  1. I modded back in FO3, but it was always stuff for myself. I was never confident enough to post anything. Almost 15 years later and I finally get around to playing FO4. Yea, it is what it is. Anyway, after playing all of 2 days I decided I wanted a piece that was not in the game. I wanted a Horizontal Concrete Beam. I had seen vertical ones in-game so I figured it would be easy. Nope. BTW, I'm a programmer by day, but have no 3D modeling resources. I'm using NifSkope 2.0 Dev 8. Playing FO4 vanilla with DLCs and minimum mods. The issue I am having is what I assume would be the collision mesh. I'm not certain because I can't see those meshes in NifSkope, and it's a bit out of my knowledge base to even know if I am on the correct track. The symptom is although the floor piece will snap in place, AI won't walk on it and my toon sinks a little into it. I have spent days scouring my nif and comparing it to unpacked files from the game and it looks right. Again, I am assuming something broke in a mesh I do not know how to view/fix. The original nif I had seen was \Data\Meshes\DLC02\SetDressing\Workshop\ConcreteWallsWorkshopConcreteWall03.nif That is the vertical one. I want a horizontal one. And the length has to be adjusted to match the walls. In full disclosure when I was trying to figure out how to change the length without a 3D app, I did find a mod on Nexus that had that piece, horizontal and longer just like I wanted. But that one is not correct either, some messy stuff in the nif and did not work as-is as a floor piece. It works as a wall piece, but not a floor (AI won't use it). So I took that nif since it was the correct size and started cleaning up the blocks/nodes/connectionpoints/etc. in NifSkope. And I am stuck. Everything in NifSkope looks correct (to me at least), but it's no good as a floor. Is there anyone willing to take the nif I have edited and take a quick look in a 3D app to see if the mesh is messed up? Is that even possible since it is not the original model? I'm not allowed to upload the nif so I would also need input on how to share it. TIA
  2. Qualifier: I could have sworn I had seen half square floor tiles in the shape of a right triangle somewhere in FO4 Build mode. That being said... I'm looking for a simple(?) mod that will allow me to add right triangle (half a square, separated at the hypotenuse) flooring, maybe even roofing, to my builds. I've included a pic of a reservoir I'm constructing in Vault 88 which includes perimeter walkways. The blocky look, which I want to offset with the requested mod, is playing havoc with my OCD. Baseline requests: Available for all vanilla flooring option squares (at the very least the 256 x 256 squares) for Wood, Metal, Concrete, Warehouse, and Barn. I utilize the Warehouse floor blocks (256 x 256 x 320) more than all the other floor options combined. Nice-to-Haves: 1) Fully compatible with vanilla small-square floors (128 x 128) wherever they are available in the above categories; 2) Fully compatible with moriartykain's Custom Concrete Walls with Window Glass mod* (particularly the Grey Concrete floors, including the glass ones); 3) Fully compatible with Akaman's Build Your Own Pool mod, so that the right-triangle version of the water marker(s) completes any solid right-triangle flooring I may use at the edge of my pools (the least necessary, I realize, since you can place water markers which 'go through' solid material; but hey someone may want to make a diamond-shaped - relative to their rectangular floor plan - pool). *Which moriartykain based on cartman1975's original mod of similar name.   3. As the title suggests, I'm having an issue with walls, ceilings, floors, etc, being invisible inside interiors. AFAIK, the only mods I have that I know edit interior cells are Enhanced Flickering Firelight, Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks, Ultra Interior Lighting, Dynamic Interior Fog Removal, and Interiors Enhanced.   4. What I am looking for is a wall gap filler/spacer/trim that snaps between the first and second story walls. IE: I am building a loft style house and much of the upper floor has no floor. So I don't want to use the second story floor. There is an example included below. I would make it myself, but i wouldn't even know where to begin.

  7. TL;DR - All preexisting buildings in every settlement in my game do not have collision in the floors. I first noticed this problem when building in Starlight Drive-In. For whatever reason, the floors in the buildings didn't have any collision, meaning any object I tried to place would just clip through it. I largely ignored it because those rooms aren't really integral to the settlement, so I ventured on. I noticed it again at County Crossing, in the small, broken building. Again, not extremely important, so I moved on. Finally, I took the Castle, and as I started scrapping and setting up shop, I noticed the SAME problem inside of all of the walls: objects would just sink right through the ground. I really don't know where to turn to at this point. I don't believe any of the mods in my load order (found below) could cause this. Any insight that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I've got about 25 hours into this character and I would prefer not to have to lose him. Thanks!
  8. Hello. Now I love creating bases of all shapes and sizes, all of it, Even running conduits to make everything look nice and tidy. But I Cant be the Only person who gets frustrated by not being able to line them up so perfect. So not sure if this has been done or asked about, Cant find it any where. I want to know if it is possible to mod the 4 way conduit (This thing) so it can snap to any of these floors kind of like this. I thought with having it snap to the centre top or bottom would be easier than at the edges, And from there you could snap all other conduits to it. I Have tried myself in Nifscope but to no avail, Not even sure if that is the right program to use. I hope this is doable and not too much to ask. I would even try again to do it myself if someone would be willing to give me some tips on what to do.   9. Hello there, I'm new to modding. I only made followers or npc's for personal use, now I decided I want to make dungeons and guildquarters, again for personal use. But what I had most trouble with, were making floors and especially walls fit eachother. When I want to make a wall, I try to make them fit eachother. I make the use of "f" and rotation. Eventually, I still notice there are little gaps somehow. So is there a way to make several walls fit eachother perfectly instead of doing it manually? Also, I rotate my walls with the right mouse button and with the "w' command. When I make walls and I'm satisfied, I copy paste them so I can make them parallel with eachother, to make a long hallway. I failed since they never go parallel. Even when rotating or using "w" command, I can't make them parallel with eachother. Is there any way how to fix this? I had this problem only in this dungeon area, this is one of the first side missions, I played lots of skyrim before but decided to go on another run since i upgraded my hardware which is: MSI GTX 680 LightningMSI Z77A-GD65i7 3770k @ 4 GHzCorsair 8GB 1866MHzXFX Pro 650WSo please tell if it indeed is hardware problem , I'm using LITE 2k textures, well see on Imgur what mods I use, there are lots. I'm using RLO and when I turn it off there is literally nothing anywhere, everything disappears, but I'm ok with that since I want to use it. The first thing on the mod list is and ENB preset so I'm using that. Don't know what else to say other than that this problem didn't appear outside of this dungeon (well to be honest I didn't play much yet) I changed uGridsToLoad to 7 with the stable mod so I don't know what happened, should I start a new game and see if the problem is still there? (I apologize for the spelling error in the title) EDIT: Went to chat and thanks to user Ball11 my problem is fixed! Just had to turn off AA and AF in Skyrimprefs.ini
  12. Hello, I am considering using the Enhanced Blood Textures mod. However I have a problem with it: I don't want the blood to stay for long periods of time. How long does blood (pools under body's and spatters from sword/arrow hits) remain normally? And is there a way to change the period this remains on the floor? Thanks in advance.

  14. basically guys im in the process of creating a bunker for a mod quest im working on and a critical part of the design is to have a balcony with a force field looking down on another room. The best way I can see to do this is another room underneath with the same side pieces and walls only larger and middle floor pieces. The problem is the ceiling from the floor pieces is far to short and was wondering if there was any way (preferably simple) to set the ceiling height of floor pieces to make one large balcony room (think vault tall rooms) but with my own set height using a non vault theme. thx
  15. Hello there! I have a huge problem with my lakeview manor, since the floor and walls of the entrance hall is missing. I can't go walk past the carpet at the door, because I'll fall through. I have tried the "verify integrity of game cache" And it says that there is a file missing, and that it will be added. but nothing happens after that. I have attached a Picture so you can see how it looks.

I've fiddling around with the Dragon Age Toolset and I'm trying to add my own custom static model to be used as a tile (such as a floor or a wall) I've exported a mesh in the correct file format and put it in the override folder. However, it does not appear in the pallette window. I know I am definitely missing something, but there are no tutorials on adding a static model. Can somebody help? It's driving me crazy.

I have been tinkering with bouncy/jiggly version of my 'qahnaarin' clothes' for a while now, and while i have everything that i wanted, i have this annoying issue where if i keep moving, breasts and butt of the player character go straight through the ground, and sometimes even stay there. As soon as i stop moving, the said pieces of mesh right themselves up pretty quickly, and sometime i have to just move a camera for them to behave well. .. i would like to know why that happens, from someone who's very well versed in SMP physics system, and let me know if problem is in the meshes, or my own setup. dunno what else to say.. opening console also makes B&B's sink through the floor, while closing it makes it as it never happened xD, and also pausing and unpausing the game makes the B&B's do a quick, small jolt. .. and jitters and sinks on rocky ground..? lemme know if someone would want to have a go at it,, so i may see how to send the file to you in private.
  18. *SOLVED* *Set default timescale value (or anything above 1).* I installed SKSE, SKYUI, and Skyrim HD at max quality, SMAA injector, no FXAA, no MSAA, HW 16x AF implementation. I have already tested out default .inis versus my .inis, hardware AF, SMAA, and plugins, and the problem persists. It has got to be some sort of texture error, so I've went through my entire texture folder looking for any texture resembling the following (to replace or delete it), and I've came up with nothing. Please help. *Note* - Due to 250kb limit, I've had to resize screenshots, but you get the idea. The rest can be viewed here.

For some reason the concrete floor in Home plate will not allow me to place anything. things that were there stay, but once I pick it up, I can not place it back down, it never turns green and will let me put it through the floor.
