  1. how to change follower eye colors and add moles to her face? I've been trying to change this manula by replacing texture files as well as using Nifmerge but it never properly works
  2. As barebones as it can be with little additional features preferably. NFF and Swiftly Order Sqaud has too many stuff that I don't care for. I found one for LE called Recall Followers that actually still works in AE. It adds a spell to teleport followers though so kind of inconvenient having to equip and cast a spell. Good alternative for now. I used to have one installed for FO4 but I can't remember which one of these was it, Configurable Hotkeys and FO4 Hotkeys. This doesn't really help so just for reference I guess.
  3. Hello there! I never imagined I'd be interested in modding with the Creation Kit, because the level of madness in this quest could make even Sheogorath jealous! My experience with CK is pretty limited since I'm mainly a localizer. So. I'm wandering, maybe someone would like to help me with reviving (or more accurately, recreating from scratch) one of the abandoned mods for a unique follower? I've already made fully standalone follower, gave her basic custom follower framework (thanks to Joseph Russel guides with creating it) and now, I'm a bitty stalled with next steps, scripting, packaging and questing. Maybe a lil bit more guidance in learning from the modders community would help? There aren't many comprehensive guides online, and none seem to cover all the ideas I have for this follower. I won't find peace in Sovngarde until I'll finish this mod. PM me, for more info. I would be glad, if someone would like to team up or simply help me a bit with learning.

We need a SIMPLE AND LIGHT mod that allows us to change the clothes and armor of our followers and ONLY THE FOLLOWERS, without that mega complicated and resourceful thing that covers a lot of NPCs unnecessarily opening dialog boxes that shouldn't exist, isn't there any modder capable of doing that please? i just want to change the clothes of my housecarls without having to add a bunch of unnecessary features that in my opinion break the immersion of the game, it would be better if we could have a special button that allows us to equip our followers with the clothes and weapons we want in the swap box just like it's originally done in fallout 4 that's what's missing in skyrim.
  5. Hello Skyrim Modding Community, I've been working on a Skyrim mod that involves a follower named Henry, who is supposed to mount his own horse when the player mounts theirs. However, despite numerous attempts, I haven't been able to implement this feature successfully. I think AI packages are needed, but Henry works with scripts rather than Ai packages. If anyone has experience with implementing follower horse mounting features or has insights into how to resolve the issues we're facing, particularly with getting Henry to mount his horse, I would greatly appreciate your help and guidance.   7. Do you have any ideas on how I can make Arcade have an Eyebot as his personal follower? I would like to make it so that in the dialogue you can choose whether to hire only Arcade, or Arcade and his Eyebot. How do you think I should do this? Maybe something to do with Arcade's faction, assigning the same faction to that Eyebot as well? Advise me on your ideas, because I honestly have no idea what approach to take to do something like this. Thank you in advance.
  8. 2D/3D artist here, and a long-time Skyrim player. Disclaimer: I have never modded anything before, so this subject is all very daunting. (i.e. Explain it to me like I'm your grandma. I'm just an artist, not a tech guy.) My goal: So, I designed and sculpted a completely original 3D character within ZBrush. I want it to be rigged appropriately, with physics, like cloth (it is currently rigged with an AccuRIG skeleton, but I assume that isn't very helpful here). Then, I want to import it into Skyrim as my custom follower. Q: How (in the bloody heck) do I do this?? I have watched countless YouTube tutorials, read many forums, and joined many modding Discords, but I feel I'm no closer to finding out. All I've gathered (frustratingly) is that I need a Skyrim skeleton and a NIF format for import. I have never used CreationKit before either. Also, my character designs are a bit more...stylized/cartoonishly proportioned...so I doubt my character(s) will match up with the default Skyrim skeleton without some tampering. I have recently downloaded NifSkope, Vortex, CreationKit, Bodyslide & Outfit Studio, and a bunch of mods [including Project Proteus, Mantella, FNIS, etc.], but I barely know how to use any of them. I have also tried the Blender to NIF plugin, but keep getting errors. At this point, I've wasted so much time running in circles that I'm almost willing to just pay a modder to do this for me. Any help is appreciated.

  10. Hello, at the moment I am concerned about the possibility of creating followers with a cusmtom head (not racemenu and high poly head), a head made from photographs or ported from another game. I have some work in the form of .obj files of heads from facegen and facebuilder in blender. I'm already tired of looking for a guide to creating a head for Skyrim. Maybe you can tell me?
  11. I have seen some mods that change how to use the Tree perk Skills, other that while not related directly. could be tied as it's relate to the sma end goal. In general, the speech perk is mostly used for trade and some other rare ocasions. but as a menber of the mod BUVARP. some ideias started to pop up. some as.: Realist Followers.: -Some follower will no longer be acessible after one quest, if they aren't your housecarl, they may refuse for being busy at the day. -Followers might auto unfollow the player based on amount of time spent + actions (not interacting with them, crime, etc, based on type) -Hirelings will stay regardeless, giving now a benefit, but will from time to time auto engage with the player after some time to renew the contract -Followers will auto relax ( A message will appear at the top to inform the player that follower moved to X place to relax for a while ) -Followers will now send the courier to ask help from the player, this improving the relationship and easier acess to them. -A additional Rank beyond friend or lover wold work as an extra variable to define that. -Ability to teach an aquired ability or sugest new behaviors for followers based on location and time. some concepts that has been done by cloudedtruth and the mod Outfit NPCs. Utility.: - Pretty much like Immersive Speechcraft, but now will require location, time and relationship Immersive marriage and simple romance.: - It's now required a little more than the amulet of Mara for a NPC to say "yes", now having to visit the chosen NPC and redo their quests a few times + speech for better chances. - Bard or writer skill to conquer faster. - possibility to conquer new npcs based on speech skill - Love confort can be given by wench, bard or flower girl based on relationship and fame. (This concept being propely done by MannyGt, but being abit outdated. Trade and barter: kryptopyr has done it already. Realism.: - Fancy NPCs may not be interacted easly based on race, time of the day and location. requiring events in proprer places in other to work. if the player bother a NPC during a dialogue, will trigger for example the guard to interrup the player. - Tweak the time until a npc can use a pharse, so to be less repetitive.
  12. this is not a mod request. i will make a mod request when one needs to be made. I need a spell that will turn npcs into followers via spell. none of the mods ive seen does this in the way that i want it. I want to be able to walk up to a person, cast a spell on them, and have them act like a normal folloer.

So basically I've learned how to create standalone NPCs (custom meshes/textures) for the PC version of Skyrim (both LE/SSE) and am wanting to upload to Xbox SSE. but, when I do that the NPC will have a messed up head. She will have the standard face mesh placed over the intended head mesh but the hair included in my NPC looks fine. I have noticed the CK will auto-save/overwrite my original FaceGen Data NIFs/DDS files every time I save my esp and also when I upload my character. In order to restore my character's appearance in the PC game I paste backed-up originals of the FaceGen Data NIFs/DDS files ans save over the ones the CK keeps auto-creating. When I go into NifScope or SSE (PC) my character looks as they should. Just some background -- I basically created my follower using RaceMenu for Skyrim LE, used NifMerge to "merge" the FaceGeom data from the CK (32bit) with the imported head data of RM, built the follower in the CK (32bit) (of course), ported them over to SSE using the standard methods for porting to SSE/CK (64bit), and then ultimately wanting to upload to B.NET for Xbox users. I've noticed some modders have had no problems getting their standalones on SSE-->B.NET and XB1 with the correct face, ie. Frida (vanilla voicetype/dialog), Recorder (custom voicetype/dialog), Inigo (custom voicetype/dialog) -- what's the secret there? How do I get the CK to stop overwriting my FaceGenData so I can use the correct NIF/DDS files when I upload to B.NET? Is there an INI setting for that? Do I need to include a femalehead.nif (+tri files?) in my data/mesh/actor/character/MOD.ESP/head folder and link the textures in NifScope as well as add the headpart+texture set in the CK? Do I need to create a new race for my NPC and turn off the FaceGen head flag? Or is a mod in my load order (XB1) messing with the face? Someone on B.NET suggested I have the box for "Is CharGen Preset" in the Actor/NPC window marked, tried that and it didn't work. After saving it still saved over my FaceGenData files.   14. When i walk up to certain NPCs their name won't show up, and there will be no prompt to interact with them. This includes Serana, which is super annoying cause I want to dismiss her but I can't. There seems to be no pattern to the people that are affected by this, but it's like 30% of all NPCs. I've slimmed down my mod list and removed my enb but to no avail.   15. I would really love some help -- perhaps education -- on some scripting because I'm just running out of hair everywhere with this. I’m basically wanting to add a tracking/location marker — a quest pip — a custom NPC much like you see in the Inigo and Sofia follower mods. I used the Sofia follower mod as a reference. The mod doesn't come with the PSC source file so I used Champollion to decompile the relevant PEX file to get the script code. I've done some research everywhere and found some ideas, tried a couple of suggestions but have had no success -- the quest just doesn't fire up in my game. I want the script to work much like how the Sofia follower mod works. A Misc objective pops up on the screen as soon your game loads,A Misc objective that displays in the journal and can be turned on and off (of course) and basically shows a marker/pip over the follower when it is on, and not when it is off.   16. Hi everyone, I want my follower to use modded spells like apocalypse or magic evolved but I want those spells to be contained within my follower's esp. I thought it would be as simple as duplicating each of the magic effect and spells, changing the ID's, changing the magic effects to point to the duplicated ID's, and then adding them to my followers spell list. Seems like I am missing someting. Last time I tested, my game CTD as soon as my follower went into combat mod..leading me to believe a spell script got caught up somewhere. Any suggestions?
  17. I typed in healer to look for a follower who can heal you and....they were all female! There's nothing wrong with girls- but my female character wants an Altmer husband, and I love the followers that heal you. I WISH he could have the high elf voice type but that's not including marriage dialog, so I guess anything except the male dunmer voice type would be alright. Also I'd love him to either use a sword a sword/shield or be tanky. My character is an archer/caster This would be so helpful. I know how to make followers but now how to set up spells and healing like that. Thanks!

So for a while I've had this idea for a kind of big mod but I have so little experience with coding outside of html (and even then I don't have that much experience and I constantly need to look at my notes) but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this or if I was the only one who liked the idea. If other people like it I'll see about getting some help and tutorials and maybe making this a reality. So irl I'm going to assume some of you guys have little siblings. I always thought it would be awesome if there was a follower mod to give the dragonborn a little sister. Maybe when they reach a certain level, there's an encounter they have where an exhausted girl runs up and tries to get their attention (kind of like the couriers). And when she finally has their attention, she tries to explain that she is their younger sister and she's crossed all over tamriel looking for them and now that she's finally found them, she wants to travel with them and spend the rest of her life fighting by their side. The player could either basically tell her to f*** off and that they don't believe her, leaving her crying and effectively ending the mod (why download it if you don't want to use it, I don't know but some people might like that option), or accept her and let her tag along. She could have commentary on all the guilds, the main quest, the towns, and creatures, all coming from the perspective of a very curious and charming teenage girl. I'd put her age at around 15-17 so the VA would have to be either around that age or able to sound that age (not to dunk on M'rissi but that VA sounded way older than the character she was portraying). Obviously there would need to be a model for each race (would be incompatible with modded races unless I modded in models for custom races) and I don't know how I'd be able to make her change race depending on the player's chosen race but she'd maintain the same voice throughout. She'd be an essential character (who wants to see a little girl die?). And I can't believe I have to say this but. No, you can't marry your sister.

I've created my first follower, I've followed instructions as I was supposed to, everything works, his dialogue, his idle marker, everything, but he doesn't attack, if I attack a random NPC, he draws his weapon and shield, and just blocks, he wont strike at all and he just gets cornered and dies. His aggression is set to aggressive and confidence is set to brave, and assistance is set to help allies Why isn't he attacking anything? why is he only blocking? I've spent a long time on this so id really prefer it if my effort didn't go to waste Thanks in advance Fixed: Attack data wasn't set properly, I set override from behaviour graph to NordRace and he was able to attack. it was set to FoxRace, for some reason..
  20. So I've come across a recent problem with animal followers. At first, I was trying to make a new animal follower from scratch in the creation kit. I followed several tutorials exactly, step-by-step, but whenever I went in game to test, the animal would have the "[E] Talk to (animal name)" as usual, but when I'd press E, no dialogue would follow. In fact, absolutely nothing happened. I chalked this up to maybe I can't follow directions, but I downloaded another mod that has an animal follower from someone else and I'm having the same issue. Whenever I look up this problem, people either have issues with the actual recruiting process but can still talk to the animal (getting a "you are already in command of a companion" message) and the few people who have my problem (not being able to talk at ALL) briefly mention it but there are no answers. I tried going into console and typing "set playeranimalcount 0" but I get a message like, "error. Missing the "to" in code," whatever that means. I don't have any other animal followers either because I haven't done the quests to get them. In the original version of Skyrim, not special edition, I downloaded a mod that had a Link Wolf follower that seemed to work fine but that mod has been removed long ago. I'm not sure if this is an issue in the special edition but please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
  21. Can we get some real followers with good voices instead of 10 over the top nude females per week? My request in better terms: Fully voiced male characters in races not usually used. Iâd love to see some male orcs and argonians. Followers that utilize Ordinator perks when leveling (may as well considering how popular Ordinator is) Iâd be willing to voice act. I donât have experience in it but I have the equipment and would love to try. Iâm also a GM for Pathfinder and do practice multiple accents for the sake of better role play.
  22. Could someone make me a Follower (that can be married) that looks as close as possible to the classic 1980's -1990's cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle reporter April O'Neil? Just her appearance and skills that would sense for her. Don't need her Jumpsuit or such (already found a banana yellow Fallout jumpsuit mod and white boots that look great anyway lol) and some existing TMNT mods too. Just a simple follower that looks as possible like her and some skills. No Weapons or Clothes necessary unless you felt like it.
  23. I always thought a good idea would be a mod about you finding another Dragonborn that's young and can't control their powers. Then make a long but kind of slow quest line where you have to teach the younger Dragonborn, with you being older and more experienced, you kind of end up in a master-student relationship. And depending on what you say and do they would change and grow. So you kind of get to decide what kind of person/Dragonborn they become. Maybe they would occasionally ask you questions about different things. Sometimes they would do something and you might have to react to it. Maybe have sparing sessions or teach lessons about something every once in a while. Put in some kind of regard system so if you have a high regard they will listen to you and follow your example, basically become more like you. But with low regard they will move away from your actions and more or less become the opposite of you, whatever that is, whether good or evil. Get them mad enough and they will run away or even attack you. You could make some really cool quests to branch off of that too. Say they run away because you're good and they are evil, but then they start causing havoc with all the power and combat skills you taught them. Then you have to either go try to turn them around or put a stop to them permanently. Anyway just thought it was a cool idea. I realize it would be a ton of work and Skyrim modding might die here in a year or two, but it can't hurt to throw it out there. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

I recently started a new game, with a bunch of mods loaded up that seemed to be working fine together, but today when I popped in The Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun, I noticed that Jenassa was wearing studded imperial armor instead of the leather armor she was supposed to. I thought this seemed inappropriate for her character, so I went to find the mod that was causing this so I could edit it in the Creation Kit and get back to playing. The weird thing is, if I disable any one of the other mods, Jenassa will appear in her normal leather armor. For instance, if I disable SMIM, a mod that doesn't change anything about NPCs or what they wear, but keep all the other eighteen plugins enabled, Jenassa will wear the leather armor as she should. As soon as I re-enable SMIM, and boot up the game, Jenassa will be wearing the studded imperial armor. It seems like having these mods enabled together is causing this, but I have no idea why or how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me bonkers trying to figure out because it doesn't make any sense to me.
  25. The Sofia follower mod is one of my favorites. My single concern is that Sofia ALWAYS bumps into me. When we're out walking. When we're sneaking. When we're on horseback. Stop my horse, look over there at the - BUMP, I'm now looking at something else. Ready my bow, aim... BUMP. Godammit, Sofia! If I open the plugin in CK, what should I look for to change some values so that she never gets closer than a certain distance to me?
