatly. Specs: I have an ASUS gaming laptop. CPU: i7-7700 GPU: Nvidia 1050Ti RAM: 16gb OS: Windows 10
  7. I want a load order with the most realism, immersion survival and horror elements. I want a load order that has been plenty tested over and over again and never consistently glitches or crashes in any area. what I mean is if there are any crashes or glitches I would like them to be rear. I just don't want any crashes or glitches to defeat the purpose. I would love to have TTW and all the FO3 mods that fit what I am looking for but most FO3 mods are not compatible with NV so I am thinking I will just skip TTW altogether.Please feel very free to ask questions and thank you.
  8. So i was hoping someone had already imported some of the armors and Outfits from Fallout 3 and New Vegas but i was wrong, unfortunately. I was thinking more along the lines of the Joshua Graham's (Burned Man) armor, Legion armors, Leather Armor Outfit (One piece of armor, just like F3 and NV) and so on. Including Benny's suit, Vault 101 suit, Agatha's dress and many others. These could be imported and lore friendly by having a merchant from New Vegas and Washington, who's traded with the Vault Dweller and The Courier, who traded such items for whatever reason you can think of.
  9. Hey guys and girls! I just modded New Vegas for the first time (I'm sure you hate hearing that) and ran into a weird issue. The game played just fine and I made it to the Highway Patrol Station. I forgot I left ED-E in Primm and fast travelled to get him. Game froze and I restarted. When I started the game again, The music started and it started to load but then for some reason the new game screens started popping up. The DLC notes that say level cap had been aded and what not. I'll attach Pics of mods, load order, and a video of what happens in the next few comments. ANY help would be appreciated! If you need my machine specs I'll send them, but let me know how to find them? Thanks!!

  13. EDIT: I have since learned that projectiles must be created by using the FireWeapon command. I have switched to using that after creating a custom weapon, but the projectiles still seem to not be created. EDIT 2: It turns out the custom Misc. Object I created was to blame. I fixed the issue by duplicating an already existing item and using that as the Placed Impact Object. I'm not sure WHY it worked though. Read on for further details. I'm having issues with a simple script and placed object I have created. First, I created a miscellaneous item and set it as the Placed Impact Object of an explosion. I then created a custom projectile to be used in the script. I then created a script inside the miscellaneous item. Here is the script: scn TestProjectileScript int counter Begin GameMode if counter > 4 FireWeapon WeapTestProjectile Disable MarkForDelete endif set counter to counter + 1 End As you can see, the script is rather basic. I'm simply attempting to place 10 of these custom projectiles after 4 frames of the object's creation. I am now using the FireWeapon command on the custom weapon I created which is set to fire 10 projectiles. Even though the projectiles are set to have tracers 100% of the time I can't seem to spot them. I know I haven't messed with the rotation of the projectiles but even if I throw the explosive into the air I am unable to spot the projectiles anywhere. I get the feeling they aren't even being created. All help is appreciated.
  14. Exactly as it says in the title; No way to safely change race and keep all my perks, skills, and stats. Safe Race Menu does not work, neither does saving in the console. I need to know how races work in Fallout: NV within the engine itself, so I can figure out how I can alter the race data without altering the other bits of data. A big question I have that is related is if race is (for some unknown reason) tied within the code to the other player stats. Anyways, in general, I could use help on this one.   15. Is there any mods that can make Fallout: New Vegas look exactly like the intro? (same graphics, animations, effects, etc.), I was ashamed when I saw the intro and went into the game, I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but believe me, I find the game good the way it is, but I would like to mod the game to replace everything to what I have expected at the beginning. So is there any possible mods that resembles aspects from the intro?
  16. I'm planning on making a radio mod for Fallout: New Vegas. Not just for music, but one that rivals Galaxy News Radio from Fallout 3. Commenting on quests and their outcomes, addressing the player personally or just talking about the event depending on the player's level, stuff like that. I looked up a few tutorials and I've spent several hours looking at how Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas make their radio stations, and I've made a working prototype. However, I've gotten to a fork in the road. Fallout 3 does the radio broadcasts about completed quests by having each quest as a topic and every time a line of dialogue runs, it links back to the same topic but adds one to RadioGalaxyNewsQuest.ExploitVar, and the final line of dialogue links to the news ending topic. So the first line of dialogue would have the variable at zero and then the result script would add one, the second line would require that RadioGalaxyNewsQuest.ExploitVar be at one, and then the result script would add one to make it two, etc. In Fallout: New Vegas, though, they have three topics for all of the quests, and on the first topic (RNVNewsStory) they set the RadioNewVegas.nStory variable to whatever they want it to be for the quest. (31 for Three Card Bounty, for example) Then they link it to RNVNewsStory2 and on to RNVNewsStory3, depending on if there is more dialogue to say after the first topic, and the second and third topics for each quest require RadioNewVegas.nStory to be set to the number for that quest. When the last topic for that quest has been spoken, it links to the news transition or ending topic and sets RadioNewVegas.nStory to 0. So basically, Fallout 3 has one topic per quest, and Fallout: New Vegas has three topics for every quest condition in the game. What's the difference between these two methods, though? (Besides the obvious reasons) Does having fewer topics take up less disk space/have less of a performance impact? (Even though it's the same number of audio clips) Or is that just there to help reduce clutter in the GECK? If I made no sense whatsoever, it's because I hardly understand this stuff myself. Hopefully someone out there understands what I'm talking about. I could upload screenshots of what I'm talking about if people are having a hard time understanding. Thanks.
  17. So one of the biggest things I want to do in GoE is to make the classic finale slideshow. I've read through the scripts and they indicate that while they show as just "Slides" they're actually Bink video files. Has anyone tried to do this before in a mod? Would you be willing to give some general suggestions and guidelines? For example, will the compressor on the Bink website be enough to create the files or do we actually need a license for Bink? Or is there a way to "fake it" using some sort of changing texture system?

I have recently installed the "A Familiar Friend" mod for Fallout: New Vegas which adds the Pip-boy 2500 from Fallout 2, and I got myself thinking: "Is there any more Fallout 2 mods for Fallout New Vegas?", fortunately, I couldn't search for any more, so if someone can list me ones that they could possibly find, I would be appreciated.
  20. So I've already made a bit of a start but it's really going to be a long haul mod, just wondering if there'd be any interest in an underground quest mod based off Metro. Of course there will be surface action. It wouldn't be Metro without it. I'm really going for the feel of the game more so than the plot or setting for lore sake.   21. Hey guys, I'm having some issues with lighting in the GECK, and I was wondering if anyone may know what is causing this. So, I'm trying to work out what's going on with the interior lighting in my casino- two of the walls light really bright, whereas the other two are dark. They use symmetrical lighting, so this shouldn't be happening.   22. Hey, I've been looking for a mod to add more travelling merchants to the game with constant re-spawns and more guards. I kinda want to make a sniper/explosives expert and become a high-way raider. I tried as many key-words and searches as I could but nothing came up.   23. Hi! After completing all the DLC's, i now decided to complete the companion quests. This is not my first playthrough of Fallout NV (i have 220+ hours), but it is the first where i have played siding with the Legion. Sadly, i completed a quest, where i killed Corporal Sterling, whom i need to talk to in order to progress with Raul Teljada - "Old School Goul" quest. I know that using the command set "000e61a5".MetCorporalSterling to 1 would make me progress - but since i have yet to complete a game siding with the Legion; i have also yet to get the Achivements for doing so. Is there any way to progress with the quest, now that Sterling is dead? Or is there a mod that allows me to type in console commands, WIHTOUT disabling my ability to get Achivements? I know there are tons of mods that gives me all the achivements at once. But that is not what i am looking for, as i would like to achive the myself. I know i am perhaps asking a lot here; but please do know that any answers - any help is very much appreciated! Thanks, - Anton.
  24. So I am trying to create a character that uses the "emaciated" body model from the "Robert Male Bodies" mod. However, the only two emmaciated models have either a penis or clothes. I decided to just delete the penis from the 1st model in Nifskope. There didn't seem to be a problem in Nifskope, I simply deleted the branch, which left no holes in the model and shouldn't have conflicted with anything (I am 100% amateur when it comes to Nifskope, though, so enlighten me to any mistakes I've made by this point.) I even took one number down on the "NumChild" and updated the array on the main node, which appeared to be what someone else did on a video teaching something similar. Anyways, so it saved the file with no problems, but when I try to load it as a body model for the race I'm creating, the GECK crashes and tells me there was an error. Can someone please enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong?
  25. I recently downloaded Morrowind because I've enjoyed other RPG's made by Bethesda. While I am certainly enjoying it - more any of the others, in fact - I felt that the games roleplaying potential could be improved by adding in perks similar to that of Skyrim or Fallout 3. Are there any mods that I've overlooked that add perks to the game, or am the first person to suggest this?
