  1. Hello, I have been modding for a couple weeks now and am having trouble finding any information on how to control hand placement and reload animations for custom weapons. All i can do so far is try to use nif skope to maneuver the model to fit the hand placement of one of the vanilla guns. but this leaves the reload animations looking retarded... could anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial. CreationKit.com is empty and i can't find anything through google... I know people have figured this out, there are a bunch of new gun mods for the game. So this is what I have working so far, the gun is the gauss rifle from New Vegas and i put it in the game using a copy of the cryolator in CK because the animation for reloading fits the model nicely. Litterally shows him grabbing the Microfusioin cell and tossing it then plugging a new one in, But the gun sits off aligned in first person and the microfusion cell disappears in first person.
  2. Title pretty much says all. I prefer the look and the use of the Gauss rifle from Fallout 3/NV, and it would appreciated if someone was able to bring it over to Fallout 4. P.s. Not to mean to literally move the files over from game to game, but to remake it in a similar fashion to bring it into Fallout 4.
  3. I gave a companion a gauss rifle quite some time ago and noticed that even when the gun wasn't drawn, the charge up and fully charged idle sound would loop when i was near them. I've since taken the gun from their inventory but all the time I can still hear those sounds playing and I can't find a way to stop them. I've found solutions to this happening to player characters but I haven't found a fix for this problem on NPCs. I've tried having him draw the weapon, fully charging it, then firing it, then I open the console and use unequipitem to remove it and it has no effect. I've also had him use the gun until it runs out of ammo and still the sound loops.
  4. Just an idea if anybody who actually knows how to make this stuff would be interested. I was thinking about it being something very powerful, but only holds one shot. Sort of like the Martini-Henry or Tankgewehr rifles from Battlefield 1 but with laser or even Gauss Rifle shells. Honestly even just a mod that converts the receiver of the lever action rifle to carry 2mm EC cartridges without changing the appearance would be super cool.
  5. Hello, I recently have modded Fallout: New Vegas and have noticed when I go into the third person and shoot with my gauss rifle, my character aims either high to the sky or right at my feet. What I would like to know is what file the gauss rifle uses to shoot in the third person so I may replace it with the original animation file. I have tried looking this up with FNVEdit but it does not open for me. Thanks ahead of time. DocDodo

Hi all, To start things out, I've been browsing the Nexus for quite some time and came across some amazing weapon mods, many of them look delicious photogenic, however, after gazing my eyes upon some laser weapons in particular, I thought to myself, 'Why doesn't Fallout 4 have any cool looking Gauss guns yet?' Coming to this conclusion alone, I thought to myself what could fit and also look sci-fi and high-tech.... And I thought back upon to the GK8/XM2014 Gauss Rifle from Crysis 1. (It IS an EM gauss rifle, after all) though much nicer looking than the rusty military scrapyard find that the vanilla gauss rifle is, to my tastes, at least. And I'd really like to see it ported (legally) or remade into Fallout 4. I really like the looks of it and general, and the cyan glow it gives off on the barrel flair is a really nice touch, IMO. If someone is up to the task of trying to bring this into Fallout, I would be quite happy. Thanks! :smile:
  7. I personally liked the design of the Gauss Rifle from 3 and New Vegas more than the current vanilla design of Fallout 4. I'm surprised no one ever felt the same and made a mod to replace all the gauss rifles to look like their previous iterations. I've certainly tried to look for it, to no avail. If anyone ever gets inspired to make this mod, or if anyone finds a mod that does exactly this, I'd love to see it. It will look absolutely perfect and will match my X-02 power armor. Plus, what really makes me wish the old version was in this game was the crank lever. Dunno why, just looks so cool.
  8. Hi, While trying to find a free alternative to the prototype gauss rifle, I discovered that the gauss rifle was based on the L39. Which is why I would like to request someone make a mod adding the Lahti L39 anti-tank rifle. I envision the mod being on par with the existing PTRS mod, achieving that level of quality and modularity. In addition, gauss receivers could be added to convert the weapon into the gauss rifle we all know and love from previous games. If the permissions can be obtained, many of the PTRS's parts (especially the muzzles, bullets, and barrels) could be used in an L39 mod. -- Notes The L39 was chambered in 20mm, but there were conversions to 50 bmg.There was a full-auto variant that was used as an anti-aircraft batteryThe sight is directly to the left of the magazineThe crank is for cocking the weapon after loading a magazine (it is semi-auto, so this only happens after reloading) Reference
  9. Hi, Can someone create a mod that removes charging from the gauss rife but still fires with full strength as when fully charged? Thanks in advance
  10. Would like to see a mod that auto charges the Gauss rifle when you have it out. I dont like wondering around holding down the right mouse button waiting for someone to pop there head out of a door. Plus my fingers tend to twitch slightly so i will end up shooting without meaning to. I think a auto charge function for the Gauss rifle would make it much better weapon. The nice animation constantly going would be wonderful as well. Plus you should still be able to click and fire before a full charge is made. If this is considered over powered (i dont honestly see how) could always reduce charge time by 10 - 20 % so it takes longer to charge. Hopefully someone could make something like this. As is i just find it hard to use the thing without wasting ammo or being annoyed with holding down charges.
  11. I am using the first person weapon animation overhaul from hitman47101 and the gauss rifle is clipping and it takes up nearly the entire right side of my screen which makes aiming very hard. I am using Asurah and EVE if that helps. I would like to fix that somehow while keeping the mod.
